@X_MasterDave_X Hey MasterDave, I might have a similar situation, my icons are working fine but the game always crashes at some certain time. The crash log says the game couldn't find some texture files from this mod. Did you experience the same? And that Save Buttons mod, do I need to start a new save to avoid the possible crash?

When i deactivate it, all your Version Icons are visible again.

By the way, beacuse of my crashes with the new Version Save Button.

The modder put the Buttons on the top of the Window. Since i use this Mod, no more crashes after time.

Seems i get a new bug now since yesterday. Now also the other Versions of every tank/Plane isnt visible in the list to chose. So, if i want to give my new german Panther Tank V Version a new Picture, i only get the old generic pictures from HoI4. Not anymore seeing the other Versions of your mod. Really loved it to give every new Version another look before.

Are you still updating this Mod, Freezer?

Part 3:
I really hope you still work on your fantastic mod, and i would really appreciate if you could update your mod, to this new features, with the new save your own Variant Buttons. Hopefully the crash bug is then always gone.

Part 2:

I got since the newest updates from Paradox now crashes when i need to modernize my planes or tanks. Usually when i click on the "change" Button of that Plane or Tank. --- But as i said...not at once...or always...often after some 30-40 Minutes of playtime. Like a overflow error that let the game crash after some time.

Now i am not 100% sure, if this crashbug is related to your mod, but i think it has a very good chance to be the reason for it. Especially as the new buttons arent there, but still the old one, that shouldnt be there.


By the way, i found a way to prevent the crash. Whenever i need to make a new variant, because my company got enough money to chose something new for the Plane/Tank Company....i save the game. After the save it NEVER crashes. But when i forget to save...after some time..and when i click the change variant Plane/Tank Button...crash to desktop!

Hello Freezer, really LOVE your Mod. One of the Mods i use since years, and i couldnt live without it.

But i fear with the newest Update, we have a severe problem/Bug. With your Mod, i still get the old Button "Historical" to chose what "historical Planes" i want to use, or design my own Planes. But with the newest Paradox Updates, now this Button should be gone, and 2 Menu Buttons should be there that let you save now own templates, for all games, and load them if you want them, even in new games you start later.

The problem is not only that this new 2 Buttons arent there, but the old one called "historical", but this seems to create an crash bug. Unfortunatly this crash doesnt hits every time....only after some minutes or even hours of play.

Ehi, love your mod! I have one very minor issue though. Very immaterial but it goes against my ocds. The UK truck has a white square instead of the side window. Almost embarassed to bring something like this up, but it would be great if you could fix it <3

Recently, I took it upon myself meaning to make a private update to this mod for Brazil only, borrowing heavily from the USA's icon library.

Now that I have done it, I gotta say I'm very impressed at your mod for what it accomplishes.

Looking at it from above, it's just an absurd number of icons to be organized in over 30 different nations, not including the Generic icons which have substantial variety of its own.
Never mind that you had to source each individual icon to begin with, to have done that And made them work in the game is some Serious hard work.
Perhaps, as you worked on it for these years, you've developed some streamlined scripting and artwork techniques, or got accustomed to the process. Either way, it is Fantastic! Very Well Done!

What happened guys, 17 thousand subscribers? From where? This mod has had about 8k for more than 3 years now!

Note this otherwise awesome mod seems to break other mods that modify designers (for example by adding module slots), such as extended tech tree 1960. I found this the hard way but fortunately this only impact the player, IAs can access those modules slots as normal, so my game is not lost :D

Maybe you should mention this in the description!

While mongolia and tannu tuva have SOV equipment in the research tree, they are not available in the tank and aircraft designers. could the soviet icons be added here as well?

It is possible to add / duplicate icons for releasable countries? For example, SOV icons for all tags (KAZ, BLR, GEO, FER etc.), Yugoslavia icons for the tags of its republics, ENG icons for Scotland, Wales, etc.?

@Freezer thanks for the explanation, i know its basically impossible with countries like that. however, the different american factions actually have unique country tags in the civil war is caused by going down the socialist/communist path. Confederate states is "CSA", and Unaligned is "USB". It is similar to how Vichy France has its own unique tag now and isn't just D0# anymore.

@Freezer. A bug i seem to have found is that the 3d models of the planes seem to disapear. Germany for example only has the fighter 1 3d plane model. The models for Cas of fighter 2 have disapeared from the game. The screen were you select the 3d model has also moved to the bottom left of the stats screen in the plane designer.

Main problem there is in case of the civil wars countries loose their original country tag (GER, ITA, SPR) and recive a new tag like (D01, D02, D03) and in every game they diferent. For example in case of the italian civil war one part of Italy will recive ITA country tag and other will have D02. But in the next game they will recive D03 or other bcs its dynamic country tag. So "conditions" like "original_country_tag" or "have_focus_tree" nessesary for countrys to have not generic icons bcs they depends on country tag. But now they didn't work anymore, tnx to pdx spagetti code

@Erwin unfortanatly pdx removed all "conditions" like (if, or, else) from interface files so its now imposible to add any scripted conditions. Have no idea why they did it.

Curious, when I use your mod most of my 3d model choices disappear. For example GER plane models are almost all gone. I've made sure no conflicting mods when testing. I have some understanding of the gui gfx, etc... files. Are a lot of the 3d files not tagged any more?

Added 39 new US jet planes icons such as:
-F2H-2HN Banshee
-F-84 Thunderjet
-F-84F Thunderstreak
-F9F-5 Panther
-A-3 Skywarrior etc.
-Dynamic Version Numbering fixed

@AstroCat i dont have that dlc so idk. I will look at equipmentdesignerview tooday.

I assume your mod would override the new soviet DLC changes?
Also seems the patch updated the equipmentdesignerview.gui file. Maybe take a look?
