@Alan Harper vhs tapes that give a skill boost (acting exactly like skill books do) are planned to come along with that update (alongside an overall nerf to xp gain to compensate)
@Pifilix.SVK all skill books are intended to have exactly the same rarity, if the aiming books really aren't spawning that may be a bug - make sure you have the sandbox option for gun books enabled
-Safe Mode removed
-Fixed distribution sandbox options not applying in most situations
-Removed dependency on Item Tweaker and Profession Framework
-Fixed Literacy level not rendering in character creation.
-Fixed some (harmless) warnings on the server about unknown traits
-General performance improvements.
-Replaced any globals created by this mod with modules. If your mod hooks into this one it may need to be updated for compatibility. I don't think any mods are actually affected though.
- May help with issues with the literacy magazine not removing the illiterate trait.
@Milenier/TTV #fixtf2 there is an issue with spawning generally, in most cases your settings are ignored - i was waiting for the mod's next major update to release the fix, but given that that's been waiting for around two years now, i may just cobble together some misc fixes into a small update soon and wait until after b42 releases for the actual content update
I had the same issue and that fixed it. You'll need to create a new character if you've already red the magazine though.
Got all the books checked to spawn, however they had only spawned in the spawn area (that being muldraugh trailer park). in that save file I have looted 6 major book spawn areas only to find maintenance (only weapons book) and agility books to spawn (other then base books).
the places I checked and found none of the books as per mentioned above: Muldraugh bookstore, Muldraugh School, Rosewood Bookstore, Westpoint book store, Westpoint mail office, Westpoint school.
could there be an issue on how the game decides which books to spawn and where?

Wondering if either or both of these are conflicting with this mod. Any ideas?
@Mustang no, but this has been implemented for the next update
I restarted a run without cat's move while reading, though I did ad an alternative. Perhaps it doesn't work with dynamic traits?
It could give the opposite effect of Poor Reader, and give a +10% boost to the skill book boost multiplier.
(For example, that would turn a 3x boost from a Rank 1 book into 3.3x, and would turn a 16x boost from a Rank 5 book into 17.6x.)
It could cost 2 points, or more depending upon your balance vision, and I think should only be acquirable at character creation, but not at any point after.
I think it could be an interesting flip side to the Poor Reader trait, but I'm not sure whether it's within your balancing vision or not, so no worries if not!
The mod linked below reworks Fast / Slow Reader to each hold a cost of 1 (+/-) rather than the default 2.
The conflict between these mods is that the two traits take on the cost of 1 from the mod below, but otherwise still seem to interact with the literacy skill as intended in increasing / decreasing the initial skill level in Literacy, based upon having either of those traits.

One way I can think of to work around this could be to make it that, instead of controlling skill books spawns via sandbox settings, control it by having each category of skill book in a separate sub-mod, and then we could enable the sub-mods for the skill book categories we want.
This mod is unfortunately not being updated, so check out for mods incompatibility. If you have any other book or reading mods, there might be a problem right there.
