I was wondering if maybe I could contact you to ask something regarding your mod? Is there any Discord I can join or any user I could contact you?
Thanks in advance, and love ya mods!
Thanks. You can try sending it to me@beyonddisbelief.com or publish it as a submod. The first option I probably won’t get to it for a while until the next time I update. The second option you can maintain control over the localization, and it’s pretty common for localization mods to be separated published as a submod.
IIRC the way I set it up the two foci only add a few levels immediately, the rest are a result of quasi-AI priority to building forts over time. I feel a player-controlled Benelux need that to be able to have a chance to survive, and IIRC they should be in-line with the Czech instant forts.
If the issue is with the instant forts I'm not fully sure what to do. But if the issue is they're hitting level 7-10 forts too soon then I can look into reducing the AI build queue.
idk its just annoying having to fight fort spamming belgium because they did a couple short focuses
As for Socialism, Isolationism, Supreme Leader - that's just called North Korea, Chairman Kim.
Saddly i think MIO's are their own thing different from the Dis.Comp, since they are closer to a general in terms of mechanics . (Which would also explain why your mods works as intended for the Dis.Comp under "Industrial Complex", as it didn't become a MIO category like the rest).
(Also, thanks for the time you are giving to this silly problem of mine
I don't see any reason this mod would affect MIOs, but you can consider disabling my other mod "Better Design Companies" to see if that helps.
I don't know if MIOs code is smart enough to adapt to custom design companies or if I would have to overhaul the other mod entirely and I have no plans to look into AAT in the near future.
'Going to check something real quick, as i want to make sure that another mod isn't repsonsible for this ( it only ad a single Company, but just in case...)
There shouldn't be any conflict with vanilla design companies or with this mod since the design companies aspect of this mod only activates if my other mod is ALSO activated.
However, I realized Finland got a national focus now so my previous historical design company changes for them in the other mod is obsolete, so I will be updating a fix for that.
What's is happening is that the Design Companies (or Military Industrial Complex in A.A.T) don't seem to appear in the list of MIO's that you can choose from, but it work as expected for thoses related to Indutrial Complex( probably because it is using the base Designer system, not the A.A.T one.)
I'm sadly not sure which one could be causing this: if the Companies you can unlock in the tree depend on "Better Design Companies", then it is the more likely cause.
(Sorry for bothering you with this, it's not breaking the game but i prefer report this just in case.)
A little surprised if it is this mod specifically. I won't have time for a full play through in the near future, can you give me a bit more details on the conflict so I can look into the best way to fix it?
As for how to design your own, I first started with the concept of wanting government structures to be more modular and "shapeable" through focus branches. I plotted out a lot of ideas on excel spread sheet first - it doesn't have to be excel, but the ability to 2-dimensionally move ideas around was convenient for organizing and Excel is a software I already had and not need to pay for a dedicated flow chart app to organize.
It went through a lot of conceptual revisions as I rearranged things. I did not start with any of the detailed code/mechanics until I have 95% of the tree fleshed out. The actual mechanics all got coded in at the end. This was how I maintained the thematic flavor and progression I wanted.
Flags GBFT as created for 1.11.x, not rcp though
Did you skip a version in your play through? I wonder if its possible that you never downloaded the latest version of this mod and if you skipped a game version this mod is flagged as outdated and steam never downloaded the latest version of the mod for you.
