That's what it was. If you go one tiny grind over the hack line, it will pop the blueprint. Switching to a lowest tier grinder helps a lot. Disregard all my posts and sorry to bother.

i sincerely appreciate your detailed response and fighting the text limit constraints :)

I didn't explain it very well I suspect and I apologize for that. The BP is there on hover, but the minute the grinding hits the hack line, the BP shows 0/1. One of my players pointed out that all of us (there are only 5) are using mid or high tier hand grinders and maybe we are just over zealous in our grinding. I'll spawn a wreck in later and see if it was the grinding being too powerful all along. We are running awwscrap, but I edited one of the support files to make the BP's show up in economy stations with a very high price, so either you salvage your equipment or pay a premium for the BP by doing lots of missions.

If you get bored and want to see your mod in a live environment, search for the PVEPlands server (map salvageonlynocombat) and hop on.

Dam text limit! Part 2

So subscribe to the gyroscope on steam then you will be able to add it to your game and place it at the very top of the mods list. Hopefully that fixes it.

If it has the same issue, then another mod is likely overriding it via scripts.
To test that, try this mod in a new game with no other mods. If it works then another mods interfering and there not much I can do. If it’s still broken, then steam likely failed to download it correctly (happens way to much) and you will have to force it to re-download.

Or you could just play it the other way. Take ownership and move it with a magplate, to your own grid. =D
For that I recommend the weld pads mod thing! Advanced Welding . Ctrl + grind will detach an item from a grid, and then you can add a weld pad to it and your grid and they will lock together. It’s very nicely done :)

Dam text limit! Part 1

Normally this is down to another mod.

If the component is not shown in the item when the grinder hovers over it, then another mod has very likely modified the item.
If the component is shown and you don’t get it when you grind it, then there may be another ‘scripted mod’ that changes what items you get from the gyro.

Example: AwwScrap should destroy the components for all these items (intended), other mods have been known to make certain things drop reduced component and the new component might not be on their list.

Mods often make silly changes without telling people, this including some AI mods..

The first thing to try is to move the item from this mod, to the top of your mods list.
As you have scavenger hunt the gyro probably won’t show in the mod list for your game (it gets downloaded automatically). So…

Sorry, we are running the scavenger hunt version

Myself nor none of my players have ever been able to successfully salvage a gyro using vanilla grind to hack and weld up mechanics. Every time we grind it to the hack line, it pops the blueprint. Wanted to get feedback in case we are doing something wrong.

Funny thing is I have the opposite of too many, and wanted to see if there was an option to add that would allow me to buy from vendors or find in those special containers.

Uhhh… would that not defeat the point of having uncreatable components? =D
Its super modular for a reason :) If you know a block won’t appear in your game, then probably not make that imposable to create if you need it. =)

I use all blueprints in the game. It is very interesting to find the right blocks.
At the beginning of the game it is very difficult, and sometimes impossible, to find blueprints for the main base blocks. A dead end in survival.
Maybe the basic blueprints (wind turbine, solar panels, basic assembler, basic refinery...) allowed to craft in a survival kit or assembler? With a very very long build time. Something like for 5-10 hours.

I guess with how SE is, ending up with a bunch of them is inevitable at some point. =)
Curious how much of what you managed to collect, someone else suggested trade as an option to so I’m working on an optional patch.

With AwwScrap, the game turns into a challenge.

A little easier without AwwScrap, but still interesting. Over time, a large number of unnecessary blueprints are collected. Need to get merchants to buy them.:steamhappy:
