Update; Raised unit spotting. Raised morale penalties again for rear and flank attacks and total casualties. Raised mass of horses by 15%. Raised speed of horses by 20%.

In other words, don’t change any programming related to battles. Consider adjusted campaign programming, such as upkeep costs.

I love the AI aggression, AI strategy, and the length of battles. My only concern is that the AI with one puny settlement left can still field 4 stacks, meanwhile my Byzantine Empire with 17 settlements can barely field 2-3 armies. This was on normal difficulty. I feel like upkeep costs need to be adjusted for the AI.

Such a great mod, exept AI free armies and upkeep debuffs. I tried playing as Almoravids maybe 10 times, I can barely sustain 2 full armies with full economy investment, but everyone around declare war on me, small factions like Portugal and Valencia, sends 2 armies and Castile sends 4 full armies, theirs units have upkeep of 25 for unit, merc. cavalry upkeep 11, 1 army is totally free, upkeep of 0, even a general have upkeep 0.

I really like changes with buildings, armour, unit size. But it is too much, everyone focus you and have free armies, even if you just defending and do not provoke anybody, I tried playing England as well and despite neighboors are of the same religion, they all declare war on me, even if I pay to Rome POPE and build churches for dip. bonuses.

AI too much focus on killing you at once, if they at least had slight bonus to upkeep, but not FREE armies! =( :steamsad:

Hello, great mod. But it is unbalanced at the moment, because for some reason, eastern buildings that need food, have -0 food, instead for example -7, so there are buildings that bring a lot of gold and consume nothing like food, aslo some town centers do not also consume food and have -0 food. Tested on Almoravids faction.

This is insane what you guys do. This and the 1100 AD mod make this game incredibly fun, and I've never enjoyed a TW before.

What needs to be updated? Beowolf the AI can not make money in Rome 2-that is a fact-If you do not give the Ai any buffs they will not make any armies at all -will not expand and just shrivel up.

Update: Raised chance of of hits in combat. Raised Matched Combat. Kill animation should show more.

UPDATE: Increased morale penalties for flank and rear attacks and unit casualties. Increased AP damage for spears and axes. Increased attack bonus for attacking down hill. Units will now route after 70% killed-no more fighting to the death. Mass routes are now possible if you surround enemy army.

UPDATE: Diplomacy offers will be harder to be accepted. Overhaul of melee weapon and projectile damages. Overhaul of armor and shield values. Ai will defend regions more. Ai will attack settlements more. Lowered player upkeep penalties. Raised Cavalry charge bonus in campaign battles for Ai and Player. Battles will be 35% longer. Save compatible

has there been a change to upkeep costs? i was enjoying this submod and 100 turns in when now i have double upkeep costs on all my units and -20k per turn. very sad! also lots of cav units are no longer working like stannis said.

Hi Bran,
I raised the issue below with Starsmil. He thinks it might be something in your mod. The only other mod I'm using is Teutonic Campaign. Great mods overall but this might need a tweak:

Playing as Principality of Kiev. Weak neighbours I've attacked are offering me absurd amounts of money for a peace deal. One of them, Tmutarakan, had just a single town, Tamatarka. I offered peace if he paid me 10,500. He refused. Next turn he offered me 137,000 (yes, one hundred and thirty seven thousand!) for peace, which I obviously accepted. But such a small factions should surely not have access to such wealth, and to refuse my offer then offer me almost thirteen times the amount is not very sensible.

A couple of other factions have also given me loads of money to leave them alone, so I've now become quite unreasonably rich.

While only using this and the three of the main 1100 mod. In order of this one, then 1100 ad, then part 1, then part 2. on normal difficulty enemy troops are 13 or less cost per turn while mine are 300+. Is this intended? mod sounds great and 1100 ad works without this one. Just cant use it with that immense difficulty of cost.
