We all have to be patient until Mlie gets to updating this mod. It's on their to do list; they're updating hundreds of mods for 1.4

Yeah, this mod isn't functioning in 1.4. Pawns become stuck standing in place whenever I put a fishing spot down

Please Update, LOVE this mod, I have based entire games around fishing as the only food source. Would love to see this updated!

Vitvox is right. This is best mod for fishing. You won't believe how many times fishes from this mod saved my colony from starvation in cold biomes like Ice Sheet and Sea Ice. Plus fish meat was a prime resource for making fertelizer to make rich soil in such climates.

Dragonisser, I think it's just how it's affected by terrain just changing, is all. Vanilla issue, I guess.

Is there some way to prevent the fishing spot to be destroyed when water freezes/unfreezes? Every spring/winter i need to place an ice or normal fishing spot.

Extreme desert oasis seems to have an odd fishing table - pulling sturgeon ect. This is modded stuff, so not sure its on the radar to be looked at.

Previously, I intentionally disallowed seafood both vegetables and carnivores meal. But with this patch, seafood can now use for carnivore meals.

I reloaded the game yesterday and all works fine lol, only the carnivores meal x1 and x4 don't accept the seafood.

I have a strange bug, when the dev mode its off, both the spot for fishing and fishing in ice disappear, when dev mode is enable the fishing spots works without disappear.

don't have any red error in log when this whappen, only a mensage of DSGUI maybe its the vanilla UI mod.

Patch for Carnivore fine and lavish meals is broken as there is no option to use seafood.

i had been patching it on my end, but now both Vanilla Expanded and Combat Extended added patches that break the method i had been using, so it'd be preferable to make the change on this end, adding native support for non humanlike workers.

if not, fair enough, i can always post my own version

its not an optimization, its to allow pawns without a skilltracker to use the fishing functionality, working animals, etc

@Ogliss As you said, this mod may needs some code optimize. However, I'm not working on the latest RimWorld right now, so I'm not going to changes any code unless there's a serious issues.

any chance you can null check the pawn.skills references in JobDriver_CatchFish.MakeNewToils, prefereably something like

Ok, well this helps a little. My primary issue is I can't use the seafood when cooking VGP recipes even though they are clearly enabled and can be used as an ingredient.

Ok nevermind I think I know what's going on. So you can't use seafood when making meals a stack at a time because that comes from mass cooking... Ok I figured out my problem.

I cannot make fine meals with seafood meat. The UI shows it as enabled but it does not work. I have RimCuisine 2 I think that's the only food modifying mod I have not including this one.

I can't use seafood in any VGP recipes and I'm very disappointed the recipes were removed.

@Si-Cafe Apologies for the delayed reply. It seems that Steam didn't notify me about new messages for this particular mod.

About the XML error, you're correct. It wasn't your mod, but another mod that added more recipes. Thank you for looking into it. If you'd like, I can delete my previous message.

About other RF mods, this is perfectly understandable given how many mods you already have authored yourself. Hopefully someone else will pick more of the "Rainbeau" mods and patches up at a later time. In my opinion, they're of high quality, for some unmatched to this day and definitely worth maintaining.

More importantly, thank you very much for reviving RF's fishing mod and adding so many compatibility options to it. I'm positively delighted that I still can enjoy them on 1.3 of the game.

Could you maybe be convinced to also have a look at other RF mods that still lack updating ? I'm mainly thinking of this mod :

I won't go into details, but I truly enjoy how the different parts of RF mods all interoperate with each other, and I'm not yet willing to give up on them to adopt much drier "modern" alternatives.

Thanks for your answer. I totally understand. Your mod works great with Fertile fields, so that's ok. Just thought I could use something more simple for water in game. Thanks again for your work:steamthumbsup:

@созерцатель Sorry. This mod is not recommended for fishing on artificially water floor.
Some of them can be fixed with patches, but "Lakes mod" has a problem with defName. (The lake does not contain the definition name "water") It takes a lot of work to make it fishable.
