There is an island map for B42 but its very dense and doesnt have much going on. Its for wilderness runs. Called Island Z

Dude, the hundreds of runs I've had in Kingsmouth've made this lil' isle my slice of home. It'd be sick if it got updated for B42

Does anyone know what the spawn rate is on the normal kingsmouth map? I want to try to have my sandbox be as similar to the original challenge map as possible.

This map is good but may not working with eris_minimap ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1619603097 ). I can't see map with in that mod.
The mini map itself is working just does not work with that mod.

Sorry for the misunderstanding! After a decade of playing the game I am starting to forget particulars.

I think I will do something like this with all the challenge maps. Thanks for your suggestion.

p.s. It's crossed my mind to take the cabin map game mode and expand on that for other maps as well.

ah sorry, I meant knox county as in the one from the 'you have one day' challenge. I'd love to be able to play it without the challenge mod

As of January, foraging worked fine-

There's not many zones though as the island is very small, most is parking lot / street. As far as I know the map is fully updated with the default game files.

Could you upload a picture of what your zones look like when you have the map open with admin mode on?

Do you have any zoning or foraging related mods?

I will test on multiplayer myself when I get the chance.

Is there something to do to make foraging work? I saw someone else asked and you shared a picture. I am on a server with the mod now and there are zero foraging zones, no road, no urban, nothing.

map works completely fine, zombie count entirely dependent on your preset

Safe to assume this doesn't have the thousands of zombies right cause it's for sandbox mode?

this is a standalone map, it is entirely separate from Kentucky

Did the author consider building a road to connect Kingsmouth with Riverside Town?

@Line You also do realize that this is the sandalone version of the map and isn't on the regular game map like the Kingsmouth in KY version, where you also asked permission, right?

It's not really my content, it belongs to the developers. It can be found in the local game's files.

I would highly advise against repackaging my mod though, as it causes potential issues for users. This mod needs to be updated along with the base game's files, when content is repacked it is almost never maintained.

That being said, the forest zones are extremely small on the map. In admin mode, open the interactive map and you can toggle on the forest zone visuals. Hope this helps.

Does foraging work on this map? It doesn't seem to be working on our MP server.

if hosting mp, make sure the map is present in the map load order, remove KY entirely

Despite lowering zombie population and the values there's still lots of them by the biggest buildings.

also i think some of the spawn points need to be updated since the level limit changed
might have some starting player inside microwave or counter, etc

Try lowering your starting curve as the spawn values in the default presets may still be too high. I have 0 control over what zombies spawn, as it is entirely handled via your sandbox settings. If you're using high/ very high presets without further adjusting values, spawning and or playing on Kingsmouth will not go according to plan. You'll also experience very poor performance near the resort and military base.

Don't forget, the map is small. You could probably fit half a dozen of them in Louisville.

I will attempt to come out with a few presets that are a bit more geared towards smaller maps for user convenience, I'll also consider moving those handful of spawns that put you in the open based on if I receive more negative feedback. (Ideally, I'd like to see a copy of your sandbox settings.)

(Resort, Shooting range sidewalk, x2 Neighborhood sidewalks, pool spawns should be O.K.)

If the new spawns are too difficult or inconvenient, try using the "Original Challenge Spawns Only" pack.

Yep! It's not meant to be easy. Specifically the sidewalk spawns and near the resort kitchen are really awful.

Theres zombies in and around the spawn that kill me almost instantly.
