As a temporary workaround, you could lower the effect intensity in the options menu
Maybe you're using some UI mod that stops the menu from showing?
NoAimFix/Scripts/4_World/ъауў*ѕ.p3d(119): Can't find variable 'm_WasIronsight'
You can find the mod settings in the options menu, under the sUDE/sVisual tab
You can lower the headbob to 0 to completely disable it :)
My personal feeling was indeed, that the intensity was too high, even on the lowest possible setting. I believe a really subtle focus-shift would be nice, just like the other options can enhance and alter the feeling of gameplay quite a bit, while being subtle on low settings themselves.
Without going too much into details, the DDoF relies on the geometry of the game objects to decide where to focus, which are often inconsistent in that matter (that's why you can look focus through certain fences and not some others); unfortunately we can't mod vanilla game models.
I could give the DDoF a tweak to allievate the issue (maybe slowing down the focusing speed?), but it will never be perfect because of the before mentioned issues.
Regarding the effect on near objects, I could tone the intensity down a bit :)
Really nice mod, but the depth of field setting seems busted. Setting it to 0.01 and climbing a ladder on the coast of Namalsk makes it spasm out (probably because your character quickly alternates between looking at the ladder in front of you and the sky/horizon) and looking at the sky itself still has a way too potent effect on any item/firearm you are holding.
yeah, sVisual helmets and gasmasks overlays are hidden by default when in 3rd person
What gasmask are you having this problem with? It might be that it's using the vanilla overlay (which don't hide in 3rd person)
you can find a tutorial here https://simonvic.github.io/sUDE/tutorials/3/
if you don't see the configuration menu in the options (it should be inside the sUDE tab), it likely means the mod has not been loaded at all.
Double check that you're loading the mod correctly.
Sorry, I completely forgot to update the workshop page description.
You don't need to do anything to use sVisual, it should be plug-n-play :)
I've very briefly tried it now, and at first glance it seems to be working
Let me know if you find any incompatibility :)
With the latest sVisual update the sVisual_Namalsk compatibility mod is no longer needed :)
Remove it from your mod list please.
I'll make the sVisual_Namalsk mod private on the workshop since it's not needed anymore
If you're still experiencing any issue, don't hesitate to ping me in the discord server; it's much easier to chat there :D
In your in-game graphic settings, make sure that Post processing quality is not set at minimum.
If it still doesn't work, it might be some incompatibility with another mod.
For that, I suggest using sVisual experimental.
If you're already using sVisual experimental and effects still don't work, open the in-game settings menu and in the sUDE / sVisual section and increase the effects intensity option
If it still doesn't work let me know :)
also if possible for our lovely namalsk we have some "freezing" indicator... that would be awesome! and thank you for all the hard work
please use the experimental version of sVisual, which you can find in my workshop.
sVisual 2.0 (experimental) should be compatible with every other mod; it also adds some new feature and it fixes a lot of bugs. You can find changelogs here https://simonvic.github.io/sUDE/changelogs/#
yes you can :)
you can edit the sVisual_constraints.json file, to force the settings for all players in your server.
The json file can be found in your server profile folder.
If you're unfamiliar with editing json files, you can use this tool [simonvic.github.io]
For more info about server constraints, give a look at this tutorial [simonvic.github.io]
if you're running into any incompatibility issues, please try out sVisual 2.0 (experimental), which should be compatible with virtually all other mods https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2863300519
It's already stable and safe to use, I just haven't found the time to update the main branch of sVisual :)
Since DayZ 1.21 a static define is automatically generated for each mod; you can use sVisual (it's case sensitive)
