@T. Catfish Its not broken, at the time I just didnt know Gman model needed the hat as bodygroup in order for that ending to work correctly. I want to fix it at some point but Im much too busy with other projects to get motivation to fix old ones.

Idk if it got fixed but I remember it broke the hat ending

I have always had this question about half life alyx gman replacements, and its why his upper arms are tucked inward to his torso

@StitchyBOI Fair enough I guess. Gman appears in Blue Shift only once and from slight distance so I thought it was obvious HECUC wouldnt have replaced his model. Also just so you know I dont do mod compatibility patches for BMBS or other campaign mods.

I like this idea. A high-res, high detail guy in contrast to a relatively mid-res and mid-detail world and textures.

I found a possible solution to the shooting at GMan crash. After messing around with the new Amalgam Zenith GMan on the workshop, I noticed the head material has $nodecal "1" in the material parameters, and that stops the crash from happening in the few tests I've run

@FruitPunchy Thats nothing to do with the mods themselfs, either there is something wrong with your installation of the game or you are looking from the wrong folder. Make sure you are looking for the files from the same drive as where you have Black Mesa installed and in general from the right place, and if that doesnt help verify integrity of your gamefiles.

is it just me or are a lot of black mesa mods (including this one) aren't working? I tried the whole "look into the content folder after Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/ folder" and there's nothing there. I'm not sure if I'm missing a step or what because I already set up the custom folders and all that

I know this is probably too little too late, but shooting at Gman causes a game crash.

@Jesteroo All I can really say make sure you dont have other mods that affect Gman (Improved Choreography and its updated Gman animations is fine though, I use that one myself too)

@Jesteroo Make sure you actually subscribed to this mod, make sure you actually placed this mod in your custom folder or try putting it in your custom model, make sure you dont have any other mods that also affect Gmans model. One of those should do the trick, and if not then idk

@Alfeos No they are fine as they are. Black Mesa uses Source 1, not Source 2 like HLA so this model can never look as good as in HLA.

I am here to report that the Purple Hat, will not appear on the G-Man's head upon completion of the infamous achievement.

Needless to say, it still counted as completed.

@Jean Antoine Sinclair I dont know tbh, I never tried it. Considering there is version of the hat in the gamefiles which can be successfully bonewelded to Gmans head (even if it does cover his eyes), provided that is the one used in that ending part, then I would say yes it should work. Dont quote me on it though. If you decide to go for the achievement with this mod installed and it works correctly make sure to take some screenshots of it. I would be interested to putting them in the description.

I was... planning to undertake the endeavour of transporting the Purple Hat to the Endgame, but first, I wish to know if the hat will successfully appear upon the G-Man's head once the toil is done.
