Yes the mod is being updated to 1.4.4, the update will be featuring the Guardian Class (up to moon lord) and a full shaman class rework from the ground up, hence the time it's taking :)

same, I kept looking up alchemist terraria and gambler to try to find what the mod was, finally find it and it's not compatible yet :goobert:

The only mod that i KNOW conflicts with orchid is the ARPG mod, other should be fine, albeit you will find balance issues
Orchid is intended to be played with thorium, so this will be fine
