I dont know anything about C# code so i did a quick chatgpt check and the tainted issue might be something with the way rimwold checks for tainted.

"So the root cause is that Apparel.WornByCorpse stopped being the reliable tainted flag in newer RimWorld versions. You’ll want to switch to ApparelUtility.IsTainted(apparel)."

"Tainted is no longer tracked only with WornByCorpse.
Instead, it’s implemented with a CompWearerCorpse and an extension method:"

"In ExposeData you use "qualityThreshhold" instead of "qualityThreshold".
That mismatch may break saves if users already have configs."

Proxy

If we can repair books (I only actually saw the "repair other items" option when troubleshooting for this new glitch. I didn't know it was there before, the glitch with the tainted clothes seems to have broken that, because my books aren't being repaired.
Proxy Aug 15 @ 10:59am
can we repair other items like books?
赤光的宣言 Aug 15 @ 7:59am
Now my colonists keeps repairing tainted clothes for no reason (i turned off "Allow Tainted" in mod settings)
laurent.mialon Aug 14 @ 4:01am
untill it is fixed, i recommend using "removes tainted clothes" mod.
Ranamga Aug 13 @ 9:17am
I'm also getting the issue with tainted not being removed upon full repair anymore.
EvilRobot69 Aug 12 @ 3:38pm
Ditto with the repair not removing tainted
nedarahan Aug 12 @ 3:19pm
Just tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Didn't work.

Also, I only just now found the option to repair things other than clothes. Should it work on books? Because they're not repairing the books.
laurent.mialon Aug 12 @ 11:30am
tried killing one of my guys : the remove tainted option just seem to have stopped working.
laurent.mialon Aug 12 @ 11:13am
the Tainted clothes were worn by impids on an unified ark quest if that matters : are there distinct kind of tainted clothes out there ? (ps : i tried updating to latest git files, restarting game but it still won t remove the tainted attribute from those clothes (puting them out in the rain to retry to repair but no luck so far)
laurent.mialon Aug 12 @ 11:00am
any idea why it would suddenly not remove tainted ? am i too wealthy for this to work : is there some kind of limitation ? :)
laurent.mialon Aug 12 @ 10:36am
hmm not sure if there is a conflict with a new mod i installed (character editor ?) but suddenly i have a lot of repaired stuff that remains tainted : weird. (the option to remove tainted is on though)
Padoru Aug 10 @ 11:31pm
This works, just download the mod from github. Steamworkshop fetch different version hence the error
Prowlercat Aug 8 @ 9:04am
For some reason i am not able to repair the Flak Jacket. I tried to tweak thge mod settings, but still i can repair other piece of clothing of armor but not that one. Weird,
BloodCardBeefy Aug 2 @ 12:36am

it says 1.4
Moony  [author] Jul 26 @ 6:45am
Its a steam bug of some sort, not much i can do about it - try unsub and resubing to the mod, try switch your steam download server to UK - London to match mine, try installing the mod files from github and placing it in your steamapps/common/Rimworld/mods folder.
Ghoster Jul 25 @ 4:31pm
please fix the 1.4 bug
flecha Jul 20 @ 3:29am
it happens to me the same thing it says 1.4
DARK170 Jul 19 @ 4:00pm
When i instled it it says in game that mod is for 1.4
687 Jul 17 @ 2:15pm
nice!
Gravus (Eumelia) Jul 16 @ 9:15pm
@laurent Thanks for posting the workaround for this issue. Weird that this randomly happened.
laurent.mialon Jul 14 @ 4:19am
i recommand doing a back up of the mod folder before that just in case, and yes restart the game to take into account new content.
laurent.mialon Jul 14 @ 4:18am
ok seems to be an old steam problem : open the folder of the mod (there is an option for that into the game mod management : replace the content of that folder (delete) with the content of the git server : to do that click on the green code button and chose download zip option on Git)
laurent.mialon Jul 14 @ 3:39am
(hello ;)) )
laurent.mialon Jul 14 @ 3:35am
when i suscribe it only adds the 1.4 version of the mod : why is that ???
Ellis Jul 14 @ 3:13am
If you add crafting xp to this it would be the GOAT. Great Mod and Great Job.
Hyndis Jul 13 @ 3:36pm
Thanks for the update! This a fantastic mod. One feature request though -- would it be possible to add in a new option to repair items? Not weapons/armor, but items, such as books, or stacks of mechanical parts, stacks of cloth, or a bionic limb that hasn't been installed yet? Something so that if a mortar hits a storeroom you won't have random items at 65% durability for the rest of the game.

