I made an update for 1.4 of the mod over here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2881724503

Hy Daria40K,

easier as in a lot less lines to write.
Down from the 130 to around 50 per weapon.
And a lot of those can just be left out if you are okay with some stats taken from the weapon it's based off of.
I noticed for example that the tools for the bonded Gun_ChargeRifle were the same on the base version.
So that would be 20 lines you could just leave out.

Gun balance is a fickle thing so that has to be done manually. But the recipe for example can be automated.
Daria40K Oct 27, 2022 @ 2:08am
easier how?

Hey guys,

I talked to the developer and they allowed me to take over the mod.

I am currently rewriting the whole mod to make it easier to patch in new weapons.
This will take a few more days. I will post a link here when I am done.

For some reason some of the persona weapons I have just wont bond (each time I tell my pawn to pick them up I get asked if I want to bond, I say yes, then pawn picks it up and says he can't use it because it's not bonded)

Would this work with Science Never Stops mods?
Felnel Aug 23, 2022 @ 9:48pm
Works with ''Persona Expadend''?
spec02alex Aug 16, 2022 @ 10:31pm
Is it possible to find the persona bond forge in ancient ruins or elsewhere? I am playing a medieval tech only game so I wont be able to research or craft the forge.
TheLionSleepsTonight Jul 29, 2022 @ 6:23am
Just tested this on CE with the base melee swords (mono, plasma, zeus). No issue
Dah Big Bird! Jul 23, 2022 @ 9:37am
Is there a way to make persona weapons rarer? Everyone and their mom seems to have one. Traders sell personas regularly, I found two in an ancient danger, all the Imperials have one, and etc.
Major0Noob Jul 12, 2022 @ 2:55pm
same, non-freewielder weapons are bi-coded to the pawn but the pawn can't use it after dropping it. they can use it while they're equipped tho
Gonb Jun 15, 2022 @ 8:40am
im also having a new issue, weapons become biocoded after each time loading a save and the person they should be bonded to cant use it
Gonb Jun 15, 2022 @ 8:39am
thanks but thats not what i meant, it changed the quality after being equipped and unequipped via simple sidearms
Killer Tamashi Jun 10, 2022 @ 5:28pm
@omnom409
It's because it still counts as "making a weapon" so the quality assigned is random with some bias on the crafter's skill. If you want consistent results not based as much on RNG use https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1542004942
Gonb Jun 7, 2022 @ 10:18am
ive had my weapon change quality again, this time from legendary to good
any idea whats causing this? i dont want to edit the save files every time
the_travisty Jun 1, 2022 @ 6:36pm
First time playing with this mod and I was looking for the best melee weapon to persona bond. Checking out the stats of before and after I wonder if there is maybe a mistake with Laser Sword. Before persona bonding it is at a 97% armour penetration but after making it bonded it drops down to 46%... the extra 4 damage is nice but the armour penetration makes persona bonding it less attractive. Is this by design?
2ScoopsPlz May 29, 2022 @ 3:03am
Seconded. Thanks for making this m8
TorMechia May 7, 2022 @ 12:57am
Holy shit this thread is awful

Nice mod though!
Yinyang107 Apr 30, 2022 @ 6:20pm
This is hella expensive for how little benefit Persona weapons give lol

:( You say back in 1996, and then 30 years ago... Stop making me feel my age!

CE stands for "Compatability Erased".

It's a mod for Stellaris and dates back to 1996, when the community of Corpse Party (PC-98) decided to prepare for the future release of Space Funeral, which served as the second game in the series (the third being Stellaris) by blackmailing the developers of the company into releasing company secrets. It took a lot of effort to make a mod for a game that doesn't even exist yet, but they prevailed and it turned out that it could even be used for the last iteration of the series, RimWorld.

Sadly, as one might guess, using a mod that was made about 30 years ago for a predecessor of the actual game you're using it for can cause compatability issues, especially when paired with additional mods.
Jesus of Nazareth Apr 11, 2022 @ 1:45am
Since the whole ordeal was completely illegal and against all ToS that exist for any of those games, it has been common sense ever since to not mention the full name.

I apologize if the community made you feel excluded, but with this newly gained knowledge, I'm sure not just you, but everyone else who struggled with the hardships of being treated as an outside will feel at ease.

Combat Exteneded is developing auto patchers to make all race, animal, weapon, apparel, and turret mods combatible with CE. Check out the CE development git for the fully fleshed race auto-patcher, and the link below for the Weapon-Apparel-Turret auto-patcher that works great with Persona Bond Forge.

I don't get what the big deal is. It does not matter what ever the context may be, using abbreviations is not user-friendly. It's not entitlement to make recommendations.

And if you say things like 'if you don't know what it is you can just google search it' you're actually supporting the notion that using the full name IS better than using the abbreviation - so why argue?
Kaii Feb 21, 2022 @ 10:27pm
Well, you can interpret what I said towards An Author because I don't like being called entitled for what I said, because I don't think even slightly that what I said means I'm entitled, and when people kept on and on about how I'm the one in the wrong for just wanting the modpage to be more inclusive, I got rightfully pissed off about it.

