Hello everyone,

since the major update still needs some time, I have started preparing an interim update with many bug fixes and new features. I will provide you with a list of all the contents of the update in the coming weeks. As always, this will be made available for all our mods.

Have fun!

Hi tomato33 (HUN),

thanks for feedback. Actually we are not working or planning on sound effects. Our to-do-list is sooo long! :D
tomato33 (HUN) Sep 15 @ 12:50am
Keep up the good work, the 90's are my favourite (1995 and 1996 the most). Is it possible to modify engine sounds in the mod for V10 F1? Are you planning that?
Maerker  [author] Sep 2 @ 11:02am
Hi asapas,

i'm glad you enjoy our mod.
Track names are correct, but track layouts are unfortunately fictional ones from the Vanilla game.
asapas Sep 2 @ 8:39am
you have done an AMAZING job!!!
one question, are the tracks real? I mean those that drivers raced in each of those years???
Maerker  [author] Jul 11 @ 11:31am
Hi ThaRealHansMan,

still working on the major update. And stil making good progress. I started a weekly dev report on or progress so everybody good grab the new he needs. You will find that on DC.

Have fun!
ThaRealHansMan Jul 11 @ 6:41am
Any new news?
Maerker  [author] Jun 22 @ 2:03pm
Hi Leo_Major,

at the moment teams do not change their names, unless this is already implemented as an event (e.g. if you play in 1996 Prost or Footwork). If you start in another year in which the event did not take place, there will be no name change.
Whether we will be able to implement the possibility of teams changing their names or even their existence in all years at some point is something I have to leave open at the moment. This depends, among other things, on whether we manage to get a 13th team up and running.
Leo_Major Jun 22 @ 1:47pm
Great mod. Sorry if this was already asked, I played 4-5 seasons with the 1995 and then with the 1996 start. In each playthrough, teams never changed name or folded out Simtek and Forti are still alive in 1998 and forti was still there in 2000 with the 1996 start. Is that working as intended ? Should I expect at some point team to change name and become steward racing at some point and etc ? I like if it's a random event, just wondering if it can happen. Thank you
Maerker  [author] Jun 9 @ 11:00am
Hi fromero92,

you just need to repeat the steps you did when installing the mod the first time.

- go to the steam workshop folder of the mod
- change to extras
- copy the mm_data folder into Mototsport Manager folder, overwrite existing files
- done
fromero92 Jun 9 @ 8:12am
Hey Maerker, does the hot fix include a new MM_data folder? I'm not finding it
Maerker  [author] Jun 7 @ 3:19am
Hello everyone,

i just uploaded a hot fix that deals with a database issue, causing a crash when entering the pre season in 2006.

This bug had an impact on all running games. So please update the mod and you need to start a new career if you want to play further than 2006.

Have fun!
Maerker  [author] Jun 5 @ 3:21pm
Hi ThaRealHansMan,

my modding partner just returned from his trip. We will continue developing soon. :)
ThaRealHansMan Jun 5 @ 2:51pm
When are the summer update coming? hoping for Red Bull first season year!
Maerker  [author] May 13 @ 8:12am
Hi Sergey Popofikki,

do you have a save game for me? I would like to have a look at this "insane amount of retirements".
Serginja Popofikki May 12 @ 2:49pm
Ive switched to 2002 because the insane amount of retirements of 98 suck for a long time save, huge respect on the effort you guys put into this mod though!
Serginja Popofikki May 11 @ 6:25pm
1998 start date with tyrell and consistently only 12-10 finishers, might be something to check on. ill try a different start date for now
Maerker  [author] May 11 @ 11:32am
Hi Estevo C.,

please join the Discord. There are a lot of players you would like to help you. This is not the right place to discuss game mechanics, that are working correctly for almost four years. Besides, i do not know which year, team or season you are playing. :)
Estevo C. May 11 @ 9:43am
Can i then please know what am I doing wrong? The top teams do DNF more rarely, i have prioritized reliability, this year alone i've had 4/6 races both cars DNF and 3 of them extremely early in the race, most of the time it's mechanical issues, but also it doesn't make sense how many times these cars actually crash... If it's just "a thing that happens" and there's no way to fight against it it's just a bad design IMO. The rest of the mod just looks great in general
Maerker  [author] May 9 @ 1:59pm
Hi Estevo C.,

nothing to fix here. Retirement system works as intended. If you have exactly 12 per race it is just coincidence.
Estevo C. May 9 @ 10:26am
Every race there are exactly 12 retirements?? I can't do nothing to prevent it even if i try to maximize reliability?? Come on man, you gotta fix this to be more random instead of so consistently 12 retirements
Alf Pleistoceno May 5 @ 1:43pm
Thanks you Maerker.

Greetings.
Maerker  [author] May 5 @ 9:02am
Hi Alf Pleistoceno,

in this mod there is no Max Verstappen. He is not even born in 1995, so that would cause just problems.

