Mod still works perfectly, thanks a lot!
maleficer311 Dec 31, 2024 @ 1:58pm
Thats a breath of fresh air. How annoying it is to be inside and still getting rained on.
💎 Andy 💎 Nov 12, 2024 @ 3:01pm
Does this still work?

I like the slick wet effect when outside in the game, but its raining inside my home, is this mods still working, and if not does anyone know one that does please.

Thanks so much for any help.
Kaiowas Aug 22, 2024 @ 3:07pm
This Mod is so good... funcom never fixed rain... its so boring, you can also not see raineffects when your character ist higher then 75%... its so boring. Guys like you really missed :(
FluxMaster  [author] Mar 5, 2023 @ 11:23am
This mod does indeed still work, I will update it.
Wyntr Witch 🎃 Feb 23, 2023 @ 12:43pm
Funcom's fix still rains in the house with slanted ceilings/stormglass etc... :steamfacepalm: I miss your mod. It worked soooo well. :heart_emo:
Murica Feb 18, 2023 @ 1:39am
Please update Funcom is so dumb yo :/
Kurie Jan 5, 2023 @ 11:04pm
Yup, it still rains indoors for me as well, as of Jan 5 2323. (The mod stops it from happening though) I tested it in flotsam and reinforced stone, as well as the turanian DLC and a modded structure. In all cases the visual effect of rain was still passing through the structure as though it was not there, and in all cases your mod stopped it. (I did not note whether or not the wet effect was applied or not, just the visual effect. )
Cpt Hayes Nov 5, 2022 @ 8:12pm
@FluxMaster No, they have not. Quite frankly your work was far more polished than the end result we officially got from Funcom. As stated before, they simply removed the wetness effect while doing nothing about the raindrops still going through the roof every now and then. Cant really describe it either, sometimes its a few drops here and there, sometimes its a drizzle, there's really no consistency to how anything breaks in this game.
FluxMaster  [author] Nov 5, 2022 @ 4:27pm
The rain issues in Conan still haven't been fixed?
Cpt Hayes Nov 2, 2022 @ 1:00pm
This mod really should be updated. Hilarious that Funcom somehow botched their "fix" for the rain when this mod did it better. Official "fix" removes wetness indoors, sure... but it also removes it from the outdoors as well. Oh, and it still rains inside. Its like instead of just literally copying this mod and putting it in the official code, they got one of the other mods that only removed the wetness visual effect and used that. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if that's what actually happened; boss says to just copy the files for the 'no rain indoors mod' and patch it in, and some menial can't tell which one they were referring to so he picked one at random.
Tahrias Sep 26, 2022 @ 12:56am
update please
KamiDOTexe May 6, 2022 @ 12:46pm
Rain still hasn't been stopped from appearing indoors. =\
Hammer Goblin Feb 12, 2022 @ 7:45pm
In memory FUNCOM taking ages to fix a minor issue, that might have been brought on by their attempts to fix major issues.
FluxMaster  [author] Feb 12, 2022 @ 5:21pm
Funcom added rain occlusion to the base game. This mod is no longer needed. It is just here in memory.
Hanyo Feb 11, 2022 @ 1:22am
Trying to determine if this is still needed / works or whatnot?
Hammer Goblin Feb 9, 2022 @ 12:21am
Getting reports of rain getting in the house and what not.

thankyou hope you are well
Vieled_Umbra⛧™ Jan 8, 2022 @ 10:48pm
@FluxMaster can we use this still. Does not look like the fixed anything.

