Light Step, Agility, Run, Sneak, First Aid, Cooking, Sewing.
The rest I haven't tested yet.
All the skills I couldn't write down I got while playing.
However, I have 132 recipes in my journal, but I'm not sure I've read that many recipe journals.
Anyway, dying is still scary.
My light step and stealth are not saved.
I’d really appreciate your help with this mod.
I tried to create it using AI, but I wasn’t successful. The idea is described in the mod’s description — though the logic might be completely wrong.
If you manage to make it work and want to publish it, feel free to release it as your own — I’ll remove this version.
If you’re willing to take a look, I’d be happy to send you a coffee as a thank-you for your work. And of course, all the credit goes to you!

I had added the mod to the Mods list, but I completely missed that it also needed to be included in the WorkshopItems section.
Once I added the Workshop ID there, it worked perfectly.
Thank you so much!

WARN : Mod , 1753038092257> 92,239> ZomboidFileSystem.loadModAndRequired> required mod "SkillRecoveryJournal" not found"
I have the workshop ID and Mod ID listed in the server config settings, I have been able to install other mods and see them in the Sandbox settings but not the SkillRecoveryJournal settings. To be safe i was able to install the dependencies for the B42 version, and that still did not help.
Really looking forward to playing with this mod!
Just to be safe, I tested with only this mod, Error Magnifier, and Mod Update and Alert System enabled—no other mods were active.
Thank you for answering.
I’ve enabled the mod in the server’s mod list and added it to the active workshop items. I also adjusted the related sandbox settings, and the Skill Recovery Journal section does appear in the sandbox options as expected.
In-game, I have all the necessary materials in my inventory (leather strips, twine, pen, and notebook), but the “Bind Journal” recipe doesn’t show up in the Recipes tab—even under General or Survivalist. I’ve also tried searching manually without using the filter, but still nothing appears.
I’d appreciate any help or clarification. Thanks for making such a helpful mod!
thanks in advance

Do you use a "fix craft menu lag" type of mod? If yes, you need to load that mod first or not at all.
I was so frustrated at the game when I wrote my comment.
Leather strips from leather clothing and a scissors.
Thread and needles from ripping any clothing apart, or in sewing kits. They're a common item.
So yea I'm gonna have to look for another mod for this.
