As a lover of your napoleonic france mod, I must inform you that the last update of the mod has a problem that french imperial guard has settler unit icon instead of its own one. This really interrupts to enjoy this mod. Also, the ability that the civilization gets great general when it declares war was really fascinating too. Especially the historical names of the generals. Do you have any thought to restore that ability for napoleon? I will be really glad if you do.

Update: I think the issue happens when both this mod and JFD's Carthage enabled. I found in CharthageDido_GameText.xml, there is a tag 'TXT_KEY_MOD_JFD_FRANCE_NAPOLEON_DESCRIPTION'

When selecting civs in game setup, I see the UA description is brokon for NAPOLEON (It shows TXT_KEY_..)
any ideas how to fix?

Adding to the pile of people mentioning Louis XIV's ability doesn't work properly. Even with no other mod active, the buttons are blank and do nothing. Unfortunate since it is a cool design. The chateau providing WLTKD does work though at least, so I guess it's still an overall buff over BNW France.

Maybe you should make clear that the mod also improves Napoleon's France in the title. Your new Napoleon is RADICAL, slightly op when his UUs join the party but it makes up for the slow start. Very enjoyable to play Nappy in a military way with UUs of his army rather than going cultural with boring musketeers and chateaux.

When i play Louis XIV with the mod "cultural diversity" it makes me start as a colonial civ, does anybody knows how to fix that ?

I've dug through his dialogues and traits ... It's not Louis XIV it's Kuzco from the Emperor's New Groove but snobbish

I dowloaded this mod (as the others from JFD), but the unique ability of Louis doesn`t work :(
I have 3 blank buttons in the city view as the previous author here, but there`s no info which buttons for which great person. So I cannot use UA :(
PS I don`t have community patch, so this mod doesnt` work without patch?

So does anyone else have 3 random buttons at the bottom of their UI in the city view for this mod? I have a lot of other JFD mods but only this one has the 3 blank buttons in the city view....any help?

First off I love the mod, second I've tried a few things like reinstalling the mod but everytime I start a game with Louis XIV the intro description is Napoleon's but everything else is fine. Does anyone else have this issue?

I reached a point where 3 civs declared war on me, and on one specific move, whenever I attack one Ship of the Line, the game crashes. Are there any incompatibilities with other mods that might result in this behavior?

As there is often 2 or 3 civ mods for a civilization (Russia, Great Britain or England, Soviet Union, USA, France...) in your collection, could you *please !* add a... gallic civilization ? Because the others I find on the workshop aren't that... perfect :D and your mods are.
So, could we imagine the Gaul ruled by Vercingétorix, with a yellow or white boar on dark blue or green, with this UA : (Druidism Legacy) + 1 culture and + 1 faith for cities with unimproved forest case, + 1 Production for Gold, Silver, Gems, Copper and Iron resources.
UU : Coureur : archer unit that remplaces the Crossbowman, can gain the Carnyx promotion : + 25% Fight in your territory for 5 turns, moves faster in forest cases.
UB : Nemeton, unique building, 2 Gold maintenance, + 2 faith, + 2 Culture, + 1 Gold for Gold, Silver, Iron, Gems, Copper and Iron, buildable at Philosophy.

Could it give you ideas ? An answer or an other proposition will be cool :)

Thanks for your mod but i have two questions:
- Napoleon is automaticely remplaced when you active the mod?
- Is the new napoleon considered as mod? If I active "only mod civilizations", will he be playable?

How does the UA of Napoleon works? I declared war on a civ multiple times and nothing happen ;(

Someone on Civfanatics was saying you need the Community Patch for the buttons to work right. However that same mod says it doesn't play well with the Events & Decision mod. Frankly I'd rather go with the E&D mod. WIthout the CP mod, though, if you know artists it to the left and writer is to the left and musician in the middle, will the buttons still work?

Is there any work around to get the buttons to work but still enable E&D?

Someone mentioned an Egypt mod. I second that. But I think Thutmosis III would be the most apt. Egypt's greatest pharaoh:

@ Mr. Worldwide, Napoleon was very concerned with culture. Ever visited France's Egyptian Antiquities in the Louvre? Napoleon had a whole militia of Archaeologists with his Army going down with him into Egypt. Egypt was a strategic location for Napoloen BUT it was also in the mind of the European consciousness that there was a 'Secret Egypt' in which to garner as much from its past as possible. Napoleon was very aware of this, and willing to pursue and write his name in history for the secret lore of Ancient Egypt.

@JFD, I had some problems with your mod in which I am not Napoleon, but the AI is. Upon declaration of war against France, I was given a Napoleonic General. I looked at your LUA code and rewrote it as follows and it seemed to work both ways (if you are or are not Napoleon):

Whats the current version of this? I find that im having trouble updating it, so im stuck on version .2 - My problem is that it simply doesnt update when I click the update button in-game, any advice on how to fix this would be much appreciated.

This should definitely be vanilla. France has changed so much of the course of the years it is only fitting it gets multiple different leaders. Napoleon does not fit vanilla france as a leader at all, and even then, you could easily add charlemagnes and charles de gaulles as new unique leaders if you wanted.

You know what you should do since you split the French between Louis XIV and Napoleon...add a third leader in Charles du Galle with the Free French as a unique marine unit and for a second unique unit either a Mirage to replace the jet fighter or a unique building that represents the Fourth/Fifth Republics.

I just intalled this mod today and noticed right away that Louis XIV's opening background and description would be that of Napoleon's if your language is anything other than English. Please fix. Otherwise a great mod.
