since the major update still needs some time, I have started preparing an interim update with many bug fixes and new features. I will provide you with a list of all the contents of the update in the coming weeks. As always, this will be made available for all our mods.
Have fun!
thanks for feedback. Actually we are not working or planning on sound effects. Our to-do-list is sooo long! :D
i'm glad you enjoy our mod.
Track names are correct, but track layouts are unfortunately fictional ones from the Vanilla game.
one question, are the tracks real? I mean those that drivers raced in each of those years???
still working on the major update. And stil making good progress. I started a weekly dev report on or progress so everybody good grab the new he needs. You will find that on DC.
Have fun!
at the moment teams do not change their names, unless this is already implemented as an event (e.g. if you play in 1996 Prost or Footwork). If you start in another year in which the event did not take place, there will be no name change.
Whether we will be able to implement the possibility of teams changing their names or even their existence in all years at some point is something I have to leave open at the moment. This depends, among other things, on whether we manage to get a 13th team up and running.
you just need to repeat the steps you did when installing the mod the first time.
- go to the steam workshop folder of the mod
- change to extras
- copy the mm_data folder into Mototsport Manager folder, overwrite existing files
- done
i just uploaded a hot fix that deals with a database issue, causing a crash when entering the pre season in 2006.
This bug had an impact on all running games. So please update the mod and you need to start a new career if you want to play further than 2006.
Have fun!
my modding partner just returned from his trip. We will continue developing soon. :)
do you have a save game for me? I would like to have a look at this "insane amount of retirements".
please check: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1998_Formula_One_World_Championship#World_Drivers'_Championship_standings
please join the Discord. There are a lot of players you would like to help you. This is not the right place to discuss game mechanics, that are working correctly for almost four years. Besides, i do not know which year, team or season you are playing. :)
nothing to fix here. Retirement system works as intended. If you have exactly 12 per race it is just coincidence.
Greetings.
in this mod there is no Max Verstappen. He is not even born in 1995, so that would cause just problems.
In the scouting list there are only drivers that have achieved a drivers licence. So if generated driver have not achieved these, they will not appear until then. Also, they have to be at least 18 years old.
In my career, the youngest drivers are Haryanto 19 years old and Gutierrez 21 years old, no regens or real drivers spawn in the game since years ago and i have fully upgraded scouting building.
Thanks for this amazing mod.
no, this is an F1 only mod.
thank you for the high praise!
Have fun! :)
no, there are more important things to care for.
this feature is not implemented, yet.
I am being a fool or shouldnt some of the teams update as you go through the save, i started in 1995 and Simtek is still kicking about and no Stewart or Prost?
yes, unfortunately you will have to start a new career. Changes to the database are usually not transferred to old save games.
In that 1995 game, Now I'm in 2002 and I don't see the new rules proposal like points rule (10,8,6,4,2,1 points) or driver aids.
do I need to start a new game to see the new rule changes that have been introduced since 0.44.13 mod version?
Sorry my bad english, and congrats for this awesome mod and a big salutation.
Audi engines are already implemented. When you start a Sauber career in 2025 (or one of the the years) you will have to take Audi engines in 2026.
sorry i missed rules thing in teh manual. I must have skipped that part. Please keep up the good work and I look forward to the events.
Will we get also one for Audi in modern mod? Or is that already in?
thanks a lot. Maybe we have a suprise for you in the coming summer. :)
rules will become available when the where implemented in F1 history. You will find an overview in the manual.
We have and will implement team events (like Footwork or Ligier 1996) where you can decide to change your team name like they did in those years. But as i said, these are special team events only for those teams. It is not a general feature.
Q: is it possible to get the rule to get points for first 10 drivers? or is it only possible from certain year? I could change to get the top 8 points.
i just uploaded an update with the following changes:
- if you change your team name and logo throughout a team event you will now also get the correct chassis logo
- updated HQs for all seasons
- drivers will have significantly fewer accidents if the "driver aids allowed" rule is active
- added a new rule that reduces the crash chance massively when active (advanced driver aids allowed)
- teams no longer have to run on the set of tyres from Q2 if they have made it into Q3
- at the start of a new career, the chief designer will send an email with the most important information about car design
- fixed a bug that made AI teams built an enormous amount of equal parts and wasting a lot of money
- added a lot of sponsors for 2003 until 2025
Please update your MM_Data folder as usual.
We are still working hard on our contract negotiations update and hope to release it in the coming weeks.
Have fun!
so first of all, welcome back. :)
It's great to hear you still enjoy the game and the mod. If you like to chat about it deeper please join the Discord as i want to keep the steam workshop clear and not having long conversations here.
Feel free to join.
