Light Shield Bearers (Ekdromoi)

Hello! and behold my latest unit, by request, the Light shield bearers. Or, erkdromoi. I thought it would be a nice change of pace, to have these guys around.

Sometimes brute force is not needed, lighter and faster may win the day at times.

This is a light hoplite unit, for macedon. It comes from military building tier 1, if all goes to plan. They have all the abilites hoplite's need, and are in custom battle and campaign. They are pretty tough, but better at attack then defense, as they have light to no armor.

Some info for history lovers. ---> The Ekdromos (plural Ekdromoi) was an ancient Greek light hoplite. The name means 'out-runners', and denotes their ability to exit the phalanx and fight in an irregular order, as the situation might demand. The Ekdromoi were mostly lightly armoured (with aspis and bronze helmet) fast infantry and were armed with spear and short sword. The term would actually describe any hoplite who practiced the tactic of Ekdrome, that is the irregular exit from the battleline.
