will this be updated for 1.6?

There is really no reason to have the mod auto remove the forced status,
the button is right next to it.

Hi Urethra Franklin
Thank you so much for updating this mod! I’ve been eagerly waiting for an update and was thrilled to see it finally happen. Using this mod has always been such a joy, and I truly appreciate the time and effort you took to bring this update to us. It means a lot to me and many others in the community!

you have no idea how many times I checked back in- this mod made changing outfits so simple. I love you!

Hello all, not sure when I'll be able to get around to updating this as I recently moved countries and my PC is currently on a boat somewhere.

Rest assured, I will be updating this once all my stuff arrives so I can play Anomaly but in the meantime, anyone else feel free to recompile against 1.5 and create a release :)
Legion Apr 19, 2024 @ 11:48am
Asking every day is not going to make it upset any faster.

The mod is great. It would be awesome to make it works with 1.5
Onikage-056, God of Animatronics Apr 14, 2024 @ 8:08pm
Any chance for an update?
Peryn [Андрій] Apr 9, 2024 @ 1:38am
Any chance for 1.5? Cause trouble when loading with 1.5
Rumpled Foreskin  [author] Mar 24, 2023 @ 8:44am
I have also never encountered this over several heavily modded playthroughs and I save scum A LOT.
Rumpled Foreskin  [author] Mar 24, 2023 @ 8:40am
Hi aikixd, I will investigate this but I don't think it's possible for this mod to cause this behaviour. The outfits created by this are not bound to pawns in any special way. When you press save, it simply generates a new outfit (or updates it) in the list of all outfits and then assigns it to the pawn. From there, normal vanilla outfit handling/management resumes.
aikixd Mar 23, 2023 @ 2:27pm
Hi, there's a tiny bug:
1. Have a pawn with saved outfit.
2. Kill pawn.
3. Bury pawn (mb not needed).
4. Save game.
5. Load game.
6. Have exception.

It seems that it fails to load data for dead pawn. Other pawns policies binds seems not to be affected.
KurtsCorbenik Nov 29, 2022 @ 7:03am
Yeah that's it ty Mr urethra.
Rumpled Foreskin  [author] Nov 29, 2022 @ 12:19am
@KurtsCorbenik Not sure what you mean by this. It simply disables all worn items and leaves the currently worn items enabled.

If a pawn is wearing patchleather pants and then thrumbofur pants become available, your pawn will go wear the better quality pants. So I guess it registers the item type. Hope that helps.
KurtsCorbenik Nov 28, 2022 @ 8:02pm
Does this register the item type or the exact item?
Rumpled Foreskin  [author] Oct 21, 2022 @ 6:41am
Just updated for 1.4. Please let me know if you encounter any issues :)
MeatBeatMarv Oct 21, 2022 @ 5:53am
Fingers crossed for a 1.4 update. This mod saves so much tedium
FoxoManiak Jun 15, 2022 @ 9:30am
Great stuff!
Golux_Ironheart Mar 2, 2022 @ 9:58am
This one looks exactly what I need. Was using the 1.3 original in combination with armor racks, but every time they equip from the rack they then go and start taking everything off because it's not allowed in their setup. Forcing THAT made it so they didn't have a work outfit, so I would have to go and manually add each piece or upgrade.
Being able to ADD currently equipped items to the loadout policy is <chefs kiss>.
robinzilla Nov 27, 2021 @ 1:44am
@Drayco84 Thank you so much for the suggestions to try and work out a solution! :) I will definitely give it a try when I can get back to my game in a few days. I had to stop playing my current play through because the recent updates broke some of my mods. I decided to just give time for mod devs to catch up and now I'm coming back to play.
Drayco84 Nov 27, 2021 @ 12:05am
I 100% can't blame you. In order to implement restricting apparel by material, it'd take some actual code wizardry and I'd never expect somebody that made a mod like this to even attempt something like what robinzilla suggested. That's so far beyond the scope of this mod that it's not even funny and is very much it's own mod idea. I was mostly posting to give robinzilla advice on how to set such a thing up.
Their situation is why I just make everything out of purple Hyperweave, because it's easily one of the better materials and I like purple. (Hmmm... Could start raising rhinos or thrumbos for leather... I have Pawnmorpher, just need a few "volunteers" to get started...)
Rumpled Foreskin  [author] Nov 26, 2021 @ 5:53pm
@Drayco84 Thanks for the info and suggestions.

