@cauamachado ooh I just found this, apparently has a wake up to tend option. Tempted to start Yet Another Save to test it https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3009738919

Damn I was sure I had an alternative in my modlist. I do know though Niilo's QoL has these options:

Emergency doctoring - Various settings to set doctoring tasks to be emergency tasks, so doctor will tend before they go to bed.
Triage - Doctors prioritize patients based on bleed rate, so the most critical pawns are prioritized.

Not exactly what's you're looking for, but still handy if you don't already know the mod

Basically this is the only mod that needs to have a replacement for 1.5. Does anyone know of one?

My list 1.4 -> 1.5: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3071009865

This mod causes hitching every 4 seconds, do not use.

I agree. I know mod devs do it for free so I have no expectations, but I do hope this can be updated

Would love an update, if you found the time to do it.

@Berser163 Does a tree cry when it needs to be cut down or a freezer blow smoke when it needs to be filled. Obviously not, the need for a call to action is implied, like medical help. Seriously.

as no lazy doctors stopped playing, could u integrate its functions in your mod ?

After installing this mod, the turret no longer shoots ferocious animals.

good, so now I won't need to get mods to increase conscisness past 100%, then give them a circadian half-cycler so they are awake 100% of the time? (Still might so they never fail due to being angry from being tired...)

does this work if patients need to fed too? like, will the doc wake up to go give food to someone in a hospital?
Berser163 Nov 17, 2021 @ 1:31am
because they will finish hauling, sleeping, or eating, etc before they go help.

- priorities in the "work" tab ... ;)

the mod is necessary, the idea is correct, but, from a logical point of view, why does the pawn wake up? Is the patient screaming ? Or is the smoke accumulating in the room ?
These reasons for the pawn to wake up must be real, I hope mods that add Smoke in the room or a mod that makes a patient cry-a pawn or a pawn who has been injured, such mods should work together with your mod, then there will be a logical chain + increased negative effect \ penalties for a pawn that has woken up (a person who has not slept + stress from the experienced situation, etc.)

Jeep91 whole point of mod is to force them wake up during their sleep, because will never do it otherwise. Their daytime is fully up to you.

Is there a way to make them cancel jobs to immediately tend?
This mod works perfectly once they finish up something, they will go help.
However I keep having to draft and undraft my doctors quickly to reset their job because they will finish hauling, sleeping, or eating, etc before they go help.
Cheers in advance,

@Vartarhoz yeah, thanks for pointing out. Fixed in recent update. Actually couldn't figure what was causing it in my own playthrough xD
Vartarhoz Sep 22, 2021 @ 4:35pm
This mod wakes downed colonist too. My doctor got knocked out, was in bed, my other pawn need treatment, bam "colonist need rescue" because he woken up by mod but incapable of moving :)

MD: Must treat others
Cook: Dude you can't even walk.

@Wickedswordsman provide a detailed bug report. I use both work tab and wake up and it's all works fine to me.
Wicked Sep 3, 2021 @ 8:34am
This mod has a major bug but idk what causes it. Having this active makes my pawns not show up on the work tab and I have Fluffys work tab mod downloaded but I have tried with and without Fluffys mod still does it. It's an issue with this mod.

Any github link? :D I'd like to see how you did this for my modding learning session :D

Thank you for this detailed explanation :)

If a bit more in depth:
Every rare tick of pawn (happens once in ~5 seconds on 3x speed) code excecutes on all pawns assigned to medic worktype if there is available medic work. And this code wakes them up one by one if there is a job that can be done right now. So pawn wakes up, reserves this job and check goes to next pawn. If there are no medic jobs left for him that he can do - he will keep sleeping.
But even if pawn got awakened and there is no job for him - he will go back to sleep. Only emergencies have more priority over sleeping.
TL;DR only on emergencies. Fire or life threatening tending.
Erazil Aug 31, 2021 @ 4:31am
the pawn only stop too sleep if emergencies is ON or stop any job in progress too ?
Raul Moreau Aug 30, 2021 @ 11:40pm
I think it's works on 1.2?
Velvet Aug 30, 2021 @ 5:11pm
I think its not vanilla behavior because sometimes you can have a minor, but still multi-tile fire that only needs the one or two people awake to fight it, or a group of colonists that all need tending, but not urgently, so only waking up a single doctor would be ideal to avoid more mood debuffs.

Ultimately, the ideal would be for vanilla to have a per-colonist toggle for it, but I do understand why it isn't default behavior.

@BestToasterNA barely any.

Is there a performance impact using this mod?
