an update would be reallly appreciated. I'm doing a challenge apocalypse run with 2 friends where we have to save the world while WW2 is happening and both Kaijus, Zombies and Cthuluh are going apeshit. Sadly, Our deer eldritch octopus is not operational and doesn't appear on the map for now.

First: This mod is amazing! It is fun and challenging to play as either side.
I have a few small suggestions, though: Some of the national foci still give +X% research speed for doctrines, instead of XP cost reductions. (I have the necessary DLC)
It would be great if Chtulhu also gets a few commanders and political advisors (and some design companies as well) to flesh out their government.
And I'm not sure if this is working as intended, but: If you convert a nation you are at war with, it white peaces you, converts to cultist government, but then declares war on you again and resumes the war (after it has received back all the lands it lost to you)

The mod is updated and some countries have Cthulhu cultists, and I got the Cthulhu rises event at 100% world tension, but the war has been going for a year now and Cthulhu hasn't actually risen.

Been awhile, fired up the mod, had a blast with Commie France, fighting the Axis and the Cultists at the same time was thrilling as I blasted out tanks at a pace not even a literal god could keep up with. Island hopping toward R'lyeh (reclaiming TAHITI for Dutch) was intense and great fun. To add to the drama, 1941, Edward got couped by the Cultists, causing him to leave the Axis and join the Cult as I was preparing to invade from Calais and Dublin.
Toward the end, I purposefully waited so that capitulating Cthulhu would end the entire faction, and also had 7 spies running amok like Rambo on R'lyeh itself. The invasion of R'lyeh and the Final Battle was great, even if it was just some lines on a map it was more than likely the battle for the fate of the entire universe. The Elder God being confronted by 300,000 infuriated french people sounds like an amazing finale. Mod's still great, would love some extra flavour events perhaps, showing what that massive finale would look like.

I am not having trouble, really, it was more a suggestion for added complexity to the mod, to make some delays and so on, or to speed things up. This would probably require other stuff to be added if you did add it, but I dunno what exactly. Just more complexity and intricacy.

- Play as the USA to start. It has few neighbors to spread influence and is unique situated to navally invade R'lyeh. It can also reconquer South America once it inevitably falls to Cthulhu.
- Until you have access to Occult Hunters at World Tension 100%, don't do anything occult!
- Once you do have access to Occult Hunters, use it! It will overwhelm the "Neighbors with Cthulhu" modifier, meaning you can spend your hard earned PP elsewhere and accept Cthulhu refugees.
- As soon as you get the chance, Navally invade Cthulhu. If you can capitulate him, all of his subjects lose their awesome bonuses (but they retain their stability loss).
- Cthulhu's puppets bleed stability over time, and at low stability they get debilitating modifiers. If you can hold them off for long enough, they will fall apart by themselves.

@peiper & @KarlThornsten89 - I'll write up some tips in the discussion section for playing both Cthulhu and against him! If you are having trouble, I'd start with the US and give that a go - they are best suited to fight his influence!

Yeah, letting players and AI counter Cthulhu's influence would be nice, and they should be doing so constantly until the cultist ideology reaches a certain %, like 50-60 or more. Cthulhu needs to have mroe of a challenge influencing hte world, and cultist neighbhours should also have less impact on everyone around them - the AI needs to actively work towards growing their influence, and the AI not swapped over needs to fight back more. And Cthulhu shouldn't automatically wake up at 100% WT, I think it should go in stages which the entire world sees in events.

The news events should be different for each of the 4 ideologies - or 5, with this mod, and the AI could sometimes get a choice, 2-3 of them, that will either quicken Cthulhu's full awakening, or add more days to it, while the Cthulhu AI/player has a timer in the Decisions section, and is also able to quicken or delay his inevitable awakening, but 100% WT is needed to START waking him up. This gives everyone some extra time to prepare.

So, suggestions. 1. I have burned 300 PP in the last 3 months in game as I have 3 new cultist neighbors due to borders shifting. I think the 10PP should be 10pp at most. 2. There should be to do anti-Cthulhu stuff even though you're not corrupted, so I can help keep my allies from falling. 3. I was just looking at my neighbor-friend Italy and in 1944, they didn't have any designers and were short of advisors. Their PP production couldn't possibly keep up with the problem in #1. 4. Give the spy advisor guy a bonus/ability to reduce Cthulhu influence similar to a pro-[insert ideology] advisor would do.

Thanks for the hard work! I'm going to try to finish this game, but I admit, I'm gonna use some cheats to keep my friends and neutral countries from falling. 1/2 the world is challenge enough to fight...

My allies slowly corrupt until I have to fight them too. There's nothing I can do to stop it. And because they're my neighbors, I live in negative political power to keep Cthulhu out. Once I had a tad of corruption and I could send out hunters. But I can't do that without allowing myself to be corrupt and because I can't get ahead in PP anyway.

But then again, maybe we're not meant to survive the awakening of the Elder Gods? In which case, you should have told me before I bothered to try. For a few years, though, the mod was pretty fun!

This is a great mod. I do have a minor suggestion. If a country IS AT WAR and converts to Glorious Almighty Cthulu, instead of just joining your faction it would be better if it triggered a civil war. This would create chaos and improve on the overall experience of the otherwise predictable(no offense) dynamics.

Cultist nations slowly lose stability. When they get to low enough stability, the get an event option to be puppeted by Cthulhu for a stability boost. AI usually take it.
