I did a Midway mission with the SBD and the F6F as an escort with my ww2 community, and they worked quite well.

Hey Fal. I was using the F6F from Secret Weapons. I'm honestly not sure why it isn't working. I'll land perfectly fine and simply skip past the wires, as if they're not even there. Maybe it has to do with me trying it in multiplayer?

HI there Lemon! What plane are you using, and from what mod?
Some airplanes don't really work with MAAS, as I tried to land a Spitfire in it (it didn't work).
Make sure to be using Secret Weapons or Flying Legends. I'll check out how they work now with MAAS, but if you're not using these mods, the answer might be that the mods have some kind of incompatibility with the wires from MAAS.

Trying to use this on my own, but the wires are not catching the tailhook when I deploy it. Using the MAAS tailhook and everything and have not touched the carrier in any way. Would definitely appreciate some help, thanks!

Hi Razer! Make sure you're using the Tailhook from MAAS and not one integrated with the plane you're using.

I've been using this carrier with Secret Weapons and it worked perfectly with MAAS. Sometimes there's some weird stuff going on. Maybe the game didn't register your tailhook, as doing this kind of things might not be that normal for ArmA, at least in the way it is done.

I want to ask, why when I landed perfectly and smoothly and used the tailhook on the carrier why couldn't the Tailhook catch the wire? Can you help me?

Hi Ahjo. Could you tell me from what mod is that Hellcat? FOW probably?
And with the MAAS, you need to use Ctrl-Shift-M to deploy the tailhook and get the arrest cable from the carrier.

How do you take off this thing with a hellcat? The plane is just bouncing around and takes damage.

How do I use the cables.

Ctrl+M just says that MAAS is not deployed or too far away.

Making a walkable/usable LST would be quite difficult, as ArmA 3 engine is known for having a lot of limitations. So, no promises, but we'll check it out.

There's a fuel tank that you can use with Ace, and was made with that in mind.
When it comes to rearming, you can put some boxes that you can grab and, again with Ace, rearm the vehicles. That's the only thing that came to my mind

thanks I got it to work only suggestion I can think of is to make a way were it can re arm and repair and refuel on the carrier other then that it works great thanks for your guys work this is awesome.

The only other major pre-war carrier that operated in the Pacific to survive through the war was USS Saratoga. It's sister ship, the Lexington, was sunk at the Battle of Coral Sea. Post-war had little regard for creating museums of these ships. The Saratoga was one of the targets at the Bikini Atoll nuclear bomb test in 1946. She's a popular diving venue these days as she is only sunk in 50ft of water.

The only Yorktown-class carrier that survived WWII and that participated in almost every single major naval operation in the Pacific. Yorktown was sunk at Midway and Hornet during the Guadalcanal campaign. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough support to make a museum of it after the war and she was broken up for scrap. What a waste.

The way to make you hook on the aircraft carrier is SHIFT + CTRL + M in the normal configuration of the mod.

ok got it to place normal but not sure how to get caught with the hook im using the sbd dauntless from secret weapons I dont seem to have an option to get the hook down or request landing on the carrier.

Yeah. Akagi has some good health in the Naval Legends mod. We'll make a composition for the Akagi soon, but it can't be destroyed lol.
Btw for the record, this carrier can't be destroyed, as it will just bug everything. I don't recommend you to try it hehe.
Now, for the akagi, a plane crashing into it will destroy it almost instantly. You can try spawning it with lower health, and that might help

I tried making a scenario with this but apparently the akagi is a god or something. Took multiple torpedos and bombs before I gave up lol.

Only had mods required and everything was messed up. The deck was floating high up when first placed, and the wires were under the carrier. Is this supposed to happen, and if not, how do I fix it?

Im assuming everything is not supposed to be floating above the aircraft carrier? The deck is floating above while the guns are slightly off.

You can find this in the group section, or compositions/f2, in editor assets (the top right part of editor). Go to custom in the group sections (Next to props). You can find it there. Took me a while to find it so im commenting this.
