I see a lot of reasonable comments about MBTI, but we shouldn't forget the fact that Myers-Briggs is based on Jung's theories. (I'm not saying his theory is flawless, I'm saying he has an authority in term of psychology.) There is a lot of meaningful psychological researches that are also based on Myers-Briggs by divers organizations. I truly understand that dividing our personalities in 16 types could sound ridiculous, but those 16 types are just a number. It also contains systematic explanations of how it can change organically depending on each situation and mental status. The number of 16 is not the matter. They are just major category like how we divide human races for example.
Psychometric tests (and other research tools) are evaluated on validity and reliability. 16P scores high in first and low in second. Enneagram scores low in either. Serious research demands both high, so neither test is good enough to be called "scientific", but one even less than another.
Now, truly just curious, what is thatspring-like thing in that picture?
no idea why, but that's the main question i have at the moment, lol...
8 Challenger -> ESTP
8 Protector -> ENTJ
8 Nonconformist -> ENTP
8 Diplomat -> ESTJ
Just like a snail is "bigger" than bacteria, while still not "big", one of these tests is "more scientific".
16P has a documented history of studies, starting from no other but Jung, through Myers-Briggs to Center for Application of Psychological Type and independents. They have a proper bibliography, so you can track it and review by yourself if authors and institutions that publish them are reputable.
Enneagram started in spiritualism, the literal opposite of science. Different enneagram centers present mostly views from person/people who manage them. Bibliography, if present, contains mostly books and articles written by said person, rarely studies.
TLDR: If it was a scientific race, neither of those is in good physical condition, but 16P at least has shoes on.
Sorry for late reply, I had a lot on my plate lately. I keep only top 4 16P types per Enneagram type to manage them easily. ENTP is 5th in type 3, so originaly it didn't make it by mere 1% of the difference. But by coincidence I made a mistake putting ESFP there and since I already had to correct it, I allowed usage of 5th place instead of 4th. It won't make its way into type 8 though.
@Cutiegorgon
You're not a party pooper ^^' Ialready said it here, but maybe I should move it also to mod description:
b
bruh
@Setvin
I don't know what yours thinks, but mine says you'll be fine if you read also description for 1-2-3 Personalities, which this mod patches.
@Atmey
Powers are from Vanilla Factions Expanded - Ancients.
Worldview tab is used by Personalities M3 to store information about pawn's views on important topics and social circles. 1-2-3 Politics will also put the political views there. It can be activated even in Personalities M1 to move there personality description from Bio.
no
Yeah, they can hit right in the feels ;) If you're diagnosed correctly, their advice for your type can be a useful tool to change some things.
@Ross
Glad to hear that! Next week-two I'll drop the outline for 1-2-3 Politics if you're interested. 1-2-3 Religions need a thorough redesign though, now that we have Ideology.
i got curious by your "16 Personalities" and googled them, found a site, made a selftest and read the result, and it was so accurate that i actually had fucking tears running down my eyes. from reading a summary. what the hell man
Ach, fellow INFP. Stay strong!
I agree to a degree. Psychometric tests (and other research tools) are evaluated on validity and reliability. 16P scores high in first and low in second. Enneagram scores low in either. Serious research demands both high, so neither test is good enough to be called "scientific", but one even less than another.

Good job on the mod though, I'm sure people will enjoy it!
Love the rarity of the types though.
