Fixed it by deleting Civ5ModsDatabase.db located in Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/cache.

This is the only mod I have subbed to that doesn't show up in the mod list. Any particular reason why that might be?

I'm having some weird glitches. Nothing that's stopping me from playing, but the action commands aren't right (such as having air strike for move, pillage as fortify, and perform concert as settle for the settler), and a huge list of upgrades that stays around on every unit that never goes away. Also, the game briefly goes 2D when units move. That aside, I'm having fun, and can only imagine future possibilites once the late game comes around.

@bouncymischa it may well be something specific to gods and kings in the way unique buildings are set. i just picked up BNW and i can see the Taisha on the tech tree now. imm save that playthrough though- i know this is my kind of civ, full stop.
(Seeking)Eye Dec 9, 2016 @ 5:18pm
@bouncymischa: i do not know for certain,. wish i did so i could more easily point it out.
bouncymischa  [author] Dec 9, 2016 @ 5:05pm
@Touwaku: I'm glad you enjoyed it!

As for the Temple/Taisha issue... I wonder if BNW changes the technology required for Temples, so I may have put a Tech requirement for the Taisha that doesn't exist in G&K? I'll have to do some double-checking...

I gave this mod a spin last night while playing gods and kings (don't have brave new world). i REALLY like the connection of Religion plus technology on this one. it was quite a ride. staving off the mayans while the bretonnians tried to destroy my own religion- it made religious warfare REALLY something based on how i built my stuff.

i had one problem though and i just noticed it. ive noticed that with the mod on the temple (and by proxy the Taisha) vanishes entirely from the tech tree. so i didn't have it in my corner.im not sure why but i know for a fact that when the mod is off, the Temple is there.

I've just played several playthroughs with this Civ using the Barbarians Evolved Mod on Nightmare mode and this is awesome! Thanks for making it, tons of fun!
bouncymischa  [author] Sep 3, 2016 @ 6:48am
@Laslo: I'm not entirely sure what causes that, but the most likely culprit is the fact that the Steam workshop downloader is pretty finicky at the best of times. One flaw I've noticed is that if you navigate away from the mods page in the middle of a download, it'll get interrupted but never restart or continue -- the game thinks "the mod is successfully downloaded", even if it's never been unpacked. As an alternative, you can try one of the downloader sites that are available, or I can provide a direct download link and you can unpack and install the mod in the proper folder yourself.
Laslo Aug 31, 2016 @ 5:10pm
For some reason, this mod does not show up in the mod list when I have it installed. Is there a reason this might be?
toad_004 Aug 26, 2015 @ 6:36pm
MoriyaText.xml is missing <Gender>feminine</Gender> so the game's text think she's a dude. :steamhappy:

@listeningtomusic67 I just uploaded a new version after DarkScythe caught a bug in my code. Hopefully the mountain bonus should work now!

@bouncymischa
I tried the updated version, and it still doesn't work. All your other mods work fine and everything else with this one does too, except that. It's unfortunate because it would be fun to play as them
ffy857 Jun 1, 2014 @ 8:13am
Currently, I am subscribed to all three of your touhou civs, but i have encountered an issue. all of your civs appear in the mod selection screen, but they do not show up in the civ selection screen. I have played a game with the human village before, but now none are choosable. I do not have BNW so i am only running G&K.
Thanks
bouncymischa  [author] May 31, 2014 @ 10:31am
@listeningtomusic67: My apologies. :P I'm actually working on revising that part of the trait so that mountains now provide a passive bonus, rather than needing to be worked. The updated version should be up soon!