thank you
⚸ Lilitu ⚸ Dec 26, 2021 @ 12:37am
Okay, Thank you for the reply.
FluxMaster  [author] Dec 26, 2021 @ 12:26am
I will consider it if they don't sort it out for next update. I don't play so you will have to let me know.
⚸ Lilitu ⚸ Dec 21, 2021 @ 5:19am
If Funcom won't fix the visual bug in the next patch... Would you consider to update the mod?
⚸ Lilitu ⚸ Dec 20, 2021 @ 8:16pm
Funny that someone would have to create a mod, So the devs would be "pushed" to fix their damn game... :steamlaughcry: Anyway thanks for your mod, it was great!
ifoolb Dec 18, 2021 @ 7:00pm
on the bright side, at least you don't need to spend time maintaining the mod anymore, as Funcom tends to break things with each update.
VARIANVS Dec 16, 2021 @ 7:26am
Great that it gets implemented, yet all credits to you modding friend! Dont get discouraged! Just be happy that we do not need another mod to be able to enjoy the game in future :)
Zaphod4th Dec 11, 2021 @ 3:22pm
Thank you for this mod. Seems that funcom is now only taking mods code and implemented as their own without giving credits. Shame.
Hanaji Dec 11, 2021 @ 11:27am
Thank you for making this mod. You really provided something that should have been in the game from the start. Thanks for making this and making Funcom address this issue!
ErynLyn Dec 11, 2021 @ 10:31am
Thank-you for creating this mod when the community needed it the most. Your Amazing!
Melekaiah Dec 11, 2021 @ 5:40am
fluxmaster. dont give up yet. your mod might very well be a much better alternative especially if you add extra features. i love your mod and id love to keep using it. cause im hearing quite a lot of issues with rain performance after latest patch.
Mephilis78 Dec 10, 2021 @ 4:03pm
I haven't noticed the fps problems. Must be one of the other things in the update. I wonder if those undead spawning things can cause fps problems.
石田ライロス Dec 10, 2021 @ 10:42am
And oh yea thanks for the mod glad they are adding this to the base game.
石田ライロス Dec 10, 2021 @ 10:41am
Game is getting closer and closer to Ark like in terms of features. So glad I got the game on sale!
FluxMaster  [author] Dec 9, 2021 @ 12:44pm
Well I considered it to be trivial to fix, I saw that the new update is having some FPS issues. This mod had good performance. I was planning to do more with it until they decided to introduce a fix. Hopefully they get it sorted out.
Mephilis78 Dec 9, 2021 @ 10:49am
Oh my, they actually used your mod? That's even funnier for Funcom, especially since you said it was an easy fix. Bravo for your success! Wonder what is going on in their office that made them overlook such a problem for so many years.....
Mephilis78 Dec 9, 2021 @ 10:47am
Was this updated to discontinued after the base game update yesterday? Disappointed that I don't get to use mods like this anymore, but happy that the Conan Exiles now has basic shelter from rain now lol (something that has existed since at least TES Oblivion)
FluxMaster  [author] Dec 9, 2021 @ 6:49am
Thanks everyone, appreciate it!

FluxMaster  [author] Dec 1, 2021 @ 4:24am
@V.V. Yes I think the mod did give them the burden to fix it. It was something they wanted to fix in the game as early as 2018, but they were improving other aspects of the game so it got put on the backburner. For me it was one of the worst immersion killing aspects of the game, so I am glad for the community to see them fix it.
FluxMaster  [author] Dec 1, 2021 @ 4:19am
I do not think the game has updated to 2.7 with the rain fix yet. I don't really follow the official updates, I just see them pop up in steam workshop when they happen. I believe the next game update will contain the rain fix.
myfrogstomp Nov 30, 2021 @ 12:25pm
Just want to thank you for this mod. Im here downloading because I dont know what everyone else is talking about. Whatever funcom claims they done isnt working on my end. Im still soaked indoors, at least on the nemedian buildings. Full roofs and walls with 100% shelter and everything inside still has the wetness effect. So I dont know what funcom was excited about because it isnt working on my end. So thanks for the mod.
V.V. Nov 29, 2021 @ 12:26am
Wait, they finally removed wetness indoors 'officially'? Sheesh, and I was enjoying this mod too, because I came back and was disappointed after being away for so long that they couldn't even be bothered to make a QoL change that people have been wanting since... forever.

Anyway, thank you for this mod, apparently it gave Funcom a kick in the butt to actually fix something that needed to be fixed years ago.

we are talking in DM
Lordbitchez Nov 27, 2021 @ 6:46am
Ok
Multigun Nov 27, 2021 @ 6:38am
Your logic makes no sense Ars. They are trying to make mods useless? Meanwhile, pretty much every update are more tools made for us mod authors. Where's the logic?

As I see this is turning into a "Multigun bash" section, I'll see myself out. Take care Flux.
Janus Nov 27, 2021 @ 5:11am
there is nothing more to say, as the community has always become toxic, people can only say "ohhhh great funcom perfect you are the best, thanks again for letting us play the game we bought with our money lol
