So with all the talk of the dev teams having scattered to THE VOID (which certainly explains why I failed to establish communications with their representatives - I certainly tried Twitter and Discord at the very least), well, there's no hope for updating those missing content paths, much less finishing the Millennium edition of their WW3 game. Just saying, I'm disappointed, because it's all otherwise a masterpiece - but those disappointments make it fall short.

That's ADORABLE, you got that whole Windows 95 aesthetic.

Anyway, that aside, I played through the ORIGINAL New Order mod (at least the latest update version as of me writing this), and I had a couple major disappointments. First, it's impossible to stabilize Central Africa, even with unlimited resources, because no matter how "ideal" all those logistics or troops are, the game just jumps right to the worst-case "disaster" scenario. Second, WW3 crashes the game, both with and without nukes, specifically by making the game freeze and require a forced termination. And there's no telling what other areas are also "barren" or "missing" not by design but because of the comprehensive scale of the project likely resulting in the handful of guys figuratively biting off more than they can chew.

The mod is dead because the creator disappeared, and the development team disintegrated or left for other mods, and after all, TNO will release its part 2 which would be at the beginning of the millennium, so maybe for that reason and to avoid problems with TNO, it stayed as is, although if you want a TNO 2 that is cooking really well and maybe you will see something soon is TRO, the red order, an alternate cold war in the world of TNO, where the allies do win over the nazis in other ways, but similar to our reality where the eastern bloc is divided between communist China and the USSR, in this reality it is the West that is divided between the young liberal democracies led by the USA, and the old conservative and colonial European governments led by France and the United Kingdom, making the common front against communism never exist, and the USSR did not support so unconsciously communist China, which only controls Manchuria and nationalist China does receive the support of the USA.

@AverageLigurian Not true, the dev team has expanded and on the TNO subreddit they have shown very good progress, mods of this scale take a bit even with an expanded team. Be patient, it will come.