ANSWER ME OR PERISH INTO THE OBLIVION
Child_Is_The_Father_Of_The_Man May 25, 2014 @ 6:49pm
So do you have to wait until the mountains are the only tiles left to work? Right now they are functioning like regular mountains that are unable to be selected.
Inquisitioner May 19, 2014 @ 10:56pm
Awesome, loving the swordsmen most of all.
RaozSpaz Apr 21, 2014 @ 8:29am
@Tocheck: I havent used that mod. The only mods I am currently using are the mods created by Mischa (the Moriya Shrine one the most). I havent tested it recently and maybe its been fixed or my computer is done derping (lols). Guess we will find out though.
Toheck Apr 8, 2014 @ 5:12pm
RaozSpaz, I've seen the same thing, with mountains registered as ice, before. I was using the Tectonic map script mod at the time, and think that it may have something to do with the phenomenon.
Pimpjira Mar 13, 2014 @ 3:30pm
I think this mod is a Moriya Shrine conspiracy to make people like the Moriya Shrine more. Really though, this is a good mod. Because Touhou
sadrinfire Mar 5, 2014 @ 8:55pm
Sooooo, anyone else think that they will automatically blame stolen tech on another Moriya Shrine Conspiracy?
bouncymischa  [author] Mar 3, 2014 @ 9:35pm
@RaozSpaz: I hope the other two mods work okay for you, then!
RaozSpaz Mar 3, 2014 @ 9:31pm
Yeah. Making it a passive would probably fix it. And I don't think it was an interference with another mod cause even when I ran yours on its own it failed to work T.T None the less, I still have your other two mods and am looking forward to using them too ^_^
bouncymischa  [author] Mar 3, 2014 @ 9:27pm
@RaozSpaz: Hrm... most likely there's a conflict with another mod that affects mountains, as I had to do some esoteric things to make mountains workable. I'm currently considering revising that part of the trait to become a passive ability (getting yields from mountains without working them) rather than an active one, which may solve some of the conflicts, though.
RaozSpaz Mar 3, 2014 @ 8:56pm
Another thing I just noticed, and this may be the cause of the problem. For some reason (even with just using the Moriya mod itself) all the mountains are being registered as ice. As soon as I tried to play a Vanilla game, they were all showing up as mountains again. Perhaps that is the problem? If it is, I have no idea how to fix that >.<
RaozSpaz Mar 3, 2014 @ 8:50pm
I try to go in and specifically tell the computer to work the mountain and it doesnt do anything. It wont let me. There isnt even an empty circle like there is on most empty workable tiles. Also, the production symbols aren't even showing up on the map in the management screen like most other tiles. I even tried to use the Work Mountains mod and the IGE mod to make sure the tile was mountain and no avail.
bouncymischa  [author] Mar 3, 2014 @ 8:47pm
@RaozSpaz: Currently, the mountains produce that yield when worked by the city -- so it may be that you simply don't have any citizens working those tiles. (The city manager has been rather reluctant to work them, I've noticed...)
RaozSpaz Mar 3, 2014 @ 8:42pm
Hello. I just recently aquired your mod and I was really looking forward to playing it, but for some reason, the mountains dont produce anything like the ability says they should. I don't know if this is a bug/error or if the game is being derpy. Either way, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to maybe fix this or if I could know whether or not it is fixable at all. Thanks for your assistance and looking forward to playing this mod ^_^
Ailith Twinning Feb 26, 2014 @ 3:37pm
Awsome nation.
Icen Feb 25, 2014 @ 7:34pm
@bouncymischa Lol I guess. He/she has been busy in real life is my guess so I can't really do anything else but wait
(Maker of Touhou Civilization Pack is who im referring to just incase you want to know ;) ).

Well in any case hope you bring us more ^_^
Q Dog Feb 25, 2014 @ 7:32pm
:( Its hard to find a good nation mod that will work on with vanilla
bouncymischa  [author] Feb 25, 2014 @ 7:20pm
@Forthencho: It really won't work with vanilla, because it uses the religion system introduced in G&K, unfortunately...

@iCeFrEnZy: Now I'm a bit curious what they would have come up with... I've got a couple more Touhou civs coming that are nearly finished, so I guess we'll have to see if I beat him to any others? X3
Icen Feb 25, 2014 @ 3:52pm
Keep up the good work! Looks like you beat someone I know who was also working on a Moriya Shrine Civ but ohh well (he/she has been off for a two weeks now so yea). :)
Blorem Feb 25, 2014 @ 6:58am
Keep this weaboo bullshit out of civ. You people are just as bad as MLP fans.
Q Dog Feb 24, 2014 @ 7:14pm
Will this work with only vanilla?
Raineh Daze Feb 22, 2014 @ 5:49pm
'Also, thinking about it, I just realized that Pilgramage shouldn't actually help your research -- Kanako's trait only affects the faith output of -cities-, rather than your faith output in total. So while the faith output of terrain and buildings will boost science, faith from things like Pilgramage won't.'

