@foreskin stealer, Did you go through the Northriver quest line? Who did you choose in the end? What is your reputation with the fraction?

7.50 unmodded, playing as terran cadet start, all DLC owned. I can confirm that the Astrid is buyable from Vigor wharf, I even bought the blueprints from Vigor faction representative.

2024 7.0 here...Astrid is still buyable for me at the VIG wharf without any mods that would affect her. Dunno why and I honestly don't even care as long as I can field a couple of those :D And yes she has all her unique towers and engines so if it's a bug, I really hope they keep it in for much much longer.

You can't buy an Astrid unless part of the plot you go with a certain choice and then you can buy one. Normally, you can never buy an Astrid and the Vigor wharf doesn't even have M ships for sale.

Well, if people claim they bought the Astrid, perhaps this was a bug and has been fixed, or its a bug only appearing in a certain start. If you can buy it, without mods or anything might be worth thinking about what makes it possible for you insteat of just claiming it is possible.
As a matter of fact, i could not buy it before the missions, could not buy it after them, even could not build it after reverse engineering it with another mod, so yeah i scrapped one for nothing... or, FOR SCIENCE... lol

I bought it with no game mods right when TOA released. Matter of fact, I bought two of them.

if this mod is removed do the ships that were built after get removed, or are they same as the original astrids?

without this mod the ship was not buyable for me, not sure why others had option to buy it, theres not even an option to select medium ships at the warf.

i confirm that the Astrid is buyable from the VIG whard even if i DID NOT do the twins quests yet. confusing since i thought you can only get it from the story quest or so...

The Astrid has a unique set of equipment, you can't fit her with the regular stuff.

What thrusters can the Astrid use?
I bought mk 3 of all available thrusters combat, all around, but I am unable to use them when I try to build them at my shipyard, so I am not sure if there is a special Astrid only thruster that they won't sell me. Yes I have the blueprints to build my own but I am not in the best of terms with the Vigor Syndicate just yet to buy them at the wharf to see what Iam missing that way.

To anyone looking to get the Astrid without using the mod:

You can either buy it by siding with the twins in the Tide Of Averice plot where you have to complete it then you can buy it either from the wharf or from the twins themselves (flying around in the new sectors)
Or
Work against the twins and then get a mission to for the pilot to eject out by damaging the hull. (This is probs quicker and cheaper). Have to leave Leap of Faith to get he mission though.

You cannot get it any other way in vanilla X4 and does requite the TOA DLC

Yup. You can buy the Astrid (beautiful ship) at any time. Mod is not needed.

Pretty sure this mod is not needed. I purchased one from VIG without it, though I guess it's possible some other mod might have made it possible.

I thought it was supposed to be unique as well. It shows up as purchasable from the VIG wharf while I have -5 rep with them. It wasn't there at first but showed up some time after the teladi merchant missions.

That should not be possible @Austism, VIG owns the blueprints for Astrid and no one else.

Same as below, but at the VIG Wharf and buyable with no rep. It showed up after a few hours, I checked after finishing the first teladi trade mission. Got super confused.

I've bought an Astrid from the MIN Teladi(?)* without this MOD.
You just have to have a high enough reputation with them.

Does this require a new start? If not, It is not working.
