wow, this is great. i think this is exactly the light hoplite role that was supposed to be covered by the light hoplite greek unit.

would it be possible for you to make this available to al greeks, or better yet edit the light hoplite to reflect these changes?

If it were me, i's drop the shortswords, make them dory only, but have 2 light javalins (kinda like a an ultralight hyspaspist.)

I just think light shield bearers should be faster and more manoeverable than its regular counterpart, but weaker in a long lasting upfront battle. in other words : a very strong offensive unit good for flanking or protecting the wings of the phalanx, but vulnerable to long melees with heavy armoured infantry. Just my opinion, keep up the good work !

@s.lfournier - well, this unit was a request so i worked mostly off what the requesting fellow wanted, although he hasen't signed on in awhile, i should probably balance it

Hi, your unit is awesome ! my only concern is about balancing.. why do they have better melee attack and melee defense than regular shield bearers for like half the cost ? regular shield bearers have better armor, but in a 1 on 1 frontal fight between those two units, light shield wins. Is that normal ? is it because I have patch 12 beta ?

good idea, and looks very authentic. nice little extra details with the neckerchiefs and the crossbelts, i am using this on my units as well, it gives more variants. solid job!

hey man, i have a suggestion for the romans
i want you to add legionary war elelphants and armoured legionary war elephants,
you seem to listen to suggestinos so i think this is a pretty cool thing to do!
and i know auxillary war elephants are present but i want legionary war elephants! which are trainable from the standard barrack lvl IV
pls do so i would appreciate it!

@dimitili - the period button on your keyboard seems to be broken good sir! :D anywho, their is no good half moon symbol in rome '2's files, so in order to do that i'd have to add it my self, i have no idea how. And i my mods are seperate because i despise unit *packs*, and shall staty that way. i got this handled. :D

put the half moon on thespian shields....it was their symbol....their emblem...and start putting ur mods into one...

@♥♥ HaDeS ♥♥ - don't worry, the thespians are and always have been black, and available to sparta and athens. No prob there. And my elite units i often make to *combat* those late units they love to have spammed.. Blasted romans...and their fish smelling food...

Noble Sir Eggmond,our friend babisaigio is right many mods have been made but nothing is fully historical...I like your mode about Thespian Hoplites but you should make them to be recruitable from Sparta and athens as they fought side by side and their cloacks were black...I am from Thespies and I know everything about them so if you want any info about them be free to ask me...as for the Sacred Band of Thebes you should make them recruitable only for the Athenians as they fought with them against Macedon and before them they fought against Sparta...I really like your Arcadian Mercs...keep up the good job mate!!!if you can make a good mod about the re-train of the Hellenic Armies that would be awesome as we have to destroy our armies in late period they can't match with the Roman Legionaries or the Parthian Cataphracts...

@DramaBelli - to be honest i thought using the real name would go over people's heads, we Greeks often confuse people with our epic knowledge. I don't blame them. (shh don't tell anyone, i forgot that's what light bearers were called, i fixed it)
