Sadly being able to build different kinds of walls was removed from VFEA. This also means I am not able to add my own colours of walls...

Just remembered this mod exists, it was always a must-have for me! Unfortunately I can't get it working now. The different colours don't show up in the drop-down when I click on any of the wall types. I have VFE installed and everything is in the right order, I've also tried changing the order of these mods in the mod list and no change. I have 1.6 and Odyssey. No errors that I can see. All I can assume is that another mod is responsible so I'll see if I can find any conflicts. (Note: The floors do appear to work though!)

I'm on vacation right now. I'll take a look if I can make them work when I get back.
You can't build them in deep waters actually, its more you can put heavy walls on them, etc

Update is on it's way. I have decided to remove deep water bridges in 1.6 version. I am not sure if you can build the new Heavy bridges on deep water, if not, I will try to find a way to have those be built on deep water instead.

I will update to 1.6/Odyssey when it is out. I need to test with Odyssey first to see handle the new deep water bridges.

Hey there, just to let you know: the author of '[T] MoreFloors 1.4' has changed their mod name to '[T] MoreFloors 1.5', so the patch operation (for 1.4) no longer works.

Updated to 1.5.

I had to remove the wall colours, as VFE Architect also does not support the different wooden walls anymore in 1.5. So my patch to add more did not work anymore.
If VFE Architect adds their walls back I will see if I can add mine back as well.

I have a suggestion:
Make it so the mod disables floors when they are more than one:
RimNauts 2, Architech, and Simply More Bridges all add steel bridges.

@AlotMaster: I don't use this myself anymore, and haven't played 1.5 yet. Does it give any errors on startup or is it just the message that it says it's not compatible? If it's just the message but it works you can just keep using it. I will update the version number when I have some time.

@Galvenox, Sadly I don't know how to fix that. I checked in the past and it looks like Stuffed Floors just goes through the list of available resources and adds a floor by resource, with corresponding cost of that resource. Afaik Stuffed Floors has the same issue with the woods from regular Vanilla Expanded Architect. Not much I can do unless there is a fix already for the original woods from VFEA.

great mod, I really like additional wood colors, I'd like to ask for compatibility with Stuffed Floors too like @Vinzero mentioned, if that's possible. right now can't use new wood colors because it's changing the resource to actual Walnut, Ash etc, which don't exist

@Power of OxiClean, After looking into this for you I found out I accidentally uploaded my latest version with .dds textures included. So the RimPy conversion shouldn't be needed.

Hello! On Linux, RimPy 1.2.6.29's DDS conversion seems to choke on jpg files; and this mod uses a mix of png and jpg textures. Would it be possible to update the textures to all be png format?

@Holgast, I'm afraid I dont use expanded woodworking myself. Looking at the description of the patches mod I would expect a lot more issues when using both this and that patches mod together. For now I would assume they are simply incompatible. You could try making a local copy of this mod and then removing all the wooden floors so only the deep water bridges stay behind.

hi! your refined floors patch is clashing with expanded woodworking floors patches - both add dropdowns and different wood floor types. would you mind not running it when it's active?

hmmmm or maybe it did help idk i removed some other mod so maybe that changed the sorting. anyway with the refied floors before ur mod i dont see the error anymore

thanks for the fast reply, rimpy default sorts the refined floors before your patch. so i dont think it will help

@Duck56, Looking into it further it seems like one of my fixes has already been fixed in either Refined Floors or VFE Architect. I will be able to test tomorrow. If this is the case I will remove the fix. The below workaround should still work in the mean time though.

Steam definitely has a problem updating mods in every game it seems. Buuuuut in this case I had forgotten to close the game to download mods. 10/10 smooth brain move :spiffo:

Mod has been updated for 1.4.

I have removed all the carpet patches as the vanilla system is way superior. I am going to try to add the new vanilla system to the textured carpet from Refined Floors. That will be in a future update though.

I am considering updating to 1.4. I just havent had the chance to test it yet. Also I am not sure how useful most of this mod will be with the new painting system. I might make a more simple mod instead that just includes deep water bridges and nothing else.

Any chance you could patch in " Stuffed Floors " as well?

They have a lot of good floors, but sadly it has a weird incompatibility with VFE Architect where it detects all the other woods as "real woods" and doesn't let you build floors from anything but the standard wood. :icari:

Hopefully this can be fixed and be incorporated into this mod.

So I noticed that with this mod, you can get a quest to build a monument, but it can REQUIRE bridges.

The resolution when you zoom is what i talk about, for example, vanilla if you zoom it with zoom mod, it will look blurry, but some modders make it HD so if you zoom it still clear, anyways thanks for the reply!!

I did not make any new textures for this mod, I used the textures already present in the compatible mods and in some cases I desaturated those to be able to color them better. No idea about resolution. What you're talking about sounds more like a minecraft thing. Afaik in rimworld most textures have the same sizes.

the resolution i think vanilla is x128 (pixel i guess? im a noob lol ) many modders make their stuff HD which is usually x512 if im not wrong

@Sol I've checked, and both "VFE" and "Refined floors" add each their versions of asphalt and packed dirt, both 99% identical in appearance/stats