Seriously. This all started because I just thought that having "Combat Extended" instead of "CE" would be nice, and that apparently is a worse crime than Neo-Nazism or cannibalism to some people if the way they 'valiantly' defended the mod against my entitled ways was any indication.

Honestly, I don't care too much anymore, it's more just for the sake of continuing the argument than anything else at this point, because I still don't understand what's so bad about changing a two-letter acronym into two full words instead. It's literally 13 characters of difference.

I don't know about you, but that doesn't sound so heinous to me.
Jdalt40 Feb 21, 2022 @ 9:42pm
Jesus what a mess
Sir Buggles Feb 21, 2022 @ 6:59pm
If you had actually just left it there, no one would feel the need to say anything further, but rather than dropping it when someone called you entitled, you doubled down and got defensive. Which isn't even the part I really disagree with.

When I replied, I wasn't actually trying to be rude, and I'm honestly sorry if I sounded rude anyway. All I was doing was explaining why I think your idea would be unnecessary. I don't think Johnny Cocas was trying to be rude either, reading what they said, but then you turned around and labeled us people who are "earning internet brownie points by being c*nts".

So, although I am sorry, I don't think you're a victim here. You could've ignored us, responded neutrally, or just respectfully told us you think we're being harsh, but instead you went straight to interpreting what we said as some kind of attack on you and insulting us.
Kaii Feb 21, 2022 @ 2:12pm
Sorry, Mr Pot? Mr Kettle called, he says "You're black."

Seriously, you say that to me, when I said, and I fucking quote, "You might want to actually explicitly state what it is so people don't have to spend a while wandering around trying to figure out what CE actually stands for and possibly making the wrong assumption."

So, a degrading, impolite and generally quite annoying manner. What drugs are you on my friend, so I can make sure to stay the hell away from them.
Profligate Feb 21, 2022 @ 1:13pm
You were writing in a degrading, impolite and generally quite annoying manner.
No one owes you anything, particularly when it's related to a problem you can easily solve on your own within but a few seconds.

Your parents probably feel a deep sense of shame whenever they see you. Grow up.
Kaii Feb 21, 2022 @ 12:05pm
Oh my god you all just...writing Combat Extended instead of CE isn't that bloody difficult, and it's not like I was being rude, I just pointed it out and my reasoning behind the damn thing and why I think writing Combat Extended would be better. But hey, earn your internet brownie points by being c*nts I guess.
Sir Buggles Feb 21, 2022 @ 10:05am
When you google "what is rimworld CE" it takes literally like thirty seconds and you won't get any other answer *besides* CE, so I think that's plenty clear and easy enough to figure out already.

If there were another possible thing that stands for, it's not popular or relevant enough that it comes up with all the Combat Extended results, so logic would dictate it's not what this mod is talking about.
Johnny Cocas Feb 21, 2022 @ 3:30am
People who want to know if this mod is compatible with CE will know what CE means, if people don't know what CE means they won't need to worry about compatibility with that mod because they probably don't use CE, it's as simple as that.
Kaii Feb 20, 2022 @ 11:46am
Entitled, for wanting the mod to be more inclusive? Well, sue me I guess!
An Author Feb 20, 2022 @ 6:43am
My god...people are so entitled these days. Thanks for the mod.
Kaii Feb 16, 2022 @ 5:23pm
Yeah, but the point is that when things start to be too inclusive like that, people who don't know and have to make assumptions like me get a bit screwed over by it =P Plus, writing "Combat Extended" instead of CE isn't super-hard ^.^
Nay Feb 16, 2022 @ 12:49am
@Kaii most people know what CE is, a lot of people on the workshop/forum use this acronym.
Kaii Feb 15, 2022 @ 7:21am
Okay, for those of us not in the know, what the hell is CE? I assume it means Combat Extended? You might want to actually explicitly state what it is so people don't have to spend a while wandering around trying to figure out what CE actually stands for and possibly making the wrong assumption.
Bear Dec 28, 2021 @ 1:54am
It was "Simple Sidearms". In the configuration of this mod, I added references of some weapons to be "used as a sidearm" and once the weapon didn't exist in the game it threw errors. The fix was to remove them from the configuration in mod settings.
Little Tin Soldier Dec 14, 2021 @ 1:00am
Anyone know if there's a patch for rimsenal - augmented vanilla?
Bear Dec 3, 2021 @ 2:36pm
I get a weird set of errors *after* removing this mod whenever I start the game:

Could not load reference to Verse.ThingDef named ... and then a list ob bond weapons from VWE

What do I do to remove this error? Is it loaded in core? I swear there's nothing in local mods folder or in the workshop folder with your number on it. I also deleted the config files and the files under hugs lib.

I'm missing something, pls help.

I'm a bit dissapointed you didnt consider SNS for this, i need my fix of excessive opness
Phakthiam Nov 10, 2021 @ 8:45pm
@Blackjack [®…®] I assume it is because each persona weapon from each mod has to be individually made compatible since personas change their stats
Blackjack [®…®] Nov 8, 2021 @ 5:30pm
Question, what exactly about this makes it non-CE compatible? Thanks!
