@hea Yeah... from a gameplay perspective it wouldn't really work - it'd either be really easy to get at random, which wouldn't make for a fun experience generally, or it'd take a LOT of alcohol to get in which case it wouldn't show up in normal play. So... agreed, lmao

Actually, alcohol addiction *can* happen within as little as a few weeks, but doesn't always. Some people do indeed take years, but it varies wildly from person to person. You do, however, need to drink *heavily*, with multiple drinks a day and/or several drinks a week, to really risk it.

In general, I want to somehow figure out the system of gaining and losing traits so that they do not break the spirit of balance.
The possibility to get all the traits during the game sounds cool, but it turns the player into an unstoppable killing machine. I don't want to see that.
In the future, I plan to rework this system, but how - I can not yet answer. I have been thinking about this for over a year, but so far I have not found the ideal solution.

@Foster It's more about personal preference to disable earning for Alcoholic. Not code limitation.
I just decided that getting Alcoholic in game is kinda weird. To become real alcoholic you like have to drink for years. So well...

I'm curious; Is there some kind of engine limitation with the fluid mechanics that prevents Alcoholic from being earned through gameplay in the B42 version like you could B41, or is there another reason for it like a bug or just personal preference, balance, etc?

I don't mind that much since if I want to experience that trait I tend to just take it, but I find it peculiar to remove a dynamic trait functionality like that unless there's some reasoning behind it that isn't readily self-evident.

@hea, всё сделал как вы сказали, но не помогло. Я решил порыться в модах и нашел довольно странный конфликт вроде как не связанных по механнике модов: "zRe Better Lockpicking" есть идеи как это решить?

I suggest that alcoholic doesn't remove the fatigue you get from alcohol because otherwise it's just a free debuff.

Может кто нибудь подсказать как решить проблему? Двоятся бонусы от перков (к примеру от баффа сильный даётся +"4 +4" вместо просто +4, и так со всеми перками) никаких модов у меня кроме этого на перки и проффесии не стоит, ни одного мода из списка конфликтующих у меня не стоит, что делать?((

Also I can't agree with you.
All the time we has Brave (-70% panic generation), which is pretty amazing option comparing with Desensitized for half points.
Panic isn't the only thing you have to deal with in the game.
If you think 8 points is low, I think 8 points is way too high. Trait was added so people would have alternative to Veteran and can take it from beginning or just earn it with time and zombie kills.
Also Beta blockers is a thing. You can always find or save it to fight against the horde.

Can you add an option to disable taking desensitised for 8 points? It's very powerful and a must take at that price so we want to disable it on our server if possible?

Has anyone else been experiencing issues with the Ride with the Wind trait from the Drag Racer profession? Driving over 60 mph causes me to gain a great deal of stress, versus depleting it like the trait says it does.

Sorry if you've already answered this, but when are you going to fix the Alcoholic trait? It was a trait I always used; the points it gave me were very useful, and over time, I could remove it, even though my character suffered greatly

yeah true but tissues and toilet paper arent super common to come by, and plus if u plan to use two-handed weapons during combat u cant muffle the sounds of coughing which inevitably just brings more and more zombies.

i think smoker is too quick to starting coughing when at 75 endurance, imo it should be lowered to 50-55% endurance, or give more points in return. having low to average fitness with this perk seems like an unavoidable death sentence in high zombie pop areas.
