confusing it is, slightly.
why are there 2 thrumkin mods? and more importantly, if the other one is bugging and i use this one instead, is the outcome gonna look the same?

does the thrumbo horn gene aside from the graphic also have the pawns with it drop a thrumbo horn when butchered?

Came here after troubleshooting another persons texture-errors. Not 100% sure what the author of this mod tried to achieve, but one of the mod-patches tries to make Thrumbos viable pack animals without providing the necessary saddle-textures - thus making the texture error.

So commenting out the first sequence in the Patch.xml (via xml-commenting: <!-- text -->) should fix this at least. Since the author is apparently not interested in investing the 30sec to upload a proper fix on their end...

I also see the pink square. It happened to a thrumbo when I formed a caravan. My people look fine. I have other mods but nothing I'd expect to affect a thrumbo. Thrumbo looks okay after dropping gear so it might be affecting the animation for the pack. I wonder if bug other people reported happens when they don specific gear like utility packs.

I think the thrumbo stuff is bugged. Shows in pink squares and also thrumbos themselves are not shown in the right way

This mod adds thrumbo horn genes. I think the alpha genes mod also has a thrumbo horn gene
You can make your own xenotypes using different genes and make them appear in factions ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2891975564&searchtext=xenotype ).
Use character editor to test which horn genes work and which don't. It also lets you make your own xenotypes. Make a xenotype called "thrumbo-folk" or something like that using a working horn gene, the other stuff from this mod and I guess anything else you want thrumboians to have from base game or other mods you use, and then make it so that that xenotype is what appears in the thrumboian faction instead of default thrumboians.
You can supplant and alter the xenotypes of any faction you want like this. Just try not to get into customization hell where you spend all your time customizing things instead of playing the game

Are they meant to not have any horns as a xenotype? It says they do but they visually don't. Any fixes?

I seem to have a bug with this race now. They appear on the map and the performance slows down to slomo. Also couldn't make a functioning start with them as colonists. They were my fav xenos before the update :(

So happy to see you switch this over to biotech genes. You forgot to add a gene to extend the Thrumboian's lifespans to be as long as they were in older versions, though. I always liked that little detail. They also don't have the herbivorous diet they used to, but I might be misremembering that trait.

i think the gene need a slight adjsutment. The 225% hunger is very annoying and mostlikely hard to handle. The old thrumbodian fury works passively makes the race super super strong. But now it is an active ability and has average cooldown, they are nerfed. To be fair please adjust the gene to atleast has 150% hunger rate, it is almost impossible to do the thrumbo screnario cos u will busy urself managing the food and halting the growth. Anyway thanks for the 1.4 + biotech update
