Brennal, you probably have had the game installed since before the May update last year. You should go to your appdata folder and delete the scripts folder. That will probably fix the issue. :)

About the names of the new cities not showing up, is this the only mod you're using?
If so, did you recently install the game, or have the game installed for a long time? In May there was an update that broke mods. This can be resolved by deleting the script files in the appdata folder. Let me know if that helps :lunar2019grinningpig:

And like I wrote in the description, adding cosmetic borders to regions is very cumbersome work, something I sadly have never had time for to do. So I'm afraid you'll have to use the tooltip on hovering to see what territory your possible destination belongs to.

Great mod. However, like buddyboggs5, the new city names are not showing up. Also the borders for the new cities are not showing. However I cant pass them without declaring war or MA. But the actual colored border isnt there. Any ideas on why or how to resolve? My game is set to English.

They could not be loading because either your localization (game language) is not set to English, or because you have other mods that edit the same localization file. Do you have a different language set in the game or do you use any other mods?

@Kodex No, unfortunately. I came back here just to look for a patch between the two.

The only solution would be to merge the startpos files for both mods, but this isn't an easy thing to do, to my knowledge.

Hey Snowball, I'm not sure. It's definitely compatible with the unit and building add-on packs. But it might conflict with the start_pos from Radious. Can't hurt to give it a try tho! Worst case scenario you'll get a crash when loading up and you'll have to turn off one of the mods :)

Yeah, it can be and will be. In the next version of the mod I will add train lines and stations in other areas. Every province isn't possible though, since it takes a special resource slot to have a station. :lunar2019grinningpig:

Interesting, I just checked the database using another pack file manager, and I didn't find the entries either. I didn't expect that, haha. But yeah, you could look into modding the database yourself, I'm just not sure if any change you make would be compatible with my mod. But to nerf it, you might find a different value of income from farming. Not sure where you should look though, but there are a lot of variables that can be edited. That might lower the income a bit. If I had more time I'd gladly make another version for you, but sadly, time is in a limited supply :lunar2019laughingpig:

About the fertility levels... There should be an entry in the database. I'm not sure which one, but I believe it's in start_pos_slots. There you can change fertility levels in numbers ranging from 1 to 5 I believe.

Hey there. Ive been playing around with the mod, and its been a lot of fun. Is there a way for me to edit the fertility levels of the map, to nerf Kyushu somewhat (It got up to 50k income by T40), and ive been looking trough the databases, but found nothing indicating fertility levels

Hi Kenny, to be honest, the term "splitting of regions" is maybe not that accurate.
Better would be to say: make a new region for your new castle. In the game every castle is registered to a region, so if you want to add a castle, it means you have to make sure there is a region it can go in. You can do so without adding any farms, ports or resources. But the region is required :lunar2019grinningpig:

It is a bit of a hassle, I agree, but sadly, it's the only way it can be done.
In following his tutorial, you can skip a lot. But you do have to edit the 3d file to create a region for your castle. And you do need to export the regions then and all the settlements.

Jiruri, I want to add more castles in shogun 2 original without adding more farms, ports, resources, new borders, factions, diplomatic changes etc.(similar to your mod or even simpler)

but uanime5's explanation in twcenter is too complicated and contains too much informations that i dont need for my mod.(such as splitting regions and add new factions)

Can you teach me essential things to do that?

My other mod, the balanced one, has an end date in the 1880s, giving you much more turns to work with. The only other differences in that one, are that it increases the starting treasure by a small amount for all factions and finally that it changes the victory conditions to include a bigger amount of territories.

Everything else is the same. So I can recommend subscribing to that one instead of this one. I have this mod for the purists who want 100% vanilla with added provinces. :lunar2019grinningpig:

Great mod, I am running a Jozai campaign with it and a collection of other mods, it's running really well. Since the Jozai replenish in enemy territory, the lack of borders on most provinces is only really an issue in winter as well.

Also, not sure if it's already known but the additional years campaign mod isn't compatible. It's no biggie, but it would be nice to have more time, since there are so many more provinces to capture between both capitals. So, if you play slowly like me, taking and fortifying settlements before advancing, having more time is nice.
