@Jaeger this mod does not work with vanilla drones.

The mod is very good but there is one catch, I cannot have night vision on the drone and I carry night vision in my equipment

Basically if you are playing as NATO, you should use NATO terminal, if as CSAT, then CSAT terminal, etc.

Still can't get this to work tried in the editor using ACE as well can't connect any terminal to the UAV

The portable ar2 in the objects is invisible as well. I really hope this mod can get fixed.

I figured this out. It won't work in the virtual arsenal. You have to either be in the editor or in scenario. Only civilian drones and terminals will work

for some added notes, i can't even use the vanilla and DLC drones even with their matching terminals. The only exception is civilian drones with the civilian terminal. That's the only terminal i can open

@Pastoman1 if you mean any other drone mods, then no this is the only one. But if you mean mods in general, yes a whole lot lol. Aside from various weapon/attachment/gear set mods, the only ones i have for interaction would be all ACE, ACM, BetterIR, CQB weapon stance, GGE weapon swap, Goobin's enhancements canting and core, USAFand webknight's double primary.

can't seem to get the drone connected to any terminal. Even using the ACE, all i can do with it is place it, change batteries and pick it up. No terminal seems to allow me to connect the drone and use it

Can't seem to use this mod.

I have ACE I've tried every possible battery type and every UAV terminal but there doesn't seem to be anything to link the UAV to the terminal so I can't start it.

Great mod. Are there any plans for "add-on settings"?

Some suggestions could be the ability to:
- New drone spawn with a full battery
- Adjust time to deploy or remove the drone
- Adjust time to replace battery

@sovietpeanut173 The lethal drones mod packages its own AR-4 "Portable Drone", which can be carried as an inventory item and then deployed. So there shouldn't be a need for a compatibility.
If you are asking whether Portable Drone ACE Interactions can be used to place AR-4s, then no, only "AR-2/AL-6 (Portable)" drones are affected.
Simple attaching of grenades to a Portable Drone should work without issues though (as it does for vanilla drones), just like it works with the Combat Drones Expansion mod.

@Frost_99 You will have to try it, I personaly don't play Antistasi, so I can't tell you, but there isn't a reason for it not to work. And if you won't by able to find it, then it is not added in the mission. In that case there is nothing we could do about it.

@BOMBARDEEN MARRUECOS :> You both need to have the mod, otherwise the Portable AR-2 doesn't exist from his view, hence why the laser spot you are designating isn't visible to him.
Any mod that adds weapons, vehicles or anything that needs to be syncronized with other players in MP can't just be run client-side. Everyone needs to run it, otherwise you are bound to encounter issues.

Hi, is the laser of the Portable Drone the same one as the Vanilla one? I mean, i use it for Air Strikes with Laser Guided Missiles. I have the mod, and the pilot doesnt, i use laser and he cant fix the laser because he does not have the mod. My question: if we both have the mod, could the pilot fix the laser and shoot a guided missile to the laser?

It is, the launcher should show you a dependency issue on the mod if you don't have Ace loaded too.

Doesnt show up on misc items? is this mod outdated? are there any known mod conflicts? given i dont have a large mod list..

or is it because i dont have ace installed? is ace a hard requirement now?

Hi, problem solved, it's not Antistasi issue, it's that the ACE UAV battery can only recharge, not pre-charge, the portable UAVs; and we did not distinguish the two batteries, therefore placing the UAV with ACE UAV battery will not "fuel" the UAV.

Hi, it seems that Antistasi Plus/Ultimate doesnt work well with portable drone, in that:
1) All responses by hint is overridden by Antistasi, and checking battery would be fruitless bc of that;
2) Somehow when deploying portable drone with portable battery in inventory, battery is not charged (but can be recharged via ACE interaction)

@Hawkins sounds neat, by max connection distance do you intend to override the vanilla behaviour of unlimited UAV Terminal range? Limiting optics according to a CBA setting should be pretty easily done by running disableTIEquipment [community.bistudio.com] in the place function.

Couldn't find any specific license on here or the Github. Do you mind if I pull your git repo and make a modified version for my unit? It would be uploaded in my unit "Core" workshop mod.

Primarily I'm interested in changing flight times, max connection distance, and optics. I really like the portability aspect of this though.

They were able to join after I disabled the Perm warning (full screen red box) from ACE. They say they have but I am confirming with my players that the BISIGN is 1.1.0.1 on there end because that what it reads in our server directory and my PC.

@ColOddball27 Make sure that they have updated this mod. Sometimes it could happen that steam won't detect the update of the mod. It happend to me a couple of times. The mod could be verified through arma 3 launcher.

Kind of having the same issue with the DRNP_main, its erroring 2 players of about 12 out of a dedicated server saying the server is missing the DRNP_main while other players are able to load in completely fine. We do have the ACE white list system enabled that has a perm warning on the screen Ive disabled that to see if they can actually join the mission.

@tyler60k, you can ignore that, it's because we have changed the mod file structure with the latest update. It was necessary to do these changes in order to allow the mod to move forward.

What he means is that when loading a scenario that has the portable drone, it shows DRNP_main as missing and makes you "force load". The drone still shows up IG on my scenarios so I'm not sure exactly what happened, but that's what he means.
