Im looking for mods wich makes the game harder because I am using RPGO
So I have 2 question :

1 : Is it compatible with LWOTC ? If yes, does it play well together ?
2 : Basically to confirm : Is this mod really making the game harder?

Do the weights on each month have to add up to 10 or can I use different numbers when editing the config?

e.g. (Diff1 = 9, Diff2 = 8, Diff3 = 2, Diff4 = 1) would mean 10% for hard and 5% for very hard

there are no guerrilla ops in CI, those all turn into infiltration or assault missions / chains

Hi again @h4ilstOrm, I don't suppose you would know if there is any point affecting guerrilla ops if using Covert Infiltration Mod?

I have this mod and your Covert Infiltration version to give better variation in mission difficulties already, so I'm thinking the changes in EU Style Strategy Pacing affecting mission difficulty are redundant. I know those two are not your mods, and you may not have the answers, but I thought I would ask just in case you have some insight.

This mod doesn't affect guerrilla ops, as it says in config.

Those work differently and get assigned various difficulties without mods already. EU style pacing changes the vanilla values for that.

1,2 maybe one pods worth depending on what stage of the game you are at and assuming no other mods. once you have other things as well it starts to get muddy

Lifesaver of a mod. XCOM's always been amazing to me in the early game but grindy and dull in the late game once every mission becomes super difficult.

I believe that mod is just config changes to make missions spawn more often, which should work just fine with this.

Do you reckon this would be compatible with Mission Mania? That mod doubles how often tactical missions spawn, but I'm not sure if that modifies the same systems as this mod does.

I believe it should be, that mod does its thing with custom sitreps and doesn't alter how the missions are spawned.

Thank you so much. I have been tortured by the difficulty mechanism for so long. I even have to play a round of game for more than one hour even in Rookie mode. This mod will save my gameplay!

Should work mid campaign, won't affect missions that are already spawned.

Damn this would be amazing if it was totally compatible with CI. I just got squad wiped in June and having every mission be Very Difficult was getting boring; my rookies were useless. I wanna restart with this mod but CI is just too gamechanging to remove :\

Just a heads up.
If you have adjusted your configurations you will need to do it again. I added an option to give specific missions their own weights e.g. never get "Easy" retaliations and as a byproduct I did some restructuring for the config which will wipe any changes you might have done.

Not exactly, its hard to explain without going too deep into technical detail... Some modded missions will work out of the box, some might need adding to the config and worst case this mod just wont affect them but there shouldn't be any adverse effects.

So it should be taken as it won't effect mod added missions unless added to the configs, and won't effect missions that have custom logics.

It depends, if the mod adds to existing mission sources it should work, if it creates a new mission source it will not work without adding it to the configuration, and it might not work even then if there is some custom logic at play somewhere.

Mod looks like it would be nice cause it definately sucks loosing high level people late game and not really given a chance to level up a new character. Does anyone know if this mod works in Vanilla?

It might, you should test it. I don't know how exactly it does its thing: if it only uses the special sitreps then they probably do work together but if it also changes something under the hood how the missions spawn they might not work together.

@SlayerOfKings It should, but only for newly spawned missions.

@Dex For scanning site spawned GOps it might actually work. Regular GOps are generated as a set of 3 with set difficulties, i.e. 1 difficult 2 very difficult at the end which I feel is fine and its done differently on code side so the function I patch does not affect GOps

I saw in the ini that configuring G.Ops is different. How do they work? Scanning sites plus makes you complete a G.op for a POI reward instead of just getting it and being able to make those vary in difficulty would make my campaigns a lot more fun.
