I'm not sure if there's an older version that is playable but there's a similar mod called "Pulchritudinous States" that has lots of states that is actually playable.

Also, Am I right about there was a playable version which could be unplause? and i am really impressed that the leader dev is a girl, Since I thought the paradox community is a bit of a lack of female participants(lol), I hope there will be more.

If you still crash with legacytest, you should try increasing your pagefile or swap size to 20gb (20000 in windows) as well as disabling all DLC and adding -debug to the HoI4 steam launch option (not in paradox launcher, steam game properties.) If you still have issues after you've done that join the discord and @ me (@faustumOssis) and i can help you more, don't @ the lead dev she's kinda mean lol (sorry liz it's true)

The repo itself is all you need. you can download the zip under "<> Code," then "Download ZIP" and unpack it into a "MappaMundi" folder in Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\mod or you could set up GitHub Desktop (too long to explain here). Also make sure to move "mappamundi.mod" out of the folder and into the /mod directory.

Second question, "legacytest" branch is for 1.14.10 and is more stable, the steam version and most recent GitHub version is for modern HoI4 (1.16.9 or 1.16.8 they both should work).

I agree that they should include instructions for the github download but i'm not a dev, just a dedicated fan. I'll try and get them to add it.

The mod's literally unplayable & I am using the Github version! I maybe have too little memory because it used up 16 Gigs which is half of my RAM.

@Malviyn the mod doesn't usually crash. just if you do something wrong. don't use the steam version. it's very outdated. use Github version. AND JOIN DISCORD for any problems. probably no one can helo you here, usually.

I swear, the mod is unplayable. I have no DLC, I have no other mods, I even turned off the graphics submod, but NO. It's still unplayable. It still CRASHES when initializing the map. And I have 1.36 TB of storage free. FIX IT IMMEDIATELY, I DEMAND IT!!
