I've made a compatibility patch for Road to 56, but it was been reported some issues by some players, I'm waiting Dankuser to update his mod to me fix this issues, but its working well here.

MTG Expanded does not touch focus trees. That would be a question for RT56 discord.

Hi,

If I play with this mod active as Spain, it force the rt56 focus and cant use the dlc one.
Any clue to fix it?

That is the Idea, but HOI4 was never update to take advantage of user selectable load order like the other games have been. So you will probably need to go into the there descriptor.mod files and add/update their dependencies sections to get the load order correct.

Thank you for the quick response! I miss my nuclear (NUCULAR) battleships. So in order to avoid whatever they do,

RT56 -> RT56RP -> MTG -> MTGRT56?

Looks like they The Road to 56 RP does some direct edits on the module files that RT56 also uses, and are missing nuclear engine modules.
They also change the naval doctrines. So, depending on load order you might be also missing the doctrine modifiers for the new ship type that MTG Expanded adds.

Something really odd has happened for me.

I have only RT56, RT56RP, and then the two MTG mods installed and heavy nuclear and carrier nuclear power plants seem to have vanished. As in, Naval Power only gives me Super-Heavy power. Is this a "you" thing or a RT56RP thing?

So, some feedback. I kinda feel like Sub 5 should get the MTGE sub slots (armour, misc modules etc.) given it can potentally proxy as the first gen of nuclear subs it makes sense that they'd be going all out to make it as deadly as possible.

My 0_overwrittenTechs file didn't have light_ship_engine_nuclear_1 or cruiser_ship_engine_nuclear_1. I'm not sure if this was for me only or if it was the mod.

The radar snorkel has a different module slot than the ether snorkel or radar modules. That slot is only found on cruiser sub 1 & 2, carrier sub, and formerly sub 5 before it was replaced by the RT56 sub 5.

I am tempted to move radar snorkel module into the same slot as snorkels 1 to 3.

So I have noticed that the techs for MTG all show up, bar all the extras for Submarines.

For instance, I can't get a schnorkel radar on normal submarines, but I can on Cruiser Submarines. Nor can I change the systems of the submarines, i'e air dependent, hybrid systems and such.

For note, I have tested this only with R56, MTG and the Patch. Is there something I am doing wrong? Or were those technologies just left out?

Mostly everything else is working for what I can see. Unless these were supposed to be left out.

The observation mast occupies the same slot as the radar. So, any ship is able to have one. Now I am imaging a submarine with a pagoda mast.

Strange, the observation mast is showing up for me in the 1922 battleship tech, and it's showing up in the radar slot on ships.

It is not a matter of load order. Expert AI does not work with RT56.

I just ran MTG, MTGE, RT56 and it worked, when i sorted the load order, but when i add more division icons, Expert AI, naval and air reskin, the mod stops working.
Is it a load order issue? Should they not be at the bottom in PDX? those mods shouldnt affect the trees at all

Infantry and armor tech trees are not things mtge should effect.
Are you sure that you aren't running another mod that would change those? Because I just compared the infantry and armor tech trees in game and they are identical to between just running RT56 and running RT56+MTGE+Patch.

@licarious - so I tried this mod months ago, and it wouldnt work for me, it compresses the infantry research tabs - when you activate RT56, MTGE, and MTGEcompatibility, it also distorts the tank tab as well, I tried in MP yesterday with 2 other players and we all had the same issue.

I have deleted everything, unsubscribed from everything, uninstalled everything and then reinstalled it. And it worked. Both MTG exp and the RT56 patch is in working order. The Paradox and its launchers is a real disaster...

It worked when I played the game sometimes in september or so. So I know how it looks like when it works. But now it clearly doesnt. I have tried installing, reinstalling, deleting, unsubscribing, subsribing, etc. Nothing worked. Im still testing various options, but currently doesnt really look like its going to work...

I have reduced my list of activated mods to only MTG expanded, MTG ex RT patch and RT56, yet the MTG expanded still doesnt work.

There are two things that need to be fixed:

1- It is not possible to search for the Pre-Dreadnought hull

2- France already comes with submarine cruisers but does not have the technology researched.