So they're also boosted by universities etc.?
monolithkt Feb 22, 2014 @ 3:40pm
Thanks for the mod. I like it.
The only minor issue I'm currently having is that her bonus to mountain tile cannot coexist with other mod wonders provide bonus to mountain tiles. In ingame editor, two mountain tiles show up (one mountain with wonder mod bonus, other mountain with UA bonus).
Vita ζ Feb 22, 2014 @ 7:19am
So after getting the touhou mods for Civ 5, whenever i enable either Moriya or the Human Village, the scroll bar vanishes in the menu where i choose which Civ to play as. Apart from the touhous i have the Madoka civs as well but this only seems to happen with these two specific Civs.
Grimlet Feb 22, 2014 @ 1:12am
Good job Friend ! I love all Touhou Civ', i can't wait for have a lot of them and launch a game with only Touhou Character *-*

Have you planned to make Flandre Scarlet ? :3
Great Value Blueberries Feb 21, 2014 @ 5:47pm
I'm having a bit of an issue, and I'm hoping I'm just failing to notice something obvious. I open up a modded game and go to choose a civilization, and this civilization is not listed under those that I can choose. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Lost_Legend Feb 21, 2014 @ 5:13pm
How did you manage to get an anime picture in civ, I been trying for ages! :3
bouncymischa  [author] Feb 21, 2014 @ 4:40pm
@Raineh Daze: Yes, I specifically designed the Yamato Swordsman to upgrade to a Musketman, rather than a Longswordsman, so you don't have to worry about managing Iron. :P

Also, thinking about it, I just realized that Pilgramage shouldn't actually help your research -- Kanako's trait only affects the faith output of -cities-, rather than your faith output in total. So while the faith output of terrain and buildings will boost science, faith from things like Pilgramage won't.
Raineh Daze Feb 21, 2014 @ 7:07am
Huh, that's weird. Couldn't make it into a longswordsman, but muskets are fine.
Raineh Daze Feb 21, 2014 @ 6:42am
On a side note, is it normal that I can't upgrade the Yamato Swordsman? I'm in the Industrial age and I'd rather not lose the promotions like that. D:
bouncymischa  [author] Feb 21, 2014 @ 5:46am
Cirno and Suika are both pretty expansionist... :P

I've noticed that it seems to be fairly easy to achieve religious dominance in the game, which is a bit more worrisome. I'm looking at some options to readjust the Faith output for a bit. As for the Science issue, I'm going to wait and see if I get more feedback, but I have considered simply making it "faith from buildings", so that religious bonuses wouldn't apply, or something if necessary. But we'll see. :3

anyways, thanks for the feedback!
Raineh Daze Feb 21, 2014 @ 3:39am
1/4 is quite chunky.

Blame Cirno. She thought it was a good idea to splurge cities everywhere (and this is a Huge map) :p

Aggressive missionaries before other people found religions + Itinerant Preachers (and now I added on being the World Religion) = spreading crazily. It's actually... 58? 59? A few more cities now, anyway.
bouncymischa  [author] Feb 20, 2014 @ 4:09pm
@Raineh Daze: In your current game, then, faith is only adding 41 points of your 186 science, meaning you're getting 145 from other sources, and faith is contributing only about 1/4 of your total science output.

I hadn't really thought about Pilgramage, though -- I tend to default to Tithe for my Founder Belief, as an incentive to spread my faith around. Given how many other cities are following my religion in my current game, Pilgramage might've been an interesting option. Although since Pilgramage only gives +2 Faith for each foreign city following your religion, your numbers suggest you have 55 foreign cities following your religion? That's... pretty impressive. X3

I'll have to give Pilgramage a try myself, and see how it goes. Thanks for the feedback, though!
Raineh Daze Feb 20, 2014 @ 10:14am
Miscalculation, there; it'd be 192 faith.
Raineh Daze Feb 20, 2014 @ 10:02am
Faith: 82. Science: 186. If I'd gone for Pilgrimage instead of World Church, that would be ~136 Faith.

I have no idea about Korea as they don't appear to be an option for me.

Kinda want to see what you'd come up with for Byakuren, honestly. XD
