Yes. This mod is mainly just a couple decisions and ship-creation code, the latter of which has mostly stayed unchanged since man the guns.

The mod is primarily meant to get the AI going, but I've made it so the player may benifit from the first two steps of the decision. As in, at most, you will get the very basics of ship tech.

Some codes don't have "=". (at least, "Chaser Class", "Pawn Class A"nearline:1133)
Maybe, they dont "create_equipment_variant".

@Mike thanks! I think I have a player specific cheat mod, but I don't remember it was for Vanilla+MtG or frigate's content pack. It's pretty cheat-oriented, but you *can* just only pick the weaker lootboxes

@Barry - Thank you. I have played around with the mod and I have enjoyed it. It sadly doesn ot seem to do anything for the player, but I have gotten around that by tag switching to a landlocked country to run the script, and then returning to my original nation.
Very fun so far. Thank you!

I like the variety of ship designs and classes you have come up with!

It will give the AI naval tech. You can't create ships with stuff on it if you don't have the techs, so the AI will get techs based on numbers of shipyards it has.

This will spawn capital ships, yes.

The AI will basically get one-use "loot box" decisions. Most nations will not get a big fleet, but the nations starting with 17+ dockyards get pretty strong stuff.

I don't remember if the player gets anything. I've mostly only worked on the frigate's content pack version where the player does get a couple techs, but not sure if that's the same for this version.

Very keen to try this out, thank you! Can you give a little more detail on what the different decisions the AI takes may lead to?

Will this spawn capital ships?

Is it influenced by the random navy techs that the AI may start with at all?

Does the player get anything?

@der meister. Since the new naval updates to frigate's content pack, this mod is no longer compatible with it. Thankfully, I have made a compatible version that fixes this. It's in the mod description.

i always play rcp with frigate's content pack and lately due to frigate's naval updates, ai literally stopped producing naval units. thank you.

@finfinfin440 in short, you're kind of stripped for options. If the AI doesn't want to build big ships, you have to spawn ships in for them, which, you can't do outright from commands. This means you'll either have to switch to other countries via commands and *manually* tinker with their ship production queue, or make a mod that does it for you.

I don't fully know the reasons as to why, and what I have found out mostly comes from the discussions section or comments sections under other mods: It seems the devs hard-coded the AI into making tons of screens instead of capital ships to counter player strategies at the time. This didn't work, and now we're stuck with a bad naval AI. In truth, if there was an easy fix for the naval AI, it would probably have been done already, heh. You could see this mod as my own attempt to "fix" the problem, in a way.

This is great! Could you also do something about the AI and airfields? I've noticed that they will almost never build new ones on their own which means large air wars only happen in certain parts of the world with large prebuilt airfields. The AI often has thousands of planes it wasted production on and never deployed.

@Paradox I actually haven't tested if it works with MtGE, but, after looking through their description again, I am positive it might just work. No research has been altered, and if there haven't been any changes made to the vanilla ship design module slots, it's most likely completely compatible.