Unfortunately I'm a bit burned out on RimWorld and fairly busy with real life work at the moment. As I don't use VGP anymore (found it way too bloated with VE), I can't really see myself implementing this any time soon.

I will continue to maintain and update this mod if updates break things, but adding new features isn't on my radar for the immediate future.
Drayco84 Nov 26, 2021 @ 1:16am
Sequence of events if you go this route... Rename storage to find it in the list later and restrict only that pawn to take things from it and block their access to apparel from other sources. Set up a unique job at Tailoring workbench that uses specific dyed materials and items are dropped off at only that storage. Set pawn's apparel policy to desired items and flip the desk when something breaks, or do a victory dance because HOLY ****, IT WORKED!
Seriously, good luck!
Drayco84 Nov 26, 2021 @ 1:10am
Considering that this looks it it works with the default outfit policy, there's no means to limit items by material, which includes VGP's dyed textiles. Now, you MIGHT be able to finagle something like that with Restricted Storage (C:\Program Files (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2015159617) and Take It To Storage! (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2418209507) by only allowing certain dyed items per job/bill to go to certain places. However, if you go this workaround, may I recommend Shelf Renamer (Continued)? (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2367950077)
By Randy, that's a lotta hoops to jump through, my dude. Good luck!

And I just now realize that the last post was made on Sept 6th... Heck with it, I put too much effort into this to NOT post it.
robinzilla Sep 6, 2021 @ 10:49am
I'm using VGP Garden Dyes at the moment. It does add a new material category (dyed cloth, etc) that I can use to keep different colors of material separated in storage, but nothing for apparel that I make with that material. I'm not sure how difficult it would be to offer a sorting option for apparel, but I appreciate you looking into it.

@robinzilla
You're welcome :) Honestly, it depends how the mod works. What's it called? Does it introduce a filter by colour? If so, I can probably look in to making it compatible for you, but I can't promise anything.
robinzilla Sep 5, 2021 @ 3:00pm
Thanks for keeping this wonderful mod going! I had a question about how it saves outfits though. Is it possible restrict a pawn to a specific color of clothing? I recently added a dye mod so i can dye my materials and make clothes in whatever color i want. I know the usual outfit manager doesnt offer a color filter, but I wondered if this could help with that. Thanks.
Rumpled Foreskin  [author] Sep 2, 2021 @ 12:48am
@Oninaig
Sure can, I developed it for use in my existing colony. It should also be safe to remove mid-game also, you'll likely get a one-time error when you first load a save after removal, but it shouldn't permanently break anything.
Oninaig Sep 1, 2021 @ 12:44pm
Can this be added to an existing save?
Rumpled Foreskin  [author] Aug 27, 2021 @ 8:42pm
@Gotcha!
Nope, never heard of it

Rumpled Foreskin  [author] Aug 7, 2021 @ 1:41pm
Hello, should be fixed now
созерцатель Aug 7, 2021 @ 9:25am
Hey thanks for your work. Is there a reason why mod weights 31 mb?
Rumpled Foreskin  [author] Aug 7, 2021 @ 5:28am
Pretty much the reason I made this, I find a lot of outfit management mods just have so much feature bloat.

This should be compatible with almost everything. If you notice any weird behaviour or have suggestions for improvements, feel free to let me know :)
condottiere Aug 7, 2021 @ 3:56am
This sounds like a neat, direct compromise between vanilla manually ticking apparel lists esp w out-of-control mod apparel bloat, and the finicky will-it-won't-it-be-compatible Awesome Inventory (with which I have a love-hate relationship).

I'm looking forward to yours playing nicely w other mods more than AweInv (which hasn't been updated yet, anyway)!

P.S. Dat username tho, ha ha
