i will make sure to look towards the first jump when i give it a second pass at one point :) but for now i am a 100% back on Rainbow Road
Criticism/Suggestions:
- Needs to have Wings disabled. Wings make it too easy.
- The first two jumps feel a bit too luck-dependent. Especially the first one where you have to land between the 3 vertical, stationary lasers. It's really hard to see the 3 lasers in the distance and aim the jump at high speed so it's more or less luck if you get one side of your vehicle cut off or not. It's good that this is at the start of the level, because at the end it would be even more frustrating. But this is definitely the point in the level that made me die/reset the most.
Overall:
4.5/5 (0.5 points deduction because you almost made me punch my monitor)
I enjoyed playing the level (when I wasn't swearing loudly). Please make more like this. :-)
Diffculty Level: RAAAAAGGEEE! ;-)
So, after playing this level for the last 30 minutes just trying to somehow get the main path done (I haven't tried the blue side path yet), here are my thoughts :
What I liked:
- Level design: Looks great, unique style, very entertaining. I took my time flying around and taking in the view.
- Short track, similar to Purple Flave, so if I die, it's not too bad
- Difficulty: Really, really hard. Took me a while to get to the end without using the wings. I like it!
- Overheat management is hard, but with well placed rolls it's possible to boost through the entirety of the main path. Great job fine-tuning that!
