the mod is cool, i have try to put a assault katana on a Medium mech and don't work. saddly for others sfutt is realy perfect

That's okay, but I will say the MK II is part of one of the YAM collection mods. (Maybe a more recent one.)
Just thought I'd bring it up in case that meant that is simply wasn't working with ANY YAM mods.
I'll try using it on other mechs and give the results later.

Considering the Vulture Mk II is added by a separate mod, it's likely that my mod doesn't overwrite the hardpoint slots they used to make it. I unfortunately don't have the capability to modify anything at the moment, so I can't help, sorry!

It says no compatibility issues with the YAM mod series but that's exactly what its having trouble with.
I can't fit the Vulture MK II with autocannons. :(

Non-melee slots will not hold melee weapons, I was under the assumption you were trying to put different size melee weapons into a slot. I'm away from my computer for an extended period and can't even look at the creation kit to see if it's possible, sorry.

I can't put any melee weapons on the mechs, and that's all i wanted instead of having to hunt around the entire galaxy to find a mech that has melee just for it to be a mech i can't/wont use anyway

Melee is kind of janky, I haven't figured out exactly how to make it work. The hardpoint sizes are theoretically changed like all the others, but they still refuse certain weapons.

Unfortunately, that's an entirely different beast as far as mods go. I'd have to go through each individual mech and add hardpoint slots, which would start clashing with any mod that changes mech hardpoints. If there's enough interest, I could take a look and see if it's possible, but I wouldn't be able to service the mod (or any of these) after April 2nd, as I'll be gone for the rest of the year.

Is there a version that both opens slots to all types and increases number of slots available? For instance, I can't put 2 medium lasers in the Centurion's right arm because it only has one weapon slot of each category. Don't want the space reduced, just addition to number of slots while allowing any type weapon to go in.

I've found that when using "Classic Mech Collection Lore YAML" with this mod, if you equip any weapon type that deviates from what the weapon slot states, then you end up with no HUD in game for the mechs from that mod. Thankfully, it hasn't affected other mods or mechs linked with YAML, and ensuring the correct weapon type is fitted in the appropriate weapon slot solves the issue without the need to uninstall this otherwise brilliant mod.

If you uninstalled the mod and its still the same, i doubt its this mod.

Could be that something in the game corrupted, try file validation.

All of a Sudden all my base lv0 weapons in Market cost 0. Jumped to multiple planets to check. Uninstalled the mod and its still the same. Any guess why?

So I slapped together a smaller hardpoints mod, linked below. I tried to make it work with melee hardpoints, but it's a mixed bag. Looks like different weapon *sizes* work, but they're still restricted to the chassis size they were meant for. Sorry boys, best I can do for right now.

I like some parts of yaml, but it somehow makes the game feel worse gameplay wise except jump jets and artillery, like everything is slower and more boring.

I dont want to play with yaml.

the only thing that yaml tiny slots option doesn't make work is the melee hardpoints. i tried that option to see if i could put an assault katana on my highlander. but i guess the melee hardpoints are harder to change.

Shouldn't be that hard to put together, if you're using YAML, you can just use the "Tiny weapons" option. If not, I'll look into making it this weekend sometime.

The only thing I can think of is if those mods added their own weapon slot types or overwrote mine. Check your mods list to see if it mentions a conflict, if it doesn't then I'd delete and reinstall this mod to see if it works. If it still doesn't then one of your mods is adding a new type of weapon slot that mine doesn't override, which I have very little control over.

for me, i have an empty slot i click it and it only lets me equip the correct weapon type. It might be because i also have yet another clan weapon and yet another clan invasion with the pirate addon and somewhere they are conflicting i guess.

@Bastion, I've noticed it's a bit wonky myself, if you click on a slot that already has a weapon in it, the replacement list will only show that weapon type, but removing the weapon and clicking on the empty spot seems to work.

If there's a more specific problem please let me know. I'm not sure what all I can do, but I can at least try and troubleshoot.

Unfortunately it's the opposite, I just added the different weapon type tags to all the specific hardpoints' information. If I were to change the weapon itself it wouldn't be compatible with any of the Yet Another mods due to the fact that I can't access their source to change anything.

Given how each list just shows everything now, I imagine the mod works by changing the equipment type. So, rather than making the change on the equipment, is it possible to change the slots instead?
