@maledin Hello! In the process of updating CMT to 1.4 and wanting to fix the prop bug I stumpled on this mod and saw it needed updating as well. I rebuilt it and combined it with a few others for 1.4. If you have any issues please let me know and I'll do my best to remedy them. Thank you!

I figured it might be a good idea to cross-post this because i think it is a new bug, potentially related to this submod patch. I have included two logs from two different saves with slightly different mod load order. Did you get any errors in your log or anything? Are you running the actual Comigo's Majestic Trees mod? I need more details.

Are you asking me to disable the transparency on the real trees or enable it on the prop trees? Because if it's the latter, I haven't quite figured out how to make it work right yet, but I haven't looked at it in a while. If it's the former, you should go to Comigo himself and ask if he'll put in an option to allow that.

(Side note: I may eventually add support for other random (vanilla/DLC) plant props that VFE is missing, like anima grass and the like. That's more of a long-term reach goal though, only if there's enough demand for it.)

As long as there are no bugs associated with this update, this'll probably be my last update until I figure out the whole transparency thing, after which the mod will be officially "complete."

Please let me know if there are any other requests. Do keep in mind that I'm limiting content to what's in Comigo's mod though, of which I only have transparency left to implement.

Another day, another update!

Added all the remaining Majestic tree models as new tree props with a couple of new research projects to unlock them under the VFE - Props & Decor tab.

Be forewarned, the only trees enabled in an otherwise unmodded game are the leafless variations of the vanilla trees. You'll still need to have the proper DLCs/mods to be able to access the associated prop trees (read bottom of description/changelog for full details).

@Sixdd I didn't even know about that bug, so it's interesting to know that my patch somehow fixed it! No idea how , of course, but I'll take it haha

I may as well advertise that this fixes that bug if it helps some people!

Thanks for the position fix, I'm sure it'll worth it in the end. Also I learned that if you use the props mod with Majestic Trees it causes Mint Menus research screen to bug out on the plant props research project, so you fixed another bug even if it isn't advertised :)

UPDATE NOTE: With this recent patch, your already-placed Majestic Props will move around a bit -- this is because I listened to feedback and made the bottom part of the trunk the "center" like normal trees, allowing you to line up all the different types (see updated screenshot).

I also added shadows and changed the altitude layer for the tree props so they look move like normal Majestic Trees. I still haven't worked out the transparency feature quite yet, but I'm close to figuring it out. Watch for it in the next patch!

Also added support for OwlChemist's wonderful Perspective: Buildings mod, allowing you to offset the props in eight directions and mirror them for a little more variety in appearance. It's not required to use this mod, but I definitely recommend it!

@Sixdd, yeah that was a consequence of using a different method to scale the trees that didn't scale like the rest (birch, oak, willow, bamboo). I'll try going in later and messing with their offset values so they look better though.

Is there any way you could line up the build spot with the base of the tree? If not it's no biggie, just a little ocd.

Also, let me know if there’s any interest for me to port over Comigo’s versions of the Alpha Biomes trees as VFE prop buildables as well.

Totally forgot about them while making this, but it shouldn’t be too much work to add them.

@Ledamit Glad someone else was able to find some use out of this! Lmk how it works for you, especially regarding the scaling/placement with oak, willow, birch, and bamboo trees (I wasn't able to get it perfect, but it's close). Would you rather all the trees be a little smaller or is using their max growth size better for this?

I hope to be able to implement the mouse-over transparency feature soon, but I can't make any promises. Hopefully Comigo will implement this fix into his patch soon though; I've no qualms about him using it and he certainly knows more about how to do transparency anyway!
