I have an idea: There's a satellite mod that adds different orbital satellites in late game, could there be a way to let those satellites be functional to block/cancel incoming meteor attack effect if foretasted? If so, it must be the most humanitarian mod ever.:steamhappy:

p0kiehl, do you know if it would even be possible given the game's code to make it so that sacrificing your units decreases your chance of experiencing a natural disaster (i.e. literally appeasing the gods)? I find it curious that Firaxis left that out. It would take some of the sting out of having to sacrifice your own units...which further begs the question why they didn't bother including a mechanic to allow you to capture enemy units and sacrifice them.

I only noted it for you, because when i was just now looking at whether or not i wanted to download this for use, the Diplomatic part made me not want to use it until I saw down in comments it was removed. ;) Thought i'd help, so people don't have an aversion to this mod when it's not in their anyways.

I'd remove in your description the Recommended Mods section, as that was fixed this last Oct patch, as well as, the Diplomatic Victory section, as I see you recently removed that. :)

is there a limit to how high you can set the number of occurences? Im trying to make a super apocalyptic map with comets almost every other turn.

I assume in the Apocalypse_Features.sql, to make the craters have yields, we remove the comment(- - ) next to the delete as well as the insert?

I started a game as gaul, game gave me a really good starting position so I settled right there on the spot.
I hit end turn.
The capital of the newly founded gallic empire gets 360 noscope'd by god.
I get my first non-crash-related defeat since buying this game.
A small village in Nunavut is happy.
this mod gets 10/10 out of 5 stars every mod you make is a goddamn blessing

Great and funny mod, thanks for it! There is nothing like having my Aztec capital sniped shortly after I start farming workers from nearby neighbour. One word: Karma. I laughed hard.

But I'm concerned about Diplomatic Victory tweak. After one of latest updates 'Send an aid' emergency occurs much less frequently, making it almost impossible to win a game this way.
I think it should be rolled back to 20 or at least lowered to 25, give or take.

It is now destroying districts properly, although districts that survived because of the bug remain, but that would be impossible to fix retroactively.

I updated the mod to make Impact Zones unworkable again. That resolved all the issues.

Your comment wasn't entirely correct -

Targeted Comet Strikes were still destroying cities and removing everything. The issue was the random Comet Strikes - when they hit a resource or district, they wouldn't entirely remove it, because the Impact Zone is workable.

Anyway, it's all fixed now. I'd prefer them to be workable, but until I can find a workaround, they'll remain unworkable.

Comets are not deleting districts with this mod. I see a enemy city and encampment that are perfectly fine except for some pillaged buildings.

When I first saw this, I thought: "How much TERRIFYING are you going to make this?" But I love these additions, especially the 1-tile comet strike.
