there has been an idea for a fix but i have yet to have time to try it- i will eventually but life comes first

can you fix the disappearing problem? Sometimes the thrusters disappear visually but reappear when close or something. This also affects your hydro tanks and possibly other blocks too

I have no plans to change to the vanilla Icons- I find them immensly hard to see so I prefer to use the colour icons

Oh thank you for the response, I greatly appreciate it ^.^ I am in no rush at all, I love the models for the engines and I have been using them on a lot of my designs lately so thank you for all the hard work you've put into this mod ^.^

Theres no plans to change the bases or add others of the existing- but I could so some other variants. My pc will be up and running again soon but have a few commisions to catch up on before i can return to these

I love the style of these thrusters but I just have one problem, the large non-cowled versions don't have a solid base and make it hard to seam them into armor for aesthetic purposes, Anyway when your more active you could make a version with the base like the cowled version?

Hello, I would like to request permission to make a private tech version of these and upload it as an add on that requires your original mod as a dependency in addition to the tiered tech mod.

I would link back to your original mod and note all credit for the original work if that's ok.

@nosco apologies, new job and new home have kept me busy, it's unknown what's causing the invisible bug. I plan to be active again in the new year and will.look into it again.

For now painting the invisible block will fix it

something i have noticed using your small eco thrusters (haven't really used others) after a bit of flight, it puts me, visually, in space,and it breaks audio with loud popping. Other's i have played with have this problem. the only temporary fix is restarting the world. First noticed it in a server i was playing on, but now it's everywhere i play.

Simply put- If i made the small thruster too good it would be better to have 9 of them then one of the large, one thruster is much more permanent then 9 and I also dont believe smalls would have the capability to output anywhere near as much thrust- hence why i think they are in a good spot

Hi Zardo! I really like the style of your cowled thrusters in this mod, and your design style in general on all your mods.

I see you've adjusted the boosted thruster fuel consumption and thrust output before. At this point, the large boosted thruster outputs +50% thrust for +100% fuel consumption versus vanilla large H2 thruster. That feels meaningfully different.

You've consistently kept the small boosted thruster at +2-3% thrust increase for +44% fuel use rate. By now I assume it's deliberate design choice. Am I missing a useful reason why to ever use the small boosted thrusters?

(I could see one of 1) proportional +50% thrust +100% fuel use, +33% thrust +67% fuel use, or +25% thrust +50% fuel etc, or 2) disproportionally less efficient +40% thrust +100% fuel use or similar b/c smaller vanilla is less power efficient while denser and more volume efficient.)

Not a criticism, just asking to understand the small boosted thruster's role in your design scheme!

I cannot add compatability im afraid- these are designed to work with vanilla without being over powered- the tiered thrusters would be counter to that.

In addition it would have to be a whole new mod variant of these and id rather keep them to my one mod, sorry

Any chance of an Industrial Overhaul specific version of this? The thruster fuel consumption for IO thrusters is lower than base game, so it makes the economy thrusters worthless.

So for some reason the mod just doesn't show up on our server. I can't be sure if this is a mod conflict, a bug or a server host issue though. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the mod to no noticeable effect.

SG versions are coming soon- have a few commision models to complete and a handful of addons to my other mods (antenna and tanks) then its back to this mod

Zardos this has become a must have mod for me. Being able to modify the files has allowed me to make much cooler viable ships by boosting up the thrust and reducing the fuel requirements manually. Now if we just have the small grid versions, my thousands of hours in SE would be complete. :)

@zardo what changes did you make to the boosted thrusters? According to in game HUD the thrust power is the same and fuel used is not much less than before.

Previous:
LARGE: 7.80 MN for 6.11 kL/s
8% more thrust for 25% more fuel

SMALL: 1.10 MN for 1610.0 L/s
1.85% more thrust for 100.5% more fuel


Now:
LARGE: 7.80 MN for 5.78 kL/s
8% more thrust for 19.9% more fuel (prolly 20% with rounding)

SMALL: 1.10 MN for 1160.0 L/s
1.85% more thrust for 44.44% more fuel (prolly 45%)

Bug fix update
- collisions fixed on all variants
- Boosted fuel consumption amounts tweaked to hopefully promote more value

I am sure you are already aware, but the thrusters tend to unload their assets when you quit the game. Other than that, this mod is beautiful.

UHHH we has a bit of an oopsie... found a bug.

my world is quite modded and when i load back into it - any thrusters i placed are gone. the flame is there, the thrust is there, the actual thruster model is not there. i recolor the thruster and POOF it reappears.

@connakazie thanks for the feedback! I agree with the boosted needing a tweak to their values- I couldnt decide what would be beneficial with those, I do want them to be very fuel hungry either way.
I can look into the economy flame length- My idea was that since they burn less fuel their flame wouldnt be as visible but i can happily tweak it!
And thanks for the kind words! I never thought my mods would get this much visibility it makes my day!

I might be able to get an update out today if i can find time between commisions and the total warhammer update, if not itll be tomorrow :)
