Heyo.
Same here, I have both Colony Groups and Job In Bar
And my dudes have no job below their name, plus what they are currently doing is bugged. IE: one is researching and it's written that he's walking.

I have a similar issue, where the job titles won't show up. First I had many issues with displaying stale info but most were solved by making sure Colony Groups was loaded after Job In Bar. Currently for whatever reason the game thinks my colonists are guests so the toggle for guests also hides job titles from colonists.

I know it's a mod conflict because it works fine without my 500 other mods, but I haven't been able to isolate it. It seems unrelated to VFE Tribals and Hospitality, which were my two biggest suspects.

It is written that it is compatible with Colony Groups, but when the two are used together, the function that displays job in bar after save/load does not work.

Unfortunately, no error log is generated. Removing the colony group from the save will fix the issue.

Okay, that should be fixed, thanks for pointing it out to me! I added an extra 2px to the top and bottom of all labels and it looks correct to me now. Let me know if characters are still being cut off after this update.

First of all, thank you for making such a good mod. However, there is one thing that is unfortunate. My native language is not English, and when I use this mod, the upper part of the character is cut off and it doesn't print out properly. Of course, I don't have a big problem using it, but is there a way to set it so that the character doesn't cut off to further improve player mood?

I'm probably missing something obvi, but titles (default and custom) aren't showing for temporary colonists (refugees, visitors etc). It's annoying as I use this to tag which ones I want to keep, remember what temp jobs I gave them, etc. I fiddled with the patches a little but no joy. Any hints?

@Vortek Gamer yep unless I'm still misunderstanding that exact option exists. It's in the top right of the mod settings, called "Only draw custom job titles"

sorry, yestorday was a long day and I was typing too fast as well. What I ment was that if there is a setting for it to not to grab the adult backstory and be blink until you put in the custom job. I look through the settings and I did not see that option.

Update that allows you to set an absolute Y offset for the current task, instead of it being automatically put under all the other labels.

Is it possible to have a space between the job title and the current task? I like to put the job title above the picture of the colonist and the task one below. But it seems like at the moment you can only move all labels above or below the picture.

@Proxyer good catch, I missed adding that to the language file. Those keys are dynamically generated based on some internal things, so I missed it. I'll include it in the next update

Hi just started using your mod. but I had is subbed for a while. I do wonder if there is a way that it dose not make the job title from the Adult Background. Just only it show when you have custom job title

That error should be fixed now, yes.
The mod is now saving its data with the pawn itself so if the game stops tracking a pawn, it should just gracefully not get saved.

Regardless, that specific message has been removed from the latest versions of the mod, I've put in a lot more safety checks since that patch was made.

Does this mean this error'll be fixed? [Dark.JobInBar] failed to check if a pawn's job should be drawn or not. (Was the pawn deleted?)
I've had to subscribe to a patch that fixes it because it was spamming my log!

Small update with a couple of fixes, only for 1.6 for now.
Fixed a couple of cases where labels were flickering or displaying with the wrong font.
Also switched over to a new better way of saving the mod's data to the save file. Old saves will automatically be converted. The new method should finally squash the old "null pawn" and "null key" errors for good.

Not likely. That mod completely replaces the entire Colonist Bar, so I would have to start almost from scratch with the Harmony patches.

Just put up another update that includes 1 new feature and some significant performance improvements. In my testing the performance footprint of this mod went down to 25% of what it was before.

You can also now reorder the labels using the new label options dialog from a few updates ago.

You can also now change the color of a pawn's name, not just their job title. This is an experimental new feature, but it's working perfectly in all my testing. Please let me know if you have issues with it, and you can now disable the patch for it if you just don't want it.

Update is up! I also added a new settings tab that lets you disable specific Harmony patches in this mod for advanced users. Be careful with it, but if you're having issues with part of the mod or you just know that you don't want certain features, you can control just how much (or little) the mod is patching.

I just put up an update that might(?) have fixed the Colony Groups compatibility for this version. I don't use that mod personally but it should at least mostly work now. There might be some weirdness with labels being drawn in the wrong spot, I recommend resetting this mod's settings if so.

Big new update is up with the aforementioned settings overhaul and new color picker. The code in general has been significantly improved and hopefully should be MUCH less error-prone.

This is a breaking change. Any mods with compatibility patches will need to have their patches updated. Any translations will need to be updated.
