Steampunk as hell. Totally impractical obviously except for large deposits, but huge points for style and making it work. Congrats.

I wasn't really able to follow along with the beginning of the instructions because I couldn't find Drill Wheel anywhere in the control panels. I tried Crane Wheel after unlocking the crane however it didn't seem to work. I'm sure I'm missing something but I don't know what? Can you help?

Great! glad it was of use :) all theese new updates have finally made the full potential of this build possible :P converted this to ship and currently working on making this movable with own thrusters + deployable on rough terrain :)

Attached this drill to a mining ships, worked perfectly. Then attached a few modded cranes with welders and grinders. My 4,000+ block capital ship took 2 days to build instead of 2 weeks thanks to this. Thank you!!

Nice complex hinges, i have been wanting to make one with hinges like that, just never got to it, good use of landing gear.

I have something like this on the back of my mining flat top carrier. Just a simple survival carrier that looks a lot like a US naval carrier on the top. Flat surface to dock ships and 2 1x5 collectors for resources. The arm on mine has grinders tho as nothing I have found crane mounted is near as efficient as my small ship miner with 35 drills in a big rectangle. I have clamps that hold the ship as I grind it away. Big enought to hold a military esscort and break it up without losing any pieces in a few minutes.

I've been trying to make one of those since release for my funnel-ship :\ would be awesome to have one mounted on the rear beeing able to drill upwards and collect anything that's left over as well. Awesome design.

Try a welding/Grinding aparatus for it. Interesting idea for shipyards....
