just so you know: on linux, the "common" folder's name needs to be all lowercase for the mod to show up in b42

Is auto enable on spawn works for someone?
Surgeol Jun 27, 2022 @ 1:29am
I love this mod:steamthumbsup:

Nice

I made the same update to the trait version of this mod "Relentless Scavenger Trait", for those itnerested.
Champy  [author] Jun 10, 2022 @ 2:34pm
@Sohrin ok I updated it and removed the check every ten minutes. Now it auto enables automatically only once (on spawn), and additionnally, being in a vehicle doesn't disable search mode anymore.
Sohriin Jun 10, 2022 @ 1:39pm
it's a shame really like the mod before it forced the ten minute reactivation thing, you should really put that as a config option or remove it, as it cause a lot of lag in player base with trolley, workbench, and every super heavy stuff laying on the ground. Also make it very hard to see with the bunch of foraging arrow everywhere.
Stellar Harbour May 21, 2022 @ 10:07pm
Is there a way to on it on game start or always on?
LyraLux Mar 15, 2022 @ 9:58am
@Champygnakx Ty! I tested it out last night anyway and it does. I think I was ready to lose my save if it didn't haha!
Champy  [author] Mar 15, 2022 @ 8:25am
@KrispyPixel yes, it should work on your current save.
LyraLux Mar 14, 2022 @ 5:29pm
What I don't get about current foraging is how come stones are "rare" in forest areas. Has no one at TIS ever actually lived in a rural area? There's a forested area right behind my backyard and twigs, branches and rocks are incredibly easy to find just by watching your feet to make sure you don't come across snakes. We've got a lot of snakes out here...

Anyway, I'll give this a try. Is it current-save compatible? Or would I need to start a new one?
Champy  [author] Feb 3, 2022 @ 3:33am
@Neznajka That's a good idea. I will look into it, but no promises
Poltergeist Feb 3, 2022 @ 1:50am
This mod is really useful! Is it possible to make it activate search mode again after exiting vehicle?
LambVORTEX Jan 16, 2022 @ 12:17am
Honestly, this is better than trait version.
It feels like an odd mixture of old and new foraging, where you can forage all day long without suffering any vision impairing effects (Wow, really cool TIS) or any other horrendous effects.

I might switch over to this than the trait version. Well made mod by the way. :spiffo:

they need to change the loot nodes in foraging, it's just that simple. Right now at 3-4 skill you can't find twigs in the wilderness while at lvl 0 you randomly find grasshoppers on a tuft of grass in the middle of a road.
Champy  [author] Jan 10, 2022 @ 3:22am
@monke I already made the trait version of this mode, it just has a different name. Here
monke Jan 9, 2022 @ 2:41pm
@DarkSlayerEX yah a trait like that would be pretty useful, id say -8 or 10
DarkSlayerEX Jan 7, 2022 @ 12:09pm
Trait name:
"Observant"
"You are able to focus on searching for foragables while maintaining focus of your surroundings"
femma Jan 5, 2022 @ 3:15pm
trait is good idea
Champy  [author] Jan 5, 2022 @ 1:56pm
@Tchernobill Ahah! I know Sherlock is good at scanning people, but I don't know if he's good at scanning the ground for food and materials? I'm not sure it fits
Tchernobill Jan 5, 2022 @ 1:49pm
"Sherlock Holmes" ? With a detailed explanation to compensate the the figurative name ?
Champy  [author] Jan 5, 2022 @ 1:45pm
@Tchernobill That's a good idea. What would it be called ? Something like "Fast Forager" or "Fearless Scavenger" or something like that?
Tchernobill Jan 5, 2022 @ 12:25pm
This could be a 8 points trait !
