Oh, that is annoying. I wonder why that is, since they require industrial tech research to be unlocked.

The game has no native medieval faction, so maybe this decision has something to do with equipment choices on raids and such. Still weird though, cause if I remember right, it would also mean that an actual medieval faction might spawn in with flak or vac suits, which would be odd.

I guess it would require a manual patch to adjust this, but I wonder if there might be unforeseen consequences in doing so.

@DragonKing They are defined as Medieval in the game code, this mod just displays it.

For me, some items like Flak jacket, Flak pants, Kid vacsuit, Vacsuit and Vacsuit helmet get categorized as medieval instead of the correct category, I can try to do some mod testing, but at least in my current setup, this happens even if the only toggle in the settings is to sort by tech level

@daz_ian isn't placing this mod on top himself, this mod just places itself on top of harmony being the #1 mod in load order (I'm using Rimsort) and I have the exact same problem description as @daz_ian has but I haven't tried to boot the game yet

@daz_ian This mod should not be loaded before rimworld or dlcs. Frankly no mods except harmony and performance mods should.

I've found that if this mod is loaded before ludeon.rimworld, it causes tribal pawns (except, it seems, for predefined ones) to have lowercase nicknames and last names, even if these are the only two loaded. Loading this after ludeon.rimworld fixes that. This affects new tribe but not new arrivals (e.g. crashlanded)

Easiest reproduction steps: with the mod list mlie.clothingsorter followed by ludeon.rimworld, start a lost tribe run and click through to character selection; the last names (and nicknames, if not the first name) will be lowercase (e.g. "Trobo 'leopard' cambreibil"). In the other order, they'll be properly uppercase.

Adding a rule to enforce this load order will cause RimSort to have a circular dependency when Cherry Picker https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3521312241 is also loaded: that mod specifies in about.xml that it's loaded after this one, and RimSort's community rules say Cherry Picker should be loaded before ludeon.rimworld.

How is it possible to sort clothing by just one layer? So if I have clothing categories like "inner layer only" and not have items displayed in the category "inner" that are tagged with "inner" and "middle" e.g.

Would it be possible to add the ability to override the category of certain pieces of clothing similar to how you did it for Linkable Settings? There are certain pieces of clothing from other mods that is appearing in the wrong places (I am sorting by only Layer categories) and I'd like to move them to another category (Armored -> Skin (Root)) and the "Low value to count as armored" setting doesn't quite work/isn't granular enough.

@Kerberos Alpha I dont think thats really possible since clothes have different temperature stats depending on their material. For example a thrumbofur duster could have better cold-resistance than a birdskin parka.
You should probably use a mod like Outfitted for a better result.

It would be cool to have the option for categories based on warm, cold, and both protection. I don't know if that's possible, but I imagine it would be helpful for people like me that create clothing policies based on temperature.

@Daevinski Insulation isnt measured that way. Appparel have degrees defined on how many extra degrees of cold and of heat they give comfort to.
So one apparel can be a good for both heat and cold while another only heat for example.

It would be possible to include a slider to filter clothing by insulation? Something simple, from 0% to 100%, just to make it easier and faster to set loadouts for winter and summer.

Now, if there were a combination of these two mods....I've been trying to find a mod that sorts any menu (or filter, maybe) by attributes such as insulation, DPS etc. So I don't have decision paralysis when going through the bill menus.. hence how I found this mod :P I guess I'm talking about Numbers, but for bills! I don't suppose theres a magic setting in this mod, or does anyone know of a mod that does this?

@KiTA i dont know if you know of filter manager, but it's amazing. You can create custom filters for everything - ingredients, clothes etc. The filters also remain across saves

I wonder how hard adding something like "Allow Modest Clothing" / "Allow Non-Modest Clothing" as a checkmark option at the top would be. By default a lot of mod clothing doesn't properly get put in the Nudist clothing restriction list. Would be nice to be able to hit allow all then turn off "Allow Modest Clothing" or whatnot.
