fantastic mod sir.. thanks for ur effort! take this price :)
Opposing Farce  [author] Jan 25, 2021 @ 10:07am
This mod still works AFAIK, it simply adds to the bonuses CA added in response. So yes, in effect there are duplicate bonuses. But if you want even better orcs...

This mod can be added and removed mid playthrough without issue.
Shatilov Jan 24, 2021 @ 11:28pm
@LWH @Deviant @Opposing_Farce so is this mod still needed, are there duplicate bonusses
lwhのsama Nov 12, 2020 @ 3:23pm
great mod,keep update

尊重的作者,请问一下。这个mod只对自己有用吗,
Opposing Farce  [author] Jul 31, 2020 @ 9:53am
Indeed, that is what happens. For those who like having 'extra' bonuses for their orcs they can feel free to keep using. Otherwise, yeah, this mod isn't necessary if someone's content with CA's adjustment.
Deviant Jul 29, 2020 @ 9:15am
I mean, the developers have released an update with a modified tech tree. Most likely now duplicate bonuses will appear along with this mod ...
Opposing Farce  [author] Jul 23, 2020 @ 5:16pm
It should work without an update, haven't played in a bit so it may be a while.
Deviant Jul 23, 2020 @ 12:31pm
Update?
Opposing Farce  [author] Jul 15, 2020 @ 6:22pm
Apparently if the beta they just updated works fine they'll make the patch 'live' next week. I'll look into updating it then, but I imagine this mod still works, updated or not. It's a simple table edit.
Gleen Cross Jul 15, 2020 @ 11:40am
I was ready to press 'F' to pay respect, but it seems CA didn't updated the game yet... So, this mod will remain a necessity after it? Is there any date for the official update?
Deviant Jul 13, 2020 @ 9:48am
Update pls
Emoge Jun 20, 2020 @ 4:24pm
I like this much better than the proposed changes on June 18. Thank you Opposing Farce for this!
Opposing Farce  [author] Jun 18, 2020 @ 8:15am
Ok I'll take a look at the changes.
Deschain Jun 18, 2020 @ 7:22am
The only thing I would change in this mod based on the beta patch is increasing the missile damage to 25% to orcs too.
Deschain Jun 18, 2020 @ 7:19am
They just updated the open beta patch with some improvements for orcs, but I still think this mod is better. The buffs they gave to orcs are really small still.
Minibotas Jun 4, 2020 @ 7:15am
just as I feared: the research tree gives more buffs to gobbos... welp, now with this mod I can't complain anymore, time to deploy more Boyz as the TRUE frontline unit for Greenskins!
Homuya May 31, 2020 @ 3:37pm
@Thrakerzod

Still adds to the op DLC experience considering Grom can even buff them further on top of those benefits and the only reason they have those is said DLC/Update so people wanna use op gobbos with gobbo leader.

Grom should really just have his own research tree or modification that benefits gobbos better than orks but not for everyone else, I think that would have been a good solution.
Thrakerzod May 31, 2020 @ 12:26pm
@Homuya [GER] while that may apply to Pump Wagons and Troll upgrades the main issue here is the Goblin units as a whole compared to the Ork units (both being units that you can have without the DLC and the issue being a part of research that you can have without the DLC) so this is more of a free update issue than that usual DLC issue as people who don't even have the DLC are reaping the benifits
Homuya May 31, 2020 @ 1:30am
@Gleen Cross

Its not a bug its just business practice. Release DLC OP then nerf afterwards after people bought it.
endurstonehelm May 30, 2020 @ 1:31pm
Thanks for making the mod.
Gleen Cross May 27, 2020 @ 8:38am
Nice to know =) On a side note, the fact orcs are lagging behind can be considered a bug? Maybe the community can reach a common ground and add this to the community patch?
emperorjony May 27, 2020 @ 8:27am
Seconding MaS, he is right on the money. I would recommend either mod as a must-have improvement on the GS tech tree. Da boyz need sum luv
Mona May 27, 2020 @ 8:14am
Great mod! I really like that you made the orc research apply to all orc types (savages and black orcs included). Would you consider doing the same for wrapping Night Goblins into the Goblin techs? As it stands, it seems like buffed basic goblins are just strictly better than Night Goblins (minus fanatics and poison). Although some of that might be more from Grom's skill-line.
Opposing Farce  [author] May 27, 2020 @ 7:54am
Hey no problem, appreciate the sentiments all, and that's a fair take.

