Hi, Your chitin duplicates that of Faction Expanded Medieval 2 - would it be possible to merge them please?

The checkbox isn't working for me as well. Flicking them on and off still produces the same leather as if it's the on option. Changing leather variety also doesn't seem to work. Slaughtering an alpha thrumbo gave me heavy leather despite changing the leather type or turning on/off the checkbox

As soon as I install the mod, I can no longer load my shuttle in Odyssey. Even deactivating the mod does not fix the bug.

Using this mod and Persona Mechanoid Pawns at the same time causes the game to be unable to load at all, it doesn't crash, but all mods get unloaded and it throws errors if you try to press anything on the main menu. I just posted a comment on the other mod's page with more details, I'm posting it here too mainly because I have no idea which mod is causing the issue.

Im having the same issue of being unable to disable optimisation for certain animals. Wanting to disable it for the Dark Ages: Beasts and Monsters. So that I can still make their rugs.
has anyone made a compatibility patch for this and medieval overhaul? id love to use both if possible

Ok correct me if I'm wrong as it as been a while since I messed with settings in this mod. But the checkboxes in the settings should mean the animal's leather is no longer being "optimized" correct? I have noticed in 1.6 that the settings for those checkboxes are not saving at all.

Is there a way to blacklist certain animals from being optimized? I thought that's what the checkmarks were supposed to do, but I've changed several animals to Xs and restarted my game, and they're still being optimized.

The mod works but I think it throws errors sometimes especially with birds.
"Attempted to draw Chicken2285050 without a resolved render tree." ect ect.
Same when I kill sparrows or crows, curiously not always, and mostly offscreen, when I'm looking at something else.

Hello, will this be updated to 1.6? I like this simple mod due to not having fifty different leathers from just hunting wildlife.

Is there a way to make the mod ignore certain types of leather? I'm trying to make some armor from Biomes! Caverns that requires a special leather from their modded animals, I unticked the boxes for those animals on the Optimization Leathers settings but there's no change.

This mod quite bugged. Some features doesn't work for me.
For instance changing some mod-added animals leather type. After restarting the game even.
No error logs. :(

This mod doesnt affect traders items. They will still have specific resource items like.. "bison wool duster" instead of heavy fur or whatever bison is in this mod, not sure if this means you cant ever trade items made from the modded skins or not.

Great mod, but I need to configure it to make it even more streamlined (really only want one type of leather, similar to the meat optimization mod).

To do this you need to use the the mod options menu, but for me it seems to have no effect. However, if I edit the xml file directly it does work.

This mod always had this problem @ParasiticSquid. Some leathers could never be picked up and used even though disabled. Also Night leather from Alpha Animals and Rimbees also got that Leather.

Got a issue. Disabling galatross and moribound galatross from alpha animals from being effected doesn't seem to re-enable selecting galatross leather from storage or bill menus. Reason this is such a big issue is when this is used with alpha bees you can straight up get galatross leather from legendary bees even with this mod installed.

But if you can't store or even do anything with it it just sits there on the floor forever. No clue if it's a compat issue or not but it's the same issue I had with biomes caverns a while back oof

Dunno if you take feedback for defaults, but it should really be disabled for the Black Chitin from Alpha Animals. Nice mod btw

Can you please add the option to search for an animal? The list isn't in alphabetical order so it takes a really long time to find the animal I need...

only found this mod recently, absolutely love it. I'd also like to ask for a toggle all on/off button, as well as a search bar. There's 2 particular leather types I want to keep in my playthrough, and it's very tricky searching through all the animal and animal corpses that drop it. since they're not sorted alphabetically.

Update: I disabled all biomes cavern chitin creatures in this mods config to be sure it wasn't a situation where another creature used the same chitin so this mod disabled it. Chitin afterwards is still fully disabled leading to the previous issue which is.. odd. No clue if theres another mod that can cause this mods config changes to not take effect or it caverns just needs compatibility to prevent literally useless items from their animals when using this mod. Can't even haul them for obvious reasons. odd issue all around so far

Found a issue with this and biomes caverns. This disables the chitin from that mod and disabling the animals giving those disabled chitin in this mods config doesn't re-enable them. What this leads to with biomes caverns is certain insects that given you their normal butchered chitin as resource drops similar to wool still give the resources.. but you can't have it stored or used at all since it's not in any item catagories and doesn't exist as far as the games concerned.

Bovine beetle is the best example of this. Gives green chitin which is also it's butcher leather leading to this and disablling bovine beetle and it's lifestages doesn't seem to enable green chitin to allow storing and using it.