billyhume060307 Jul 13 @ 4:53am

Cristi Jun 24 @ 7:35am

Inerael May 13 @ 8:46am
@Zalfir did you manage to know pls ? i'm wondering too, and purging some mods for my next game to prevent lag
Zalfir Feb 16 @ 1:13am
Does this slow the game down much? Must take up a lot of tick space searching through a lot of items.
Quilava Oct 11, 2024 @ 8:16am
Silly me, item mark with Tainted cant be repair cause the default mod setting, glad i figured it out
seraphonica Sep 21, 2024 @ 4:07pm
I'm enjoying this mod, thanks! I'm not huge on balance, but if others are, maybe there could be an option to make each repair reduce the quality level or max hp of the item being repaired. Just an idea. Cheers!
Crimson Sep 19, 2024 @ 8:46am
Does this require a table and a researched tech?
悲嬴欢阙 Sep 17, 2024 @ 10:57pm
@Gavran, you can find the newest version on the github link above.
Gavran Jul 2, 2024 @ 8:52pm
I'm seeing this too, on a fresh install with no history of this mod. I think Steam is serving an old version, can you commit a new one maybe?
Nublythenub Jun 30, 2024 @ 10:15am
@trooper11 how do I fix the 1.4 issue
sintri Jun 30, 2024 @ 1:13am
Don't think this mod worked without Work Tab, added it and kept running into invisible pawns on both old and new games. Eventually installed Work Tab after trying a few other things and started working.
trooper11 Apr 27, 2024 @ 10:09am
@Moony Sorry for the late reply, but it took me a while to back to testing. I can confirm that going and deleting the config file fixed that error, but I also had to completely delete the mod and re download it as well, then the issue was gone for good. I will say there was only a single config file in that folder, so nothing had been duplicated there. Thanks for the help!
Ulterior The Panzie Apr 24, 2024 @ 5:35pm
It's doing the same thing for me; showing up as 1.4 mod.
Moony  [author] Apr 24, 2024 @ 6:37am
Okay strange, maybe just steam not realising it needed the update perhaps.
utata Apr 23, 2024 @ 10:39pm
It automatically fixed yesterday all of the sudden.
that was weird but just resolved. I didnt install mod for 1.4 before this problem so i dont think it's caching issue. no idea
Moony  [author] Apr 23, 2024 @ 12:41pm
The mod folder should contain 4 folders: 1.3/ 1.4/ 1.5/ About/ and a file LoadFolders.xml which determines which version of the mod to use. Are all of these present?
utata Apr 21, 2024 @ 9:59pm
I think the mod folder didn't have sub dir '1.3' and '1.4' last time i saw which is a bit weird.
let me verify if the mod directory has correct contents once im back home.
Tell me if there's any specific information u need to set up the hypothesis
utata Apr 21, 2024 @ 9:52pm
sorry for not giving info well.
I've been using my self-compiled repair items mod in my rimworld/mods folder for past few days. It's recognized as a mod for version 1.5 as inteded.
Then yesterday I tryed to install repair items by subscribing workshop to get updated version, then the game complains that it's not compatible for version 1.5 but 1.4.
In its source folder I saw MoonyRepairClasses.cs which I believe is renamed to RepairItems.cs in recent update.
Any chance I downloaded outdated version by subbing?
Moony  [author] Apr 21, 2024 @ 7:21am
It's possible that the updated version of the mod has created a second settings file at "C:\Users\[username]\AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld by Ludeon Studios\Config", going here and deleting the old one, or if you can't work out which that is, deleting both should just reset the settings to default. The second error seems to be related to the settings as well, so let me know if the first fix solves the second too. Thanks.

Regarding the game version it works for 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5 and automatically detects which you are playing on, can you provide any more information about the problem you are having?
