Just played in someone's server who had the Explorer XP and MAN what a beautiful craft. Its just the right size and you don't need a big crew to be efficient. Love it.

For those wondering why the RFR's crosshair and zoom doesn't work.

Open it up in the editor, move the railgun, delete the camera hidden behind the railgun and the camera's wire connection to the periscope.

Periscopes will only every show the crosshairwhen it has a single position_out

The railgun on the Rapid-fire Railgun (RFR) variant of the Hammerhead does not have a crosshair which makes it very hard to aim

at deranged dragon just open the sub editor and click the glass and increase the HP of the area to same as rest of the sub

Another thing I've noticed is that the Enemy targeting attacks the weak glass in the helm. Could we get a shutter?

For some reason the keycard button on the interior of the helm reverts into a normal button, leaving me locked inside unless a crew member decides to open the door for me

Hi, for some reason my camera drone is always at 0 charge since last run. I think I tried to turn on divert charge and it never receive a command to stop charging the ship. Is there a way to stop this or just anyway to make the drone usable again? I tried discard it and rebuy drone but still didn't work.
For other mod, the only thing I have that can interfere with this is EK Utility but I'm not sure if it's the problem

@Salty Sis' 4U because enemies are also alerted to sounds inside the sub, while we agree the feedback of a system being "ON" is somewhat obscure, we already crammed as much as we could on a single monitor, it doesn't get better than this without phisically extending the whole room and the monitor aswell

How the heck are you supposed to run this thing?
I can't seem to get it to output stable power/heat from the reactor no matter the type of rods I slap in it nor how many.

@RättyDäddy, if you're playing with bots let them manage that stuff by just ordering them to power on the reactor. Remember that junction boxes damage bc of the over power they received from the reactor. So, if you are actually starting the reactor manually, first try moving the right needle far away as possible from the left one, then place the left needle in the required power limit and then the gradually decrease the right one until it matches the required power. This is really bad explanation of how reactors work but that's how it is done, you can message me if you want to know more xd

I have one question and that is how should i power the ship because my junktion boxes are being damaged always and i cant seem to find how to fix that problem. I would be really glad if the author or anyone know a solution to my problem?

@Jomanda please refer to the waning i put in the description for the shuttle bug, for the other issues we have no idea, everything works fine on our end, it may be other mods you have installed that causes this problems, if you do have mods

I have just bought this sub (I tried the T version first) and I am having a some weird things happen.

- The console does not respond. When I type "help", nothing happens.

- The camera drone spawns on the other side of the map and keeps on steering eastward into a wall, no mater what I do. Even when I push it back into it's place, it just keeps moving eastward for some reason.

- The left most periscope in the bridge does nothing at all.

- I still am very new to this game and this sub is the first "advanced" model I tried but I have no idea how to operate the cameras all over the ship.

- When docked I have no access to any of the weapon lockers at all with any character.

And finally, I assume in the T-model the hanger is not used at all? SInce I cannot open or close it or any of the hatches, but I suspect that may be by design.

Is this all related to the bug mentioned in the post below?

@CUCUMBER_COW @Re_All @igodPL apparently the bug was related to barotrauma itsellf rather than this sub in particular, the issue has been solved in the lastest unstable build, soon to be relased

When i spawned the RFR in the campain it spawned without the shuttles

@ToastyCosty Same problem with error "Something went wrong when loading...." I think that the error is somehow connected with the function of transferring items and spawn points. Without transferring items, the error does not occur. Тested on T version and XP.

When I bought the sub it said "Something went wrong when loading a linked submarine - the save didn't include a world position, a linked port or position relative to the main sub." and the modular bit didn't spawn in. Any fix?

Haha, I thought so but had to try. :steammocking:

I did see the room in the cargo module, but I wasn't sure if that was the brig because of buttons on both sides. Just noticed that they require IDs. :steamfacepalm:

I'll see about editing this myself, I hope I don't break anything, I'm still not knowledgeable enough about the editor to understand how these "moving modules" work.

@Kov thanks for your suggestions, however:
- we can't add more diving suits due to no more avaiable electricity outputs to make them recharge oxygen
- item storage is already plenty, adding more would be overkill
- a brig is alredy present in the "hammerhead - T" variant
- as you said, space in the cafeteria is already abysmal

While you pose valid points, we are already at a limit on how much stuff we can shove in a single sub, that said we encourage you to customize or create your own version that fits your playstyle and desires!

My message being over 1000 characters should tell me I'm asking for too much, but there were a couple of items more :steamfacepalm::

- A brig/holding cell, which I reckon could be added to the left of the top airlock.

- Some usable chairs by the table in the break room, but there's also little space here...

Top tier sub, I will certainly be using it.

If I may, I'd like to ask if it could be possible to add some things:

- A diving suit in the medical room, maybe expanding the room a little to the left to fit it.

- Some for the gunnery room, but it's probably not possible to fit them properly. Maybe a third suit in Upper Mid instead?

- One for the reactor/engine room would be nice, as there is some room available already and some to expand, but the amidships is easier to reach anyways.

- Item storage for these diving suits, but especially for the already existing ones in the Amidships and Upper Mid. One locker or cabinet next to and/or paired with a letter/number to each diving suit locker would help people organize their inventory before going to do whatever they need the suits for, and not mix it with others'.

Hello, I really like the new variants of the Hammerhead that you have made and I have used this submarine a lot during my campaigns. There is one mod that I find really underrated that not many people seem to use because it requires a little editing of the subs in the editor. I made it myself for my campaign but maybe you can help the visibility of this mod (if you find it interesting) by making a variant with this system already implemented? R-29 Hammerhead (Telecommunations variant) or something like that. Anyway, have a nice day

The glass window and monsters tearing through it is really fun but did give me a interesting idea for an option of an retractable shutter to cover the window for protection. Me and my two buddies are having lots of fun with this submarine and just wanted to give my thanks!

Ok so I tried what you said and changed the signal to proxy lock but it didnt make it dock.
So I turned the problem upside down and instead of trying to dock with the mule drone I modified the camera drone to have two racks like the mule drone and It worked like a charm !


The problem then is that I also wanted to have a way to access the drone from inside the sub and so at the beginning i just cut a hole in the sub and put a ladder to the drone. I wasnt very satisfied as it was not really practical nor """pretty""". So I motivated myself and made a new room entirely. It turned out pretty well (atleast I'm happy with it). Anyway I'm so glad I tried this, I learned so much in the submarine creation process !

@Gimli the signal check component at the bottom of the MULE drone (it's covered by structures, so disable them in the submarine view to see it) is set to target the signal "camera lock", change that to "proxy lock" and it should dock
