I really love but also respect his work mentality and optimisation endeavors.
this also works for preventing animals you dont want to equip things on, just deselect all apparel.
Doing some testing as I suspect it's this mod and RPG inventory not playing nice together
My modded animals keep wearing stuff only for humans (shield belts specifically) and then they're invisible and I can't take it off of them
Animal Gear and Animal Equipment provide different things. What I concluded from what Dylan said, you can run this 1.4 version in 1.5 game just fine as long as you use his 1.5 Animal Gear mod with it. Or that's at least how I understood it, but if I am having a brainfart here, do correct me.
Edit: If you don't have an apparel policy for your animals they will wear everything near them, I had a timber wolf wearing all the gloves I had saved for cold snaps lol. The mod is definitely still usable in its not updated state but you will have some funky things to work around.
Animals don't have a torso, they have a body.
So the armor from this DOESN"T apply when they have a body and not a torso because the code sees they don't have a torso and doesn't apply the armor to them.
But I'm freaking tired that all new tamed/born animal run to wear shield belts and other pawn's special clothes.
Can you please create default preset with Only Animal Apparel and force it to every new animal in colony!? Honestly, without an option like that, for me it is nearly unplayable.
