I'll think about combat modules, sure
If you want to build modules in the atmosphere, you can use the built-in projector and build them on the hull itself
Love the idea and plans of this.
as for swapping out the parts you can fit an ions in each direction to reposition in space or use a tug to swap parts out. forklift in atmo works well.
OOORRR if you really want to get fancy with it. A dedicated MX doc that swaps parts like the hover cargo in Zoids New century zero. (currently work on one)
Although I still don't think it's that good. I always want to improve something

TheHellKat, thanks, yeah dedicated ships are more convenient for daily use, and I myself prefer to use them, but there are situations when modularity is more practical (but not easier, lol)
Maybe I'm just lazy but I find dedicated ships easier to work with.
Additional modules (fuel cargo unit and batteries power unit) were also released