In the scouting list there are only drivers that have achieved a drivers licence. So if generated driver have not achieved these, they will not appear until then. Also, they have to be at least 18 years old.
Alf Pleistoceno May 5 @ 4:22am
Hello, I am playing a career and now it is 2013 in my game. The youngest drivers like Max Verstappen, Sainz, Norris, etc. are included in the game?

In my career, the youngest drivers are Haryanto 19 years old and Gutierrez 21 years old, no regens or real drivers spawn in the game since years ago and i have fully upgraded scouting building.

Thanks for this amazing mod.
azairvine May 2 @ 4:19am
Thank you
Maerker  [author] May 1 @ 4:35am
Hi azairvine,

no, this is an F1 only mod.
azairvine May 1 @ 4:03am
This mod doesn't include Indycar?
Maerker  [author] Apr 22 @ 7:41am
Hi Khama,

thank you for the high praise!

Have fun! :)
Khama Apr 21 @ 5:24pm
Hi Maerker, amazing mod; very likely, in my opinion, actually this is the best motorsport manager's mod, really thank you.
Maerker  [author] Apr 21 @ 1:29am
Hi DeltingHammer13,

no, there are more important things to care for.
DeltingHammer13 Apr 20 @ 4:16pm
Out of interest is that feature coming soon?
DeltingHammer13 Apr 20 @ 4:09pm
That is okay i could not remember if they did or did not,
Maerker  [author] Apr 20 @ 12:32pm
Hi DeltingHammer13,

this feature is not implemented, yet.
DeltingHammer13 Apr 20 @ 11:55am
Hi Maerker

I am being a fool or shouldnt some of the teams update as you go through the save, i started in 1995 and Simtek is still kicking about and no Stewart or Prost?
Alf Pleistoceno Apr 15 @ 9:38am
Hi Maerker, thank you for the reply. Then It´s time to begin a new season game hehe.
Maerker  [author] Apr 15 @ 7:37am
HI Alf Pleistoceno,

yes, unfortunately you will have to start a new career. Changes to the database are usually not transferred to old save games.
Alf Pleistoceno Apr 14 @ 4:40pm
Hi Maerker, I started a game from the 1995 season in the July 2024 version of the mod and now and I am replaying the game and updated the mod to the latest version of April 2025.

In that 1995 game, Now I'm in 2002 and I don't see the new rules proposal like points rule (10,8,6,4,2,1 points) or driver aids.

do I need to start a new game to see the new rule changes that have been introduced since 0.44.13 mod version?

Sorry my bad english, and congrats for this awesome mod and a big salutation.
the_hdk Apr 3 @ 1:18pm
Nice!
Maerker  [author] Apr 3 @ 1:13pm
Hi the_hdk,

Audi engines are already implemented. When you start a Sauber career in 2025 (or one of the the years) you will have to take Audi engines in 2026.
the_hdk Apr 3 @ 1:06pm
Thank you for the reply.

sorry i missed rules thing in teh manual. I must have skipped that part. Please keep up the good work and I look forward to the events.

Will we get also one for Audi in modern mod? Or is that already in?
Maerker  [author] Apr 3 @ 8:03am
Hi ThaRealHansMan,

thanks a lot. Maybe we have a suprise for you in the coming summer. :)
Maerker  [author] Apr 3 @ 7:50am
Hi the_hdk,

rules will become available when the where implemented in F1 history. You will find an overview in the manual.

We have and will implement team events (like Footwork or Ligier 1996) where you can decide to change your team name like they did in those years. But as i said, these are special team events only for those teams. It is not a general feature.
the_hdk Apr 3 @ 2:03am
What do you mean change team name? how does that work? (is it also in the modern mod?)
the_hdk Apr 3 @ 2:00am
First, this is my favorite mod ever for MM.

Q: is it possible to get the rule to get points for first 10 drivers? or is it only possible from certain year? I could change to get the top 8 points.
ThaRealHansMan Apr 2 @ 3:25pm
I really hope in the future when you Maerker are happy with this database that i enjoy so much, played it since last year maybe! That 2005 season will come, Really want to build up Red Bull from Jaguar. Maybe in a special event or something. That would be awesome, you are doing a great work with this and the 2023-2025 mod mate!
Maerker  [author] Apr 2 @ 1:11pm
Hello everybody,

i just uploaded an update with the following changes:

- if you change your team name and logo throughout a team event you will now also get the correct chassis logo
- updated HQs for all seasons
- drivers will have significantly fewer accidents if the "driver aids allowed" rule is active
- added a new rule that reduces the crash chance massively when active (advanced driver aids allowed)
- teams no longer have to run on the set of tyres from Q2 if they have made it into Q3
- at the start of a new career, the chief designer will send an email with the most important information about car design
- fixed a bug that made AI teams built an enormous amount of equal parts and wasting a lot of money
- added a lot of sponsors for 2003 until 2025

Please update your MM_Data folder as usual.

We are still working hard on our contract negotiations update and hope to release it in the coming weeks.

Have fun!
Maerker  [author] Mar 22 @ 12:19am