Also, this mod uses simple edits. So if you ever wanted to tweak a mod for your own liking its easy, and a mod like this is a great place to start.
MaS May 27, 2020 @ 7:46am
To anybody who wonders whether to use "Better Greenskin Research" or "Orc Technology Integration for Greenskins", or "which is better":
It depends on what you want from the mod.
Do you want a lightweight tweak of the Tech Tree to bring your Orks up to speed but want to keep it low profile? Use "Better Greenskin Research".
Do you want more changes, because you feel the need to improve other units (especially the damn Giants)? Then go for "Orc Technology Integration for Greenskins".
I think both are well made and want to thank both authors for sharing their work. You guys are awesome and put the icing on our cake made of war and death.
StrykerMagnus May 26, 2020 @ 9:39pm
Hi @Gleen Cross, I'm the creator of the "Orc Technology Integration for Greenskins" mod. I think this "Better Greenskin Research" accomplishes two things that mine doesn't: 1. The name is shorter and easier to say, and 2. The changes this one makes are more subtle and arguably more balanced. It's really a choice between Gork or Mork. Both offer something good.
Gleen Cross May 26, 2020 @ 8:22pm
So.. what's better, this one or "Orc Technology Integration for Greenskins"?
Teacher Man May 26, 2020 @ 1:41pm
Going to try this out in my late game Grom campaign. Thanks!
UsualPigeon May 26, 2020 @ 5:13am
Great mod. Did seem strange the tech like the Arrer Headz were just suited to goblins now when im pretty sure it included Orcs originally
BLING BLOW May 25, 2020 @ 7:19pm
perfect five stars plus its not op which is nice it feels natural keep up the good work man.
Opposing Farce  [author] May 25, 2020 @ 5:36pm
@_Zorbaz sure, by all means!
_Zevon May 25, 2020 @ 2:14pm
Hey is a great mod! Can I add it into my campaign compilation mod with the appropriate information that it came from you?
Malykriss May 25, 2020 @ 2:03pm
Oh, I had no idea, nevermind then. Haven't played them yet!
Ahdrius May 25, 2020 @ 11:18am
Damn this is perfect. The buffs are not overpowered and should have been in the game, thank you
Opposing Farce  [author] May 25, 2020 @ 9:52am
@Twitch Staff yeah, searching is kind of wonky. When you search it includes words in the title and the description, but has a lot of jank.
Guts May 25, 2020 @ 8:03am
The name right now is perfect. I don't know how searching works exactly for the workshop, but this mod shows up when you type 'greenskin' and that's probably what you want
Opposing Farce  [author] May 25, 2020 @ 7:41am
@Net Neutrality that's actually a vanilla research bonus and I'm not interested in removing vanilla bonus

@Flying Fox I like it!
Flying Fox May 25, 2020 @ 2:27am
Suggestion for mod name: Bigga Thinkin'
Malykriss May 25, 2020 @ 1:48am
Awesome work! A tiny nitpick of mine is that 'eavy clubs should give bonus vs large for savage orcs instead of replenishment, but apart from that everything else seems good!
Opposing Farce  [author] May 24, 2020 @ 8:30pm
It should be, yes. It should be safe to add and remove mid game.
Homem Churros May 24, 2020 @ 8:16pm
Awesome mod! Is it savegame compatible?
Opposing Farce  [author] May 24, 2020 @ 7:26pm
Also let me know what you think about balance. I didn't want to steal goblins thunder entirely. For example, I let goblins keep their really high upkeep reduction, speed bonuses, and ranged combat bonuses as those felt appropriately goblin-y. I did consider adding a 5% physical resistance bonus for orcs to the very last tech node, but held off for now.
Opposing Farce  [author] May 24, 2020 @ 7:03pm
I have no idea what to name this mod, so I'm willing hear suggestions.

Also, I may tweak some other tech nodes to offer extra benefits to, say, trolls or spiders. It's kinda lame that they get such little tech representation.
