Yes, the level itself is really easy to cheat (By just driving up the building) so the whole thing is more of just a different set of challenges.
The specific challenge in this level was refreshing your boost/managing your boost without excessive checkpoints as refreshers.

Man some of the sections are really difficult to boost all the way through, it's not easy to just roll through but extremely hard to master. I really like the down sloping outside turn bit, where you can just jump off.
