The class will be receiving quite a few new items in the next update, alongside a general buff to its early game items, that are too weak compared to vanilla classes
Hopefully that'll help with the OOA

I've just finished an all boss and event boss run with the guardian class in expert, took me 23 hours and about 51 minutes were spent looking at the "You were slain" screen.

The class doesn't work too well against T1 old one's army with the gear at that stage of the game, and on the topic of old one's army I do wish it had some content, I would love to use the ogre's club as a warhammer. But it was really fun to play as once I figured out how it worked. High quality class.

what's hapening with the shapeshifter? could have real potential, and the arctic fox is broken, 3 second cooldown for 2 seconds of invinceability, broken

I am not a fan of convoluted crafting trees, especially when it implies making some of the weapons in them irrelevant
For instance, when making the night edge, one of the 4 weapons never get used, as it is immediately upgraded
this is even worse with the Terra Blade, though it recently got some bandaid fixes to its recipe to help with this issue

This being said, if you're looking for a Night's Edge pavise, Styx is from the same item set; sharing a palette and theme with the Dark Lance and Demon Scythe

As for crafting trees, I'll be trying to make more of then, because upgrading your items is fun, but I'm trying to lean more into "Sky Fracture" type of upgrades, where the required items are obtained later in the game, and no weapon becomes useless

@ЯUSSIAN PANK Guardian was made into its own class specifically so it can't use melee accessories, weapons are armor, as it would compltely invalidate the resource management aspect of the class

@𝖉𝖊𝖛𝖔𝖗𝖆𝖉𝖔 Pillars are a lot of work, and very intrusive "mod-compatibility" wise
It's been discussed in the past (dealing damage to the lunatic cultist with a specific class has its pillar replacing an existing one, placing additional pillars in the sky, ...), but there isn't really a good solution, and in the end, simply adding our fragments to existing pillars is easier, simpler, and probably better :(

God all of the classes in this mod are so interesting and I really wanna see what you do with all of them in Hardmode. Genuinely, this is one of the mods that I think gets adding additional classes actually fully Right, and on top of the reworks you've been giving to melee weapon classes I'm Very excited to see where you take things.

Just a question, because this is something I noticed whilst using the dragonlens mod. I do not seem to have a way to access/craft/find shaman weaponry/armour/accessories. Is this intentional?

Hey a small suggestion for the starry owl idol. It can be a bit awkward when flying around to only be able to get over enemies using the space bar function. Could you add a sort of jump where when you tap the space bar you'll get a small burst of height and when you hold the space bar it does the hover attack.

We're aware that early game guardian is too hard at the time being, and a lot of weapons (most notably warhammers) have been drasticcally buffed, and made easier to obtain
- alongside new options such as cactus gauntlets, since more item variety should help with streamlining the user experience aswell

We've also been working on a new item subclass - Quarterstaves, which are somewhere between Gauntlets and Warhammers, but unlike any other items available to guardian

Regarding Thorium endgame, we will balance it accordingly. I know Tyr's hand is too strong for instance, but it's nothing some number tuning cannot address

Having just beaten the mod, did some quick plantera kills, and I did end up getting it. Guess I was just unlucky, oops.
Also, since I finished my Guardian, I want to say, great class! I loved getting up close and tanking through hits and projectiles with the Blocks and Parries. My main complaint would be that early game is ROUGH, little range and being resource reliant left me feeling defenseless in the beginning. Warhammers help, but the charge-up for what's essentially a boomerang still had me feeling sluggish at first. When you get geared up though, it's a blast.
Only other complaint is that, since this is going to get Thorium-integration, the current end-game gear might shred Primordials too easily? Moon Rune shreds with contact damage. Though it's been a while since I played Thorium so I don't know how easily the other classes deal with it.
Overall, loved it! Can't wait for more Guardian items to be added, and I look forward to trying the other classes when they get finished!

Petal pennant should be obtainable from plantera, I just got it normally from expert (bag) and classic (boss)

Is the Petal Pennant supposed to not drop? I saw that the recipe browser mod doesn't list it as a drop for Plantera, but just incase it was only an error for that, I fought her multiple times, up to 12? times, and she hasn't dropped it once. I may just be unlucky but I thought I'd check just incase.
